We Thought We'd Hate Venice: A Surprising Summer Visit to "La Serenissima"

Join us on our unexpected journey through the enchanting alleys and stunning canals of Venice!
With a couple days to spare before our Northern Italy road trip, we decided to check out #venice and see what all of the fuss is about! We expected smelly streets crowded with tourists, and - although you can still find that - we ventured a little off the tourist track and were rewarded with beautiful views, lovely people, and tranquil alleyways. Since we had our kids with us we skipped the museum tours and opted for a kid-friendly scavenger hunt that we arranged through airbnb (www.airbnb.com/experiences/46.... We topped off our experience with several gelato stops and, of course, a #gondola ride on the Grand Canal.
