Great work. Enjoyed your video. Came across your video when I was checking to see if anyone repaints cargo trailer. Awesome job, and entertaining thanks guys. Have fun, stay safe and stay healthy. 😎
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video and write such kind words. It's people like you that keep us going. We love this stuff and it does our heart well to know there are other like-minded friends who have similar passions. Have a great day brother and good luck on your project!
I just started working for a outfit out of Northern California, been a car guy most part of life, but getting to know diesel engines and big tractors 🚜. Love every day of my job. You guys are awesome
thank you so much for your video! I have been looking and looking for someone that would show me how to paint an enclosed trailer! And I loved what you did for camp hendon...what a wonderful project! Would you mind telling me what kind of primer and what kind of paint you used?
Nice Video. I have the same exact trailer. Im gutting it completely and starting from scratch. wiring and all. But I'm going from Black to white. Is there anything you recommend since its going from black to white. Any specific primer ? Also I'm doing it outdoors , is that not a good idea?
That was 9 months ago but for future readers of course you can paint outside! We have painted cars outside i have worked in a few body shops as a collision tech and of course you risk a bee coming along and walking around but do it under a pole barn, wet the ground an bour ahead, hang some plastic and make it happen.
I have a dent in the door panel to my Jamco horse trailer. Was caused by the jack stand handle being too long and the door smacked into it. Already has a hole drilled in the center. I don’t have a slide hammer, what’s an alternative?
If you could tell me, how much would a paint job like this cost? I have a 53ft enclosed I want repainted but have no clue who has a booth big enough to do it.
Hey Edward! Paint jobs like this depend on what exactly you're looking to do and how much you're looking to spend. If you do a full color change instead of just some touch ups, of course you can expect to be spending a little more money. It also depends on the kind of paint you want to use. We could fit a 53ft enclosed in our shop if you're interested and want to move forward with the body work! This page on our website can give you a little more information - www.newmantractor.com/heavy-equipment-painting Thanks for following along! We hope you enjoy!
Hey Edward! I remembered your question from a few months ago and we have a new video dropping today about how to bring your paint back to life without having to repaint. Hope it's helpful! th-cam.com/video/G40_wVcdjtM/w-d-xo.html
Looking at painting my enclosed trailer soon. Is any specific paint to use? Heard you say primer sealer first, then what paint? My benefit is I'm gonna resheet mine so starting with fresh clean aluminum
Primer first always works well. You should have a great surface with everything being fresh. We use Rival by DuPont paint. We have been really happy with results after 2 coats. Thanks for your interest and for watching brother! Good luck on your project!
does anyone know what they used for primer and paint? we have a small enclosed trailer similar to theirs and can't find anyone in our area to even attempt to paint it. We bought a Wagner paint sprayer last summer..would that work? Willing to do all the prep work as long as someone could help us through the steps. Going from black to white...black is too hot! Any help or suggestions is SO appreciated!

I'll try to remember to update this on how things go. Hopefully smoothly but who knows with my luck!
It will be great! Kudos to going at it and doing it yourself! Take your time with the prep work and masking and lay it on slow. You cant loose!
@@NewmanTractor Do you remember how much paint it took to cover the whole thing with 2 coats?

Did I see him taking a razor.knofe right to the surface when putting that vinyl on!?!? What do they do differently on steel panels?😐
HI I need my front fix my husband hit a tree branch hanging from a tree
Everyone does these in black, hotter than hades in the summer. Good that you put decals over it. But this isn’t a conversion it’s a paint job.
I’d get fired for putting that much filler in a panel.
🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟😎😎😎✌
Thanks for watching Herson!
cheaper to buy new trailer they are as cheap as chips!
wow!!!
