Our bus sounded exaclly the same at Island Transit, 1992 CNG Flxible Metro C 40ft Bus #9201 it also had a name Bigg Bretha because of the humming it made and it being the biggest out of a fleet of 13 1991 Diesel Flxible Metro B 35ft buses we had #9101-9113. Boi was she fast going through them gears and never was late, if so she made up time.
thank you so much..it really shows how much DART has changed..from those old buses>now retired, to those trains>now with new middle sections added on, to the DART routes changing, to the T's older buses, it's all amazing..Thanks once again :)
OMG this is so amazing..thank you so much. grew up riding DART..still do everyday, but didnt remember DART at this time..i was a toddler here..i miss those Neoplans..never remebered what they sounded like
TheCRTman The 1995 one numbered 522 (40' long), does. Most of the 35-foot Flxibles, like the first two I see, had ZF transmissions, although the last one I see sounds as though it has a Voith. As far as I know, the Neoplans here used the HT748.
ClassicTVMan1981X Thanks for that info. However, do you know what DART's 1990 Flxible CNG (fleet 137-138) had with the L10G? Thanks for that info as well.
@@TheCRTman Some new information about 501-513 and 751-769 (both of these being the 1992 Flxible Metro Cs): 501-513 were built with transit-style seating and back door. 751-769 were built with suburban-style seating and no back door. Both were delivered with Cummins L10G (CNG, code K) engines and ZF ECOMAT 4HP590 transmissions.

We had the same set up on our CNG Flxible Metro C 40ft #9201 with the Zf transmission, Cummins LTA-10G engine. New Jersey had five.
