you will also get some points :D I can also provied my link :D
I agree it’s important to check the car on delivery day, you will be excited but taking 20 minutes and slowly looking around and testing things is crucial. I had damage to all three rear seats, it was noted as delivery day faults and resolved with urgency
Is better to actually do a demo driving of the model you want to buy or rent it for a day or two so you can get a stolid review for what you gonna get when you buy it
@@chefTjaythat’s not what he was saying but what you are saying is also true
As much as they're selling I don't understand why they don't have quality control before they send these f****** out
It's a shitty customer experience and something they'll need to correct, but the reason is that their factories are cranking these things out as fast as they possibly can and any backups caused by QC can severely mess up their throughput since "efficient production" leaves very little room for error and is very fragile. So, instead, they push QC down the line to the showroom and service center. Which, much like the factory, is "efficient" and has a full lot and are booked for the next week in service. So they push it further down the line...to you...and give you a service appointment to fix it later. Hoping that you'll be excited enough with the car that you'll just take it early and live with the issue for a week or two. Which, most people accept, and those that don't have a queue of people with identical order configurations who would gladly take the defective car for an earlier delivery date. So long as people put up with it, they'll keep doing it.
Elon Musk sucks
Agreed 👍
Had the same problem with my 2016 Golf. A friend of mine was an engineer at Toyota and he said this happens a lot. The "adjustment" is to bend the door until it fits.
Lol so that explains the banging I heard while being serviced
Lol I've been in the auto field for a long time. Yes adjusting the door means taking the biggest guy you got in the shop and hang on the door.
@@dd89210 so essentially its a waste of money
@@yeazsire9920 Hondas? Yes because that's what I'm experienced with. Usually we're good about adjusting and such before it gets in the customers hands but you can't catch everything. Especially when sometimes delivery date and arrival off truck is the same day

If you check under the passenger seat thet come with a screwdriver so you can finish assembly

😂💀
Wrong. All Model 3s are now made out the Gigafactory. No more build issues. Get out of your cave and do your research.
@@Great_Americaits a joke ahad calm down
🤣
Same door and model had the same problem with the rental I got.
Had the same issue on the same door on my 2022 Model 3. Brought it in and they fixed the alignment.
Looks like it might be a common issue, Tesla has some more work to do when it comes to quality control
That’s a final QC check miss. But it’s a simple fix.
I got the same problem on same door... didn't know this was an issues others had
Mine was damaged during freight. $2347.25 dollars to be exact. It was a battle getting it fixed but it finally was taken care of because I was a dick and wouldn’t stop emailing them.
As you should though, quality of a potato
Same problem on my 2023 Chevy Bolt right rear passenger door. They "fixed" it but it's still not right. Glad Tesla at least addressed your concerns
My car has the issue to close two back door smoothly, you have to use force to close them. Also diver side window has whistling sound when speed is over 25 miles, steer wheel not at central position. Scheduled service in next month and hope they can fix the problems.
What a lot of people don’t realize is that when they buy a regular car at a dealer, the dealer takes that extra time that you are not with the car and busy signing papers to do a full inspection of the car and fix any mistakes they can. If the car was delivered how Tesla does deliveries then people would see all the defects these other cars also come with.
Me too. I just took delivery last month
They should inspect the car first before it's allowed to leave.
EDIT: OMG😱, somebody clicked an allocated input, on a device😏, making a digital unit change on my screen!😎
They do.
@@darren6831 if they did they wouldn't have problems like this
@@-Nighthawk-343 Ash, sometimes it could get damaged during shipping
@@Yult_A_S that's not something that would get damaged . It is a build issue when it's bent out like that. If it was a dent or scratch that would make sense however, it seems in this case manerfacturing issue. Along with the lack of proper inspection.
Every automobile I’ve bought has had some sort of problem that the dealership “inspector” either ignored to point out or didn’t find that I did at pickup. While very disappointing for cars in this price range, this isn’t unique to Tesla
I inspected my new 2022 Tesla Model 3 Performance when I went to pick it up, it was just fine, only the same right side rear door has a very tiny gap compared to the other doors, but not worth doing anything about it. The spoiler did have a small gap also on the right side like the glue did not work correctly. A year later the spoiler started to peal the clear protective coat so I decided to make an appointment with Tesla. The technician came to my work (a few blocks from the Tesla shop thankfully) and he fixed the spoiler in about 45 minutes, he basically took it off and replaced it with a new one. Been perfect since then.
