@schewe187 It's a lap timer. They are pretty awesome, they monitor RPMs, max speed, low speed, acceleration... He was just setting it to see how he was doing.

@Productions126 ''Turned it off". Handlebars would steer automatically without it while he would do backflip no hander and it would be too hard to ride with it, that's why.
@661Ruezga its to do with emissions of two strokes that is the reason they are not used that much in sport anymore, if you read the motorcycle papers and magazines a while back you would know this

1:42 I yelled "WOO" really, really loud, and the whole stadium thought he was getting up and started to applaud... he didn't get up for another seven minutes or so.

@COWM4N197 I think I read somewhere that if they have it mounted on their helmet and land on their head during a crash, it could push the camera through the helmet and do more damage to the riders head. Dunno if it's true or not though :)

@661Ruezga yea i understand what your getting at, im only 20 years old n aint been riding motocross that long bout 2 years im still trying to find out if i prefer 2 or 4 stroke, im more into 2 strokes for the fact that to me a motocross bike aint a motocross bike unless its a 2 stroke lol just what i grew up seeing really. think its really this generation of folk our age just grew up seeing 2 strokes dominating now 4 strokes are taking over

Flip levers bro, when doing flip combo's riders use them to stop themselves flipping all the way around the bike.

@661Ruezga 2 strokes are cheaper to maintain than a 4 stroke, you do have some good points there but my opinion is that 2 strokes paved the way for motocross and without them we wouldnt have such an awesome sport, its just the same old 4 stroke 2 stroke argument thats been going on since the dawn of engines lol personal preference it all boils down to lol

im pretty sure its partially due to the amount of adrenaline in their systems at the time, combined with they likely hood of them being used to the pain of a broken''whatever'' from all the years of falling off before becoming pro =)

@kylewiddy - the point is that they're not racing motocross now, but something else. problem is they're calling that "something else" motocross, which it's not. Motocross is racing outdoors in any conditions, two 30 minute motos + 2 laps. Motocross is not raced in an air-conditioned stadium for a few minutes doing flips and tricks. These are two completely different sports. Motocross is motocross. Give whatever you call this type of riding it's own name...
