Jose Aleman If you're gonna mess up, best to do it at the very end imo. He killed that run as far as I'm concerned. So many flawless stages, and just like two mistakes at the end
tj12711 that's the reason I said it broke my heart. He was doing so freakin' well. And I don't think messing up at the end is the best, it just hurts a lot more, taking in consideration that he could have pulled off another strategy if he had lost the hammer before reaching the last level

Absolutely insane how close all of these runs were all the way up until the very end. When you take into account the deaths, different strategies and missed tech having the end of the race be that close is amazing. It was a pleasure to watch live on stream and it was a pleasure to re-watch here on TH-cam.

Well done Poo. I watched this last night as I wasn't able to catch it live. Considering the time difference for starting SMB3 you made quite a bit of time up for your team. Even if you didn't take the gold, You had the butt end of the RNG and gave it a great shot. It was a pleasure to watch.

Hey POO, I have mad respect for you. On another video I commented that your Genesis opening should have the sound F/X "PooBear" but quickly realized that would be to much of a rip of Jaku's opening and understood why you didn't do that....you back up how upstanding you are by going into this race by sticking to your Hammer Bros strategy and when it didn't work out your genuine "I'm sorry" when it didn't go your way shows your sincerity and how much a good dude your are and dispute how much you wanna do your leg with swag it killed you to potentially let your team down. Great run. You are the man!d
Gotta give some mad love to Kirua, holding the world record at that time, had the lead but decided to make a few deliberate mistakes to help the other races catch up alittle.
That was such an incredible race. You guys are insanely good! lol With it being 3 hours.. there were a few different times where I wanted to get up to eat or anything else... but I couldn't stop watching. It was intense how close it was even 5 games later.
I don't understand though how it was an option to pick either Lost Levels or FDS SMB2 since they aren't exactly the same.
I think all our hearts broke for you when you lost the hammer brother suit, but your entire run was amazing though.

Check it out: at 2:45:08, Truman has the audio, but I was watching Dots at the time. Dots spin-jumps an enemy, and we hear the sound it makes! And then a couple seconds later, it happens again! But it was just because Truman spin-jumped enemies right at the same time. Fun little coincidence.

damn Poo you played amazing. Sadly Kirua is just too good 😂 he wouldn't crack at all or make any mistakes (until the world 8 ship but that's not enough). So much respect for Kirua though. Darbian imo was a good chance for taking the lead, but too many chokes :( Darbian should've just ditched power ups and played the levels with so much deaths. The extra time from killing bowser on the axe just wasn't worth it for a marathon. You could see RaikouRider may have gotten a better time even though Darb's the best LL player. Love Darb to bits though...you all won in my heart

Great run poo. If only you didn't get hit at the end causing yourself to lose your hammer you might have won the race. The 2 hands was also a killer but that wasn't your fault. That was just bad luck. Overall, you had a very great run and you were under pressure too.
