Simple and to the point. This looks great. Grilled chicken is always my favorite meat to get when I get Mexican food. I'm going to give this a try tonight and make some tacos.
Hi Friend, Honestly this is a really good marinade for chicken or beef. The combination of flavors is one of my personal favorites. Thank you so much for the visit. Let me know if you try it!
How did I ever miss this? Sazon Goya is so good. What a delicious recipe Rosie, I bet this chicken would make superb tacos. Thank you so much for sharing!
Hi Rosie ! Enjoyed video ! Looks super delicious and easy. Will have to try it. Thank you so much for this recipe. Loved hanging out with you ! Take care be safe and enjoy the rest of your weekend. 👍😎👍❤️🌹🌻👋
I made it on a whim the other day because I realised that I had all the ingredients in the kitchen. And it was the star of the day. I crave it now and need to make it soon again. It was that good. I also. Sneakily fried/cooked off the rest of the marination into a reduced sort of glaze that i put on the chicken which was magical. Would recommend this dish. For context: It was my first time trying to make Mexican food, and on that day I also made Mexican rice and mole that went with the chicken. All was wonderful and such new flavours, but the chicken was my favourite part.

Hi George, I have seen it done both ways. I wouldn't doubt that I did it backwards. I tend to have a weak grip. For me, it seems easier to squeeze the pulp flat. lol Either way the chicken really comes out tasty. Thanks for the visit!
@@RosieCooks I think I'm picky with food safety because I'm a supervisor in a kitchen and we have to be food safe certified 😊 but I do love your recipe.
I totally get it. In some of my videos I was saying 165. Then I heard RR say 160. In this particular video 160 came out of my mouth. But I think 165 is probably better. Thanks for the visit. You have some awesome stuff on your channel as well!

I have never frozen this marinade. However, I freeze lime juice and lemon juice all the time. There are frozen Orange juices. I would think that it would freeze well. That's a good idea. I like to freeze things to have them handy for another time. .

What is the Best brand of sazon to buy to use for marinade?
Maybe chop up your cilantro to release the flavor? Add lemon 🍋 juice and zest of the lemon and orange. Skip the vinegar and add beer 🍻 Chili powder ,cumin and garlic
Hi Budz, I agree that I should have cut the cilantro. It was my 1st time making this chicken. Still, it did come out very tasty. I love your suggestion about the beer! TFW!
will this still taste the same if I bake it? I’m trying to stay away from stove frying it because I’ve read how unhealthy things like Pam can be. Or would using virgin olive oil be healthier?
Also, Bertha you can alter any recipe. If you want to make it heathier, lessen the oil amount. use only 1 or 2 tablespoons. It will still taste really good!
@@RaggedyAnnWins I am so happy to hear that you liked the recipe. I also, really appreciate you letting me know. Thank you so much. Take care my friend!
If you want to be healthy cook with animal fats like lard or tallow. Time to look into the history of the American heart association and their lies. They told us to stop eating so much meat and cook with vegetable oils and crisco to help with heart health and obesity. Look at what happened to us agyer they said that. We got fatter and heart attacks are through the roof. What did people cook with before then? Animal fats, ate red meat a-plenty, and enjoyed eggs. People bat an eye if you consume sugar and junk and poison marketed as health food. The most vilified foods (meat, eggs, real butter, and animal fats) ...you eat those and people go crazy. Eat processed sugar filled poison cereal for breakfast- you're good. Enjoy steak and eggs for breakfast- you're gonna "clog" your arteries. Time for people to start realizing that what "they" tell us is healthy is really killing us. Time for people to realize that we need to do the exact OPPOSITE of what they say. Just look at the food pyramid they teach! Bread, carbs, wheat, bread, starches - so heavy on all of that and VERY minimal animal protein. It should be the other way around. Minimal starches and breads if at all.
I had all the ingredients! Followed the easy directions. My family left nothing behind. It was DELICIOUS! It's a keeper. Thank you.

Hi Michele, I like the one that I used in this video. They all have a lot of flavor. Thanks for watching!
@@RosieCooks no problem but does the meat especially steak stays juicy after marinading it?
@ Hi Michele, It adds a lot of flavor. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Would this work for a open flame bbq

I do it the same way but instead liquefy the onion and cilantro with the marinade in a blender
That's a great idea friend. Thanks for stopping by!
Can someone please let me know how much in tsp or tbsp the 2 sachet of achiote equal to. The one I have is a huge packet not sachets. Thanks
Hi Jas,
If you are purchasing Sazon seasoning in a packet, there is approximately 1 and ½ teaspoons in a packet of store-bought Sazon.
Maybe chop up your cilantro to release the flavor?
Add lemon 🍋 juice and zest of the lemon and orange.
Skip the vinegar and add beer 🍻
Chili powder ,cumin and garlic
