The first fights in this video are fantastic to answer the question I always have in my mind when I watch high pros games : "yeah, this is fine, but what would Jack do if the opponent wasn't even trying to defend and just mashed constantly?" I shall save and rewatch these.

I'm so jealous of how you can still make Jack viable after all the hard nerfs he got.
What were all the hard nerfs jack got? Was these nerfs carrying over from his tekken 7 counterpart or during the tekken 8 release post beta? Just curious as I would love to know. (I know his jack hammer doesn’t knd anymore, his db1 is slower and punishable, he doesn’t have the db1+2 launcher anymore and d1+2 got a big nerf and others) 😢
@@lNF_E_RN0 he lost tracking, his moves don't track anymore, in exchange throws in T8 were homing on release, but after the latest patch throws are steppable. Hence Jack has literaly NO TRACKING MOVE. His only homing moves are -13 and -15 on block... it's horrible. His stance is the only one in the game without a low or an unbreakable throw, basicallly you can beat ALL GMH options with SSL and block. And his throw game has been nerfed twice. First they made his dfdf2+4 slower from 11 to 14 frames, and then they nerfed the damage of his uf1+2 ddf2 throw... finally, the nerf on the heat burst track just made it unusable outside of combos. And the irony is that he got a recent buff on his wr+1+2 from +3 to +4 but that changes NOTHING because Jack's frame traps start at 15 frames, so you can't frame trap shit with that move... it's in general awful and the only reason a Jack player can beat anything is because the opponent makes mistakes...

@@Pilsudski_Tekken Tekken 7 season 4 had some good times when Gigas' wr 2 was +7 on block which led to some jailing flowcharts. Those were good times. I long for the day they return the armor on charged gamma howl 1. Also, a homing move like the one Claudio spams would be nice. Maybe if there was a way to add Gigas' 1-2(10f punisher that wall splats) into charged gamma howl or in neutral that would be PERFECT. I'm now in Tekken Emperor but I am more than happy to receive more buffs.
