    I don’t understand why there is so much hate on other people hating on other peoples cars…. They’ll go on to say Honda is better than Hyundai… Then Toyota is better than Honda… Then Dodge is better than Toyota… BMW is better than Dodge… it’s a never ending debate. It’s only a car, let people drive what they like.

    As a life long Honda fanboy I will say in recent years Hyundai has really picked up there game and I’m proud of them for this. I believe the main reason why some people refuse to believe that a Hyundai is actually not that bad is due to their old reputation. They went from being a brand where you had to get airbags as a separate add on to being as big as they are today. Honestly I applaud Hyundai for stepping up their game and I hope one day they will have the same reputation as Honda or Toyota. I hope they keep making fun cars and nice looking cars all at an affordable price. Don’t know how long the prices will hold because of greedy dealers but keep on going Hyundai btw nice car every time I see these things I will admit they are pretty cool and I might consider getting one one day won’t completely abandon Honda but would like to be in both

      Thanks for being open minded. I’ve owned almost 10 Honda vehicles over the years. They were my go to manufacturer, but the Accord Sport I had was a terrible experience, so that’s why I decided to branch out and try Hyundai. I think another reason they get a bad wrap is because they are cheaper, the people that buy them either don’t have the money or just don’t care to service them regularly. I’ve seen so many mechanics complain that owners never changed the oil or did any maintenance and when that engine dies they expect an engine replacement.

The brakes have held up perfect. Like I said in the video, I’m not aggressive on brakes, but you’d think after 30k miles they’d show some wear, but the pads are still beefy. If I did replace them, I’d either go stock again or maybe Powerstop. The Powerstop pads I had on my Charger were awesome and had very low brake dust, unlike the stock EN pads, which make a ton of brake dust.

And the other thing was I live in a small town and all shops like autozone, advance auto parts, ETC none have brakes that fit the Elantra N in stock and they can’t order any either which is weird but I was forced to get some online which was hard to find. Both the N and GLI are pretty rare in my area, I honestly think most of the people that have them ordered them and never sell them since they don't turn up used very often. Ecoboost Mustangs I see pretty often both new and used, I only really consider the Ecoboost because they tend to be sub 25k used and they're relatively inexpensive to deal with when things break compared to foreign cars.

Both of my wife’s Toyotas needed to be topped off every once in a while too, and her RAVV4 now has 184,000 miles on it and still running strong, so it’s not really a big deal or something to worry about. Neither should ever cause any warranty issue, but if for some odd reason they did, it would really depend on the dealership. I won't name any names, but some people just can't help but to take the car apart and touch every inch of it just to make it worse. BTW, I would absolutely recommend a lap 3 tuned ECU. I love my stage 1.5 and I got over 300 whp and 20 psi boost (no more octane learning headaches) without any power mods. It just requires HKS sparkplugs and keeps the OEM look with the option to put the original ECU back in under 20 minutes. I am not sponsored and payed full price.

      @@n-power-automotive I speak from experience, so I won't speak on N75. You can talk to others about that, I'm sure. David Chung from Lap 3 is very knowledgeable and has been tuning KIA/Hyundai for a while now. He says that generally, a HPFP upgrade is not necessary for a stage 1 or 1.5 tune. I purchased the Sonata upgrade and have not installed it. I have only had the Lap 3 tuned ECU for a couple of months, but it has been fantastic Lap 3 sells the spare ECU for $350, which is reasonably priced compared to some others. The Lap 3 off-the-shelf tune is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. David has it down to a science and these off-the-shelf tunes are great now, as long as the mods are not significantly different.The fact that you can get 20 psi and 300-320 whp without any mods but plugs and 93 octane gas is mind-blowing. I love not having anything plugged into my ODB 2 port and David answers all my questions promptly. We have a good FB group and a super positive community. I would suggest that for your personality, you may not want the pop-and-bang option for a tune. It is loud! If you do want it, you can do like I do and don't use the active exhaust feature and use custom mode with exhaust at normal. Then, if I want to crank up the decibels and get savage you can open it up fully. I am actually considering upgrading to a stage x tune with a downpipe and water-methanol injection. The cooling it offers and cleaning for the injectors and engine it offers are worth as much or more than the added power The one issue I have seen with this car is that the injectors can get dirty. The meth solves that and cools intake temps up to 50 degrees.

I decided on lap3 93 octane tune. They have a sale coming up for Memorial Day. I'm just not 100% sure if I'm going to do it or not. I've been procrastinating about it for such a long time and the fact that mine only has under 8,000 miles.

      Mine doesn’t feel anemic when it’s not octane learned, but you can definitely feel a difference when it is learned. I’m torn between Lap3 and N75. I’ve heard good things about both of them. Even SXTH tunes get good reviews.

    Because of how you carry yourself I know you'll do your research on a tuned ECU but IMO experience in the business means ALOT👈
    I'm bitter over my bad experience with 2 tuned ECU's. I asked BOTH times about needing the HPFP and was told I don't need one. Then fast forward to the "partial throttle issue" and the owner tells me to check the plugs, coils, HPFP and/or fuel injectors. Funny thing is though, the stock ECU goes back in and the problem disappears🤷‍♂️
    Now I've got an $1100 paper weight🙄🙄🙄
    Funny thing is, at WOT, it had NO issues, 0-60 mph @2800 rpm launch netted 5.09 seconds spinning the tires through 1st into 2nd and TC light flashing. FWIW the on-board dyno showed 367 PS/318 ft lbs on that pass (341PS/320 TQ on a freeway pull)
    The stock ECU netted a 5.31 0-60 mph and 304PS/269 ft lbs w/ slight hop (zero hop with the tuned ECU due to added boost added in launch control mode)
    In closing, IMO, go with THEE company that's been doing this since 2002, wish I had did more research when chosing my ECU tuner🤷‍♂️

      @n-power-automotive  28 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yikes. That sounds like a giant headache. I’ll definitely be doing my research. I have heard a certain one doesn’t say you need a HPFP or injectors. I’ve always just figured I’d do colder plugs, the HPFP and it necessary the injectors.

    • @klasseact6663
      @klasseact6663 28 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @n-power-automotive well on their site they "suggest" the upgraded HPFP for Stage 1, REQUIRED for Stage 2. When emailing him hr said I didn't need the upgraded HPFP for Stage 1 because it was "high timing/low boost". I made between 20-22 psi, depending on the weather and like I said before, WOT it was amazing, using a little throttle to pass someone it would stumble. The last straw was while on the freeway, in N mode, I went to pass someone normally and it stumbled, then threw a CEL.
      I pulled over, checked the code (0302...random misfire cylinder #2) so I cleared it, started up the car and it drove fine, code never came back. Shortly after that the tuned ECU wad swapped out for the stock one and no more issues doing normal passing, smoother too.
      He then suggested the HPFP upgrade but also said the other things I mentioned too, sounds like guessing IMO. I know the injectors are a problem for some but in my case when the stock ECU went back in there were no more issues🤷‍♂️
      It's too bad he didn't ask for the ECU back to check it out and make sure it was alright, he was sick when I sent it to him but that's why I'm posting this, just my experience with thus latest tuned ECU🤷‍♂️
      Good luck to you in which ever route you go buy IMO I'd look to the "left coast" instead of "north of the border"💡
