What range advantage? Jack has the 3rd worst range in the game for neutral. Go to practise mode and measure that Jack will lose almost everybody in range.
well his jab and df2 reach longer than most cast, it's always jack strong point , jack also have back 1+2 and that ss 2
@@Velesto_Eto Well, sadly the answer is no.
Please try this out in practise. Leo and others has better reaching df2 or hop kicks than Jack 8 df2. Jack has a very low hitting hitbox on df2, which others don't, but range of 15f launcher is not that good as it was for example in Tekken 7.
ss2 is not good. Super slow startup and high with huge recovery and also, again, will lose to most mid other characters have, starting with any demon paws and Claudio b1s, Jin f4 etc etc
Jack b+1+2 is his only good reaching mid, but even that move is out reached by small women like Xiaoyu, Nina...even Zafina.
Tekken 8 is a bad game design, since they don't have the character types anymore, like in the old days.
How it usually was - you pick huge hurtbox character to get long reach, strong pokes, throws and easy damage. But you are slow, you cannot sidestep and you take longer combos, since your body is huge.
How it is now - You are still slow, you still cannot sidestep and you still take longer combos and more damage, but you don't get longer reach, you don't get easy damage...nothing. There is actually no reason in Tekken 8 to pick large body character.
There is no reason to not pick Lily or Dragunov for example. You get everything plus sidesteps, crushing, evasions etc.
Have you ever seen any loyal Jack 8 player dominate in neutral? Nope. Jack players are struggling to get in, because every other player can out space and neutral them...
Game design is just lazy and risk/reward is skewed towards new players.
