Transcript:
Ages ago, the world was a paradise populated with Men, Elves, and Dwarves by the Old Ones using Polar Warp Gates which transported matter through the Chaos Realm, but an unknown calamity destroyed the gates.
For centuries, the influence of the Chaos Gods poured through the broken gate, corrupting men and beasts in the North as the races of the Old World battled in the South. The Empire of Men, the most easily corrupted, were once united under the heroic Sigmar, but greed and lust for power have divided them. One man, Karl Franz, fights to unite the Empire once more under his banner.
Meanwhile, in the mountains, man's ally King Thorgrim and the Dwarves march from their strongholds to right the injustices recorded in their Book of Grudges, but the Greenskins under Grimgor Ironhide, hungry for combat, have resumed their vicious attacks. Unfortunately from the growing casualties on the battlefield, an undead army is being resurrected by the Vampire Count, Mannfred von Carstein, returned from an unholy pilgrimage, his motives shrouded in mystery.
You must decide the Old World's fate. Command great armies, deadly dragons, and powerful machinery to destroy the Chaos that threatens civilization or spread its corrupting influence because the only solution in these dark times... is war. And downloadable content.

Orcs can succumb to chaos, its just harder and sometimes they don't notice because the difference between a khornate orc and a normal orc is pretty minimal. They're particularly vulnerable to Nergal and Khorne; in 40K orderly, disciplined "Stormboys" were originally khornate cultists and while that's changed over the years, the implication is still that Khorne twists orcs by making them stop loving a good fight and obsessing on murder for its own sake, making traditional orcs a bit uncomfortable.
Nergal do like he always do.
Um, Orcs and Vampires aren't aligned with Chaos.
Aside from that, this was great.
the orks under grimgor joined the chaos tide and helped them destroy the old world until grimgor got bored of helping archaon, kicked him in da nuts and buggered off leaving the lord of the endtimes on his knees holding his balls

I thought Total War has always been rather mainstream with Strategy fans.
Warhammer is. But total war has always been a great game only loved by its players. Total war games get almost no advertisement so the only way to find out about it is by hearing it from someone or coming across a picture of it. Total war warhammer has had the most advertisement out of all total war games.

Meanwhile, in a land far far away, the Chaos were erased thanks to the Great Vortex, only to be weakened by the Twin Tailed Comet. The High Elves from Ulthuan, led by Aenarion warred against their Dark cousins from Naggaroth, led by his son, Malekith.
In Lustria, Lord Mazdamundi led the Lizardmen to fight for order, But a Clan of Ratmen known as the Skavens from Skavenblight, which is led by Lord Skrolk vows to eat everything in their path.
However, the Casualties from these battles are Reanimated into the Tomb Kings by Queen Khalida of Nenekhara.

as a long time total war fan its to awesome to see it get the recognition it deserves
downloadable content is only like 20 bucks and each one is a whole new race with its own campaign filled with units, heroes, relics and so forth, and it is usable in multiplayer.

You know what would be cool as shit? If there was a little island somewhere that you couldn't usually get to and can only find under specific circumstances, and it had a Webway gate on it. If you try and click on it, an Eldar skimmer comes out and knocks you away.

Mannfred didn't come back from his pilgrimage at the start of the game, he was resurrected after being killed at Hal Fenn at the end of the third Vampire War centuries before Total War: Warhammer took place..

Because the fact that they immediatly jumped to Archeon as the ever chosen and not even mention Crom the Conquarer, is very lore friendly :D Or the obvious DLC for the elves, blood and gore + a series of minor factions and units.
Remember it's going to be overpriced DLC they're going to milk this as hard as they can because Warhammer

There is the theory (that was introduced by the book Realm of Chaos- Slaves of Darkness) that the Warhammer fantasy world is a planet in the Warhammer 40k world thats trapped in a Warpstorm so no side can really reach it.

Chaos doesn't like anyone, but them succeeding and decide to destroy their creation and the Old Ones are like this annoying............well bye and then Sigmar straight outta nowhere shows up unites the tribes and does shit and chaos doesn't like that and then their is the other factions that get more love from GW and OP buffs then the main factions cough cough Skaven cough.

40K is Warhammer Fantasy but in space (NOT the other way around), so yeah, a lot of races will be simmilar, but they are different universes with different plots and the only thing connecting them are the Chaos Gods.

"Total War" is also an actual term. It means that your entire economy is aimed at war. Which is what you'll be doing most of the time in Total War.
