This sounds a little different than the L-10. But great video! I love the sound of this bus!

Sept. 4, 1988 = Beaverton Transit Center moves to its present location at SW Lombard Ave. & 123rd Court, just north of Canyon Rd. The Line 52 route otherwise remains the same.
Sept. 13, 1998 = MAX Blue Line serves the west side for the first time, ending in Hillsboro. Line 52 adds the Willow Creek/185th MAX terminal to its list of timepoints.

I remember riding those 1988 and 1989 Flxible Metro's back in 1990 and in 1997 when I visited Portland and they were great sounding buses. They were more vocal and throaty sounding in comparison to the 1992-94 Metro's.
Did you ever get up to Seattle and ride their fleet back in the 1990's?

This video, because it dates from 1999, was shot one year after the MAX Light Rail service began serving the west side, which is what this particular bus line (52 - Farmington-185th Avenue, formerly known as Tanasbourne-Beaverton) represents.

June 17, 1979 = Beaverton Transit Center opens. Line 54 is split again: west of the TC, service (now extended north to Tanasbourne P&R) via Farmington Rd. and 185th is provided by Line 52-Tanasbourne-Beaverton. PCC students from the Beaverton/Aloha area transfer to Line 65-PCC-Rock Creek-Beaverton at Tanasbourne P&R.
June 17, 1984 = The extension of 185th Ave. between Tanasbourne P&R and PCC (Rock Creek campus) is transferred from Line 65 to 52, the latter renamed Farmington-185th.

I think the rear end sounds like it is starving for new oil.

WOW! Did you ever get a chance to record any of the 500 or 600 series Flxible Metro's??
