I got an 04 I’m building right now, gonna get some parts that are no longer made/works parts for it, full motor rebuild, kashima coat, etc. I will never sell it especially because of how rare they are getting.

The splooge is definitely because you are not exact when measuring oil. Between 1:30 and 1:40 is a really healthy ratio that I used to aim for. Problems with running rich I've found often have to do with float level because it's really easy to ignore if the bike starts easily, but you already know how to work a carburetor. Running rich increases oil running through the engine and can also create more splooge. I know measuring the oil ratio can be really annoying but you can't have goop on your brakes man. So good to see the rm back again! 🔥💨
Yea man! I always run 3 ounces of oil per gallon. I think it ends up being slightly more lean than 1:40 and I don’t want to risk running the fuel ratio any lower than that. I’m sure I’ll figure it out some day

Bro you need to open up that fmf silencer and get new packing in there that will help with the oil leaking and noise. And ofcourse tune the carb might help
I'd probably replace the pads and rotors but also the piston seals in the brake calipers and change the brake lines to steel braided ones and ofc change the fluid (I prefer dot 5.1) That should make your brakes feel better than new :) Great to see you back on this thing btw, I forgot I was even subbed lol
Yea I want to! The shroud is super annoying but every time I put it on it falls off because the threads in the tank fell out. Definitely want to bring the thing back to life though!
Just a heads up: my 300exc 2 stroke (carb swapped from a mikuni to a keihin) didn't like to idle at all, and all it took to fix it was to adjust the carb float a little. The float originally let too much fuel in when idle which in return caused the bike to die after 10-20 seconds of idling. Don't know if you've already tried this, but if not, it could be worth a shot.
already done that multiple times, it may help for a couple days but it always gets too wet again and drips. I gotta figure out why there is so much leaking in the first place
Bro I had a '03 RM 125 and that thing ripped! It was set up for the track and I'll tell you what I would run with any 250 up until 4th gear and them their top ends will start to pull on me.. but that thing would dig out the hole shot with the best of em.. I miss that bike

Go down one size on the main jet Should stop the Ozzze it the tail pipe. Not completely but you’ll notice that’s way rich frfr And I bet you will notice the power increase good bit just by the jet especially if your able to go 2 sizes down. But one jet size down should be great

Bro it was awful! I had just rebuilt it with all new part and started it and it turned out one of the power valves broke in the process and was slightly in the cylinder. So when it started it it was making tons of tingy noises and I had to take it all apart again haha

What are you running for your oil mix? My Yz125 had that issue with oil on the swing arm running 32:1 I started mixing it around 38:1 and it stopped. Bike runs exactly the same no issues
If it woudn't idle you need to tune the air screw i always screw it in and screw it out 2 and a half times and than tune it a little more if it is too much or too little
Yea I’ve been trying to find a solution that works but then it will probably all just drop out of the end of the tail pipe and still end up on the brakes haha
Please don’t leave the kickstart down after the engine has already started. It will damage the starting mechanism and stress the engine very badly.

Use high temp silicone where the silencer slides into the header. Helps significantly with oil on the Swingarm

125’s/ two strokes are meant to be ridden wide open, screaming, that’s why there’s spooge, and also needs the right jetting.

Lmaoooo just sprayed the rag with some simple green. It’s a degreaser I think

To stop the leaking on the rear break/swing arm you gotta repack the silencer

yea there is an air leak in the crank seals I think, I can adjust the idle but it always fluctuates from high to low rpms

The RM125 has been great. Mine is bored over 1.50mm making it an RM132.
