    I bought one of these about 6 weeks ago but mine doesn't have the pic rail. I had a few (very few) hiccups until I had put about 300 rounds through it along with cleaning and lubricating it well after each 100 rounds. It does seem to need a "break in" period. It runs perfectly now. I've put about 600 rounds through it (300 + the first 300). Not a single issue after that first 3. I consider it a great piece for a very reasonable price. Nice video, keep 'em coming! 👌

    Thanks man. I found this vid because I am looking to get on of these very soon. Glad to see it ran so well. And like you, I shoot lefty and have learned to adapt. Never had a problem with anything I shot and it just seems normal. I'll bet winter sucks out there!!

    There was a lot of ricochets with that ammo. Crazy to hear the sounds of the bullet whizzing by into the distance.

    I’ve been eyeing this gun for a while. It’s not a colt or a Springfield so I wouldn’t get anxiety about getting a scratch while using or carrying it. That backdrop reminds me so much of living in West Texas. I love those endless skies on the plains! Which state are you in?

    What brand is the ammo, bullet size, and bullet type? Saying it's factory ammo is not saying much. Is it factory reloaded ammo. Need more information to help with review.

    • @BarnOwlProject

      230g factory federal white box. I never shoot reloads from test units. Also. There is a review on this. This was just first shots.

    Turkish guns are built for nato ammo. Always break in the gun with some hot stuff at first.

    I'm not sure if I wanna go for this 1911 or a Rock Island armory 1911. I like the rock island ones, one of my relatives has one and I've held it, it's a sweet one. But i kinda like the shorter barrel on this one. But I'd be getting it in 9mm because quite frankly, I like the ballistics side of things.

    • @GEHatred
      @GEHatred 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rock Island is amazing. I own two. Both in 10mm. The standard gi model and the tac ultra. Both take a major beating. Then I have 1 kimber and oof. Wish I bought another rock island or found this instead.

      @@ChargerusPrime ah, the worry of carrying a 1911 effectively. I can tell ya, from carrying multiple fire arms, you will always know it's there but get in a good spot, and the firearm can be hidden pretty well.

    • @BarnOwlProject
      @BarnOwlProject  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Since it was a nightstand gun most of its life it didn't set in a holster. Now I've carried it several times and I've use a fatman leather custom when not using an optic. And a safariland als with light cutout. Kinda expensive for both but it's a fun gun to carry

      Honest Outlaw’s review of this one pretty much sold me on buying one. These look to be the best budget 1911s made. He uploaded his review 2 months ago and said they were $500. Haven’t been able to find one for less than $600 or so. So I’m glad you left your comment. Thought I just wasn’t looking in the right place or? “Took” office is right.

    I bought the Girsan match elite 45 biggest pile of shit I have ever owned. I have had jamming issues. Then just yesterday I was chambering a round and it goes off it did the same thing when my employee shot it. Talk about extremely dangerous. So far no response from there pretty much non existent customer service. I do not want this gun fixed or a new one I want a full refund. Buyer beware the Girsan 1911 is total shit and dangerous in my experience. My next step will be contacting the attorney General on this matter.
