Where to Stay & What to Do on Your South Coast Road Trip (Travel Guide)

We start our #iceland adventure with a two night south coast #roadtrip with stops at Seljalandsfoss and Gljufrabui waterfalls, then on to the charming town of Vik for lunch at The Soup Company Iceland. Of course we had to stop to admire the view from Vík i Myrdal Church on a hill overlooking the black sand beach and town below.
We stayed one night at Fosshotel Nupar where we experienced the #midnightsun for the first time before heading to #jokulsarlon glacial lagoon for a #kayaking tour with Arctic Adventures. Then it was on to the Vatnajökull glacier for a hike in the amazingly warm (and unusual) #icelandic sun.
Finally we settled in at Hotel Skaftafell, overlooking the glacier and #lupine meadows. Dinner was at a gas station (don't knock it until you've tried it) across the street and after, we quite literally frolicked in the lupine meadows until we dropped.
