Made these today, Dec. 30, 2018. My first time to make wipes. I had wondered if you couldn't use MCT oil and I did. Used Lavender and Tea Tree cause I couldn't find all my oils. 10 drops of Tea Tree a bit too much but it's ok. Also used Baby Wash lavender scent and overall, easy and happy with the results.
This is a great idea ..... looking to do something to keep in my bathroom for adults. I like Dr. Bronners peppermint soap diluted as a wash. When it hits membrane there is a really fresh feeling. I wonder if that can be incorporated into this. Any thoughts?
I am concerned about bacterial growth. All of the recipes I've seen so far use no preservatives. But since there is water in them, bacterial growth will start a couple of days after you make them. Mold may start growing in there too, especially in warm environment. It won't be visible to the eyes for a long time though. Tea tree oil is not a preservative. Neither is shampoo. I guess if there is a quick turnover it's not a problem, but I want them to last for a couple of weeks. I know that glycerin is a preservative but you have to use like 60% of it so it's not an option. Alcohol at 10% will act as preservative but it can be irritating. I guess there is some combo of natural ones that would do the trick but I haven't seen any recipe anywhere.
I want this for my old butt. Never thought of bacteria growth. Commercial wipes are such a ripoff and I don’t like the packaging. They should be on a roll like the disinfectant wipes and pull out of round container. I’m always hinting for an edge to pull on and more than one will come out the. I have to stuff the extra back in….. 😜
I've seen this done with paper towels not toilet paper. Do you have issues with it tearing since this is thinner than paper towels? What brand of toilet paper do you use?

Anonymous65 those are actually paper towels, I just have my husband cut them in half then I remove the cardboard center.
Thanks. I just relistened to the video. You did say paper towels. Sorry.
are they flushable?
These are made with paper towels so I wouldn't recommend flushing them