What I did not realize until it was too late was that that it looks like my car was in the front of the trailer when delivered and it probably had lots of bugs stuck on the paint. The shop did a horrible job polishing the car, they basically scratched it all over instead of polishing it. But since I did not realize it until a few days later, I figured I would just take out my polishing kit and do a much better job myself including a final coat using a mix of wax and ceramic that I had. The car came about 95% scratch free and extremely shiny. The shop would have never done such a good job. And I would have had to wait who knows how long to be able to pick it up, so it was worth it the elbow grease I did. But soon I will have to do another polishing, but first I'm installing new side skirts and front lip 😊
Always check ANY car before driving it off the lot. I checked my legacy car wipers before driving away and the wipers didn’t work at all.
They are good about fixing things like this with their used inventory too. I bought a 2020 Model 3 Performance in February. They adjusted a few panel gaps and replaced tail lights with condensation for free.
Agreed I pick up our model 3 it had a chipped bumper. They setup an appointment and replaced the whole bumper. Hey they owned up to it and resolved it without question. I’m happy
I have the LASFIT mats too. Amazing grip and easy to clean up. Softest rubber ever.
My Model 3 was perfect luckily.
For $36K AND $7500 tax credit, this is a no brainer purchase. Congratulations!
I love acceleration and power but Tesla should focus on reducing rattling and annoying noises first before FSD. My 2023 Model Y LR has rattling and annoying noises front dashboard and rear seat area. I took mine to Tesla service twice and left it there total 10 days but TSLA service tech can not fix it. I regret so much that I bought Model Y and my friends are saying same thing 😢 I wish Tesla Service Tech can fix it.
I love these Teslas but it still amazes me how these brand new cars come out the Tesla factory with all these flaws it's really mind blowing
american cars are garbage
Good advice for all makes. When I picked up my Porsche 718 the passenger window was misaligned and actually hitting the quarter glass when I shut the door. Took it in for service and they aligned it and ran it through their extensive multipoint inspection to make sure everything else was in tip top shape.
I had the same rear door sticking out issue. They did adjust the striker to fix it
BUT that wasn’t the only issue with that door. I recently found out that door traps water after a heavy rain or car wash. When I open it the trapped water splashes out. I’d say about a half can of coke. It’s only that door too. Something must be wrong with the door seal and I’m bringing it in to a SC.
I would kick it up a notch and recommend this same advice to ANY car you buy. ESPECIALLY if new from the dealership.
Cars are the worst investments you can make if financed, as soon as they leave the dealership it gets devalued substantially.
So to any new car buyers, always check your car thoroughly.
I had the same issue except when I brought it in the first service guy agreed with me that there was an issue and that it needed a realignment but because my car was in service for two days, I think it was worked on by a different person who claims that it needs a break in period like how they claim all their new cars do. I ask them to check it again and they claim it is within spec. I’m so sick of hearing them say that. They did fix all my other concerns though..I’m thinking of loosening up the striker myself at this point.
Yeah that’s bogus to suggest that an issue like that is within spec, sorry that you’re having trouble with the service team over there. Generally speaking Tesla still needs work on their quality standards.
@@JSLReview Indeed, I agree. I went in knowing what to expect so I was a bit more prepared but it is still frustrating for sure. I’m glad they fixed your door though!
You need to find a better service center. Some SCs are just unbelievably incompetent.
I just picked up mine last month, The car was 10 out of 10. Upon driving the car, I noticed a slight rattle coming from behind the rear seat where the window brake light got worse over a week. I scheduled an appointment, and they attempted to fix it. (all they did was just lift up the panel and stuff insulation under that panel). Its in service shop again and hopefully the fix it this time.
I always tell new to be owners not to have their tesla delivered at home instead do everything at your nearest service center so you can document everything there on the spot on delivery date just to be safe.
I went to pick my M3 up last weekend and at inspection the bumper didn’t align where it meets under the headlights and there was a minor nick from a curb on the underside.
Tesla told me it is what it is-if they adjust it, it would misalign the other side and the curb rash was only cosmetic and to Take it or leave it.
Amazing car, but build quality leaves much to be desired. If something like the two back seats not being symmetrical or a side panel not being perfectly flush to the other panels is a deal breaker for a vehicle then Tesla M3 would be a bad choice.
