- SHOCKING NEWS! After 7 years, ASIMO is calling an end to monthly update cycle and closing the Jailbreak chapter. It's a bittersweet news and I will share my thoughts in this video. Subscribe and Like!
"What began as an idea by two online friends became a phenomenon that we still can't believe. Having a game loved by so many for so long is a developer's dream.
After many years, & hundreds of updates, we feel ready to turn the page and call an end to the monthly update cycle. The game has so much content these days. We want to avoid bloating Jailbreak with niche features that only benefit a handful of people. And, we are itching to develop and learn from crazy new moonshot game ideas, whether they succeed or fail. We want to dedicate everything we have to these new projects. We love making games.
But first, a LIVE EVENT is happening. Join us late April to celebrate the game, players, streamers, creators, and the history we've made with you. Teasers will be here in the coming weeks and we look forward to the celebration. Stay tuned for more info!
This isn't a goodbye. We still love Jailbreak. We plan to support our creators and keep seasons going with new cosmetics for those interested. We will also push important bug fixes. Long term, we'd love to surprise you with new features when they are ready.

This is very sad to hear as I am an og myself and whenever I get bored I find myself coming back to this game to relax and check out new content but now I can’t do that anyone but regardless jailbreak always had a special place in my heart and it will continue to have that. Also dat I think exploring door and maybe making a mini series on fully beating the game would be cool but do whatever your heat wishes as I will always support you

For the active players, everyone is already starting to decline in jailbreak so you will have to turn 7 years old, we will never miss it, we will also be in chapter 2, what they worked as a team with asimo and badcc gave a lot of joy to everyone

A few update ideas I would have are:
The weather update. An example could be say, something like wind, fog, etc. It wouldn't affect gameplay much if at all, but it would make the game a lot more visually appealing.
Potentially an update to make houses more useful or noticeable, as they are mainly just used for looks and sometimes grinding with a safe. Now I personally do not have a specific idea in what could be added, but I'm sure someone in the community would.
This next one is a stretch, but maybe the ability to rob non-player owned homes? The town could either be extended, or the houses could be put in an empty part of the map, or the map itself could even be extended. The robbery could involve you sneaking in through a window or unlocked door, and trying to steal valuables without the homeowner's dog(s) noticing you (the dog(s) will attack you until you either leave or get killed). You will then exit the home through your entrance once you have filled your bag, and you will take it to the volcano base.
Passenger plane robbery from crater airport. Will basically act as a mix of the passenger train and cargo plane, as you will grab valuables and maybe cash before opening the door and parachuting out, and bringing them to the volcano base collector.
The car dealership robbery. Somewhat similar to the cash truck on the cops team, you will steal a car and drive it to a set destination. It has multiple floors, and each floor has more valuable vehicles to steal. Each floor will have more and stronger NPCS to protect the vehicles. Instead of having a driving time limit like the bank truck, the stolen vehicles will have a limit on gas before they cannot drive any further. You cannot customize the cars being stolen. The robbery itself will have a time limit before reinforcements arrive, basically auto-killing you.
Oh also, I don't have any suggestions for the game you move to, but please continue to make jailbreak content somewhat, especially on new seasons or updates.
8:10 Seasons could be made so much more immersive if there were suitable map changes (for instance the apocalypse sky during this season), more theme-related cars (for instance if the XRK was added during the Japanese season) and more practical additional rewards per level (this could include rewards for lvl11+, and say, an extra 50k cash per level?) to help newer players and also boost more experienced players. There's still so much the devs can do to Jailbreak to make it feel more whole and complete.
I've been playing the game on and off for around 5 years at this point. I agree that a lot can still be done to the game but honestly, I think it's time to move forward. After all, it has been 7 years.
Sure, the game will always be there if we want to visit it, for nostolgia's sake, and they will update it if there are major problems. However, every good thing must come to an end.

True. I quit jailbreak quite a while ago bu when I heard its coming to an end i visited it, and they didn't even change much. The crater city is still empty, we haven't gone a new weapon, there are still a lot for jailbreak to do. Yes i agree that they already added a lot but I still think that there can be 3-5 more updates minimum and it has potentional to reach 10 years mark, and maybe then they can finish. Badimo can just change the update mark, like 3/4 months for an update. That way they can have more time for other projects + resolve the problem of adding stuff not everybody will profit from, while they dont really need to work full time 3 months on jailbreak, they can work two months and have other month for other games.Also the season thing is very true, there is a lack of rewards and knowing they are pushing this, for me bad, season theme for really long and now its even gonna be the only update, they really have to improve them.

If mad city managed to compete with jailbreak for years, while it had 0 updates during like 2 years because of chapter 2 , jailbreak can easily last without updates like mad city did

Im playing roblox jailbreak since june 2020 during covid pandemic lockdown
There are many ideas to do in jailbreak , linceseplate customization,engine sound customization, ui color customization,controllers on mobile customization ,making a feature where you can make some buttons bigger to be more comfortable to play on phones , changing map to have some og things like second garage in town (the near 1m store) the map expansion from 2019 in style before live event 2022 because it made worse,secret criminal base lvl4 under criminal base volcano , og styled graphics setting
they should add 2 more 1m shops in the citys 2
The game is not ending they just stopped monthly updates which in my opinion will make the game feel better
Its prob better they have way more time to polish updates especially since they did the same thing back in 2018 I think (or 2019 can't remember),they can probably do an update every 3 months or so but who knows
I have a question but will everything we bought during our youth on roblox jailbreak reimburse us?
Well, we know for sure, there wont be any updates during the middle of a season, but then again, every 2 months we get a new season. I'm surprised the game is still working properly even though its 7 years old. We should be happy that Jailbreak is still alive, and we shouldn't get torn up just because there wont be monthly updates.
Make sense after a while of updating the game they probably started getting new ideas for different games.

A really good robbery idea would be a submarine robbery, or even better a robbery update where they make every robbery more interactive

As someone who’s been playing jb for 5 years… I shed a tear 😔 . It’s just a game and stuff but I’ve lost a lot and me and my mates played jailbreak in that time and it was fun. like FUN. I haven’t had that type of fun since like playing bedwars last year. But after 2-3months of playing the game I’ve died out.

1. Monthly updates stopping doesn't mean there won't be any updates

robbing houses doesn't make sence, because we have a crews system you can own a house and design your own way. But asimo should make a roleplay game similar to jailbreak.

I play jailbreak everyday since 2017, that’s pretty sad, also played pet sim 1 back when it was launched, got almost all pets and everything and big games just desisted of the game, all my hours gone, not playing any BIG GAMES developments ever again, jailbreak should add more battle royal stuff to maintain the game alive

I think you should try making some ER:LC Content once Jailbreak stops regular updates.
Maybe the developers can add in new teams for jailbreak like superheroes and supervillains and also add lockdown mode that police and issue or enable also add in a new prison cell solitary confinement and maybe add in new melee weapons and new ranged and explosive weapons plus maybe add in FBI and Detective team and Hostile Forces team.
Boy, that would be an insane waste of an update if they did that the game would be alive for a day then die, that isn’t jailbreak anymore.

I do not know why DatBrian said the 22nd of April, but jailbreak came out on 21st of April. Because Jailbreak release on 21/04/17! Jailbreak was the top game on roblox game for half a year then a different game took over. I think meepcity or adopt me because them two are so popular games i played back then, I know MeepCity trash i am so happy that game not popular anymore.

I feel like this is a very negative view on this. They had an opportunity that maybe only a handful of devs had where they take a step back and say "wow its finally finished". Idk I may be an idiot but we should probably be glad they managed to even take it this far.
