  • The Mamiya RB67 is a great medium format film camera for anyone looking to start getting into medium format film photography. After almost 3 years of owning this camera I wanted to review it, so anyone looking to get one now has a good idea of where it could fit into their film photography kit. I have decided to sell it after all this time because I do not believe it best suits my photography needs anymore. I really have enjoyed shooting the Mamiya rb67 after all this time. It honestly reignited my desire to shoot film, and has inspired me to start shooing film in my professional work. I have shot the first part of my zine with this camera and I am really excited to start shooting with the Mamiya 645 to finish the zine out. As well as integrate that camera into my professional photography workflow.

Lmao when you started roasting it. I laugh because I relate. I've been pondering about selling mine, but the fact that it's all mechanical makes me really appreciate it.

When the electronics of that 645 takes a crap on you during a wedding, the RB will still be shooting strong.

I have an M645 that I'm posting a review for soon, but I definitely think the compromises as well as modulatory definitely make it a worthwhile MF camera for most people.

This was the professional studio tripod workhorse for years.
Then it was Canon 5d 11

Sorry to hear that the RB67 did not meet your needs.
When I need something more portable than my RB67 with 90mm normal lens, I use a Fuji 6x7cm rangefinder with fixed 90mm lens.
When I need something more portable than my RB67 with 50mm wide-angle lens, I use a Fuji 6x9cm rangefinder with fixed 65mm lens.

Those both sound like great kits to use. I’ve been using the Mamiya 645 a ton and I’ve been loving it. Will be putting up a few videos soon about it