Regardless, all of those concerns take the “back seat” for me. Because the car features compensate enough for me to be satisfied so far.
I was gonna get one last week but a sales representative buddy of my friend rescheduled and changed the location of my delivery and the date without asking for my consent, I was gonna be out of town so my previous schedule was perfect for when I returned to go pick up the car but when I fixed the issue they had to find me another car because that one had already been shipped to the new location 💀 they paired me with another one and the downpayment increased by 2k dlls making it 6k in total and that was not what I originally agreed to. I cancelled the Tesla chargers as well and they didn’t cancel the order and shipped them anyway.
It was a horrible shopping experience, I thought Tesla would be next level customer service and I’ve never experienced such horrible customer service, I ended up going for a 2023 KIA Sportage x-line prestige and it was honestly a blessing in disguise to have that bs happen to me bc I love my KIA.
How do they miss something that huge before delivery?
GMC now gotta inspect the paint really really good. They been having dirt in the paint & unfinished painted areas on the roofs.
Tesla quality at its finest lol
When buying a Tesla, do a thorough inspection and do not sign for it until everything has been checked, they will fix it a lot faster when you won't sign for it.
Seriously? Tesla never cease to amaze me 🤣🤣🤣
Do they not have QAs?
…when I took the delivery of my brand new BMW a couple years ago, I did not even contact the pre delivery inspection and assumed the vehicle was perfect (after all it was brand new). No issues whatsoever thus far……
The model 3 is about about 36k with the tax credit
About to purchase a Y, but wondering if i will fegret it with the new redesign coming
Also, never choose the metal finish dash. It will cause lots of sun reflection when driving.
Yeah I noticed that too during the test drive! Sadly there are only two choices; the white interior with the reflection, or the black interior (that part is wood instead).
The panel gap
I'm really tempted to get a Model 3 (at least the Long Range), but reliability seems to still be very questionable.
We bought our EV from a traditional manufacturer instead of a solely electric car manufacturer. I read about trim fit and things incomplete "quality issues".
Check mine good too. It was near perfect. Then it whistled going down the road. That was the passenger rear view mirror mount not spanned together. Also, when putting the rear mud flaps in I noticed the body screws were all lose. One fell out. Tesla replaced it. Love this car! Best car I have ever owned.
Went in a couple of days and took an hour to fix?
stopped in to Tesla today
MSRP: 41k marked down to $38k plus an additional 7500 tax credit at the end of the year
not bad at all and really considering getting one in a couple weeks
You should really get one,I have one and I love it,I have the Y
@@Mrwaffleandmilk It is in 2024. And he said at the end of the year. 7500 dollars is still 7500 dollars regardless of how you get it.
@@lachlanB323false 😂
It's only the inventory cars that are marked down, so there may be few around in a few weeks.
@@lachlanB323 Depends on what type of tax credit it is. Not all are refundable.
What cupholder accessory is that?? 😮
I have the Lasfit mats too
Same problem on my Y
This is basic quality control for most car companies. Not for Tesla.
Love mine too. Mechanically, mine was perfect. However, I had 2 places that needed buffing due to cloudy look on the paint or clear coat. I missed a 3rd spot. Because I didn’t bring it to their attention at Tesla within 1 day, I have to pay to have it buffed out. They still need better QA and customer service. Love the car though.
I just bought a 2023 model 3 as well and had the same problem but on the front passenger side door. Getting it fixed (hopefully) as I'm typing this!
I have problem with 2 passengers door painting its looks like dark and while difference between doors
Nice one bro. Is it a new model 3 or just the one we used to know? I mean there is a brand new model 3 which looks different now. Anyways great video.
Remarkable that a PDI didn't pick the door up?
I really want to upgrade to a Tesla but the build quality issues are rather frighting...
Lmao, amazing QC
yeah, Tesla quality is infamous yknaw,, here and there
That's something tesla needs to do prior to delivering a car.
why did you not get a long range
I agree!!!! You payed so much money for a new car I’m sure nobody would love to see that happen on their latest year model Tesla car
Didn't they inspect the car prior the delivery!
Is that Tesla Libertyville, IL?? I worked there!
It's not a problem, it's Tesla quality 😂
same f'n door with my M3 delivery on 12/16/23 but misalignment not as bas as yours.
Still doesn't look fixed
It is always a good idea to take a second person or even a third person, family member, or a friend as you can have a hard time. Try to concentrate on everything doors paint tires things like that so this is good idea to remind everyone that’s buying a Tesla to always have someone with them and try not to do it on your own or take your time going around it
Quality control is needed
It took them less than an hour to fix it, so why couldn’t they just get it right when they built the car?
They save money on quality control and have the customers and buyers do the quality control themselves ... lol My Model X has four areas of panel gaps, which they could only fix three of them. The last one was in between the back bumper and rear lights, that one that could not fix. bummer!
They are very nice cars and they cost alot but if you don't mind the body panels not being align correctly, sometimes the glass roof will blow off on highway speeds or the fun part when you go for a drive with your family on the highway and the steering wheel decide to detach completely from the car and now you cannot control the car.
But at least it shows you where you need to stop and charge it .
🤣
lmao xD
They just released the new updated one. You should get it
You know you can actually can get a discounted model ordered directly from tesla with less than 4k down payment and a total no more than 20 grand with a ref code.
This is why other countries prefer Chinese made model 3s over US made ones.
I'm at the point of ordering a new model 3 and it's this shit that really is making me think twice.
Just picked up my MY and it was nearly perfect. Don't be discouraged, because these problems can be easily fixed.
Don't let it bother you. The vast majority of them are delivered without issue. If you take delivery at the dealer, they will fix any issues on the spot, btw.
think or you buy a car or you buy farts arcade games etcetera a iPhone pad a SCAM agenda a operations 4 techno Bolshevik 15 minutes smart cities totalitarian dystopia or YOU may choose a + car BRAND LOLOL STOP believing on zombies advertising 4 tesla ELON ENDLESS LIES.
@@nexusdrexus9361 Was this written by a bot?
66k less Teslas manufactured i Q3 vs Q2 and they still have quality issues?
This is completely unacceptable from a company as big as Tesla. This is the only company I’ve ever heard of where you have to check and make sure the cars panels fit properly. If you watch how a car is built, they have a little stick they swipe thru the panels to check the width and if they don’t fit, they get fixed at the factory. No other company has issues like this.
Black interior 💀
?
You should be able to adjust the doors your self.💀💀💀💀 It isnt that hard. In most cars you just need a friend to hold up the door and loosen the bolts that hold your door in place. Straighten the door and try closing the door. If panel gap is big in the bottom. Loosen bolts and andjust the door upwards etc.
Why the hell must you check for quality, that’s Teslas job
that's normal tesla build quality.
And how much are you paying for it?
how can this have ever passed if the had QC Quality Control in final inspection. Why does not the dealer do the obvious first inspections instead of trying to play gottcha with the customers.
not good Tesla, Not Good.
Fremont as it finest!
Tesla takes this stuff seriously
Hey Tesla, it's called QC (quality control) for a reason, you reject sub-par cars, and pass the good ones.
Dude, you have a 4 year bumper-to-bumper car warranty. Any manufacturing flaws will be fixed free of charge within that period. On the contrary, the sky is not falling! LOL
Why does everyone hate on Tesla so much for one issue on a car. You can’t tell me one company that produces a perfect car every time another one rolls off the factory line. Not to mention, Teslas have awesome warranties and deal with their customer’s car issues more effectively than any other car company on the planet.
I find this very hard to believe.
Aii same thing happened to me. Have to take it in on Monday smh
Sorry to hear, they fixed mine pretty easily and no problems since! Keep me posted on how it goes at service
So nice l love Tesla ❤
The model 3 with these wheels loook 10000X better than the fugly standard ones
💯
I had the exact same thing lol.
Wow ! I looks great. It's looks just like all the Tesla that came before it. But hey, it's new.
That had nothing to do with manufacturing. That car was in an accident, bro. And you probably pay full purchase price for an accident free car because you don’t know any better. The only reason the latch and the catch would be out of alignment is because previous damage that was not repaired correctly.
You realize you should have cancelled the sale for them trying to stick you with junk.
In Zagreb Croatia ? To Split i. One day???
Had the same problem with my bmw...not😂😂
Why not reject it at delivery point vs taking the car. That’s just stupidity on the owner.
All they did was strike the door hinge with a rubber head hammer. if Tesla ever fixed doors for you, check the paint around the hinge first!
😂
What it shows is very poor quality control. Wonder about the many parts you can't see.
