I scripted this back in February 2022, so it's been a whole year. I'm feeling much better nowadays than I was last year at this time. I still haven't rewatched this movie b/c I'm worried the initial magic will fade. Even editing these clips had me worried the emotions would fade, but certain shots still had me feeling inherently sad so I think this movie did it's job!! Please watch it if you haven't already! It won't disappoint!

I went into this movie completely blind and then ended up crying all the way through it

a lot of people shamed this movie because they just read the description instead of witnessing it themselves, as a manga reader, their age gap really doesn't matter at all as the manga goes on and at the current vol they are like in their 30's and struggling with being adults together. It also helped a lot that it was Mio that was guiding the relationship in the beginning to be more romantic instead of Shun, as Shun was already ready to give up on ever finding someone. Even when Mio returned, he still pushed Mio away because his sexuality has brought hiim nothing but pain and he didn't want Mio to go through the same crap he had to go through.
I just have a really soft spot for this series as it came to me at a time in life where i was struggling as well and brought me comfort that even though life is hard, i'm doing my best at that moment.

Good movie, weird age gap, makes it hard to enjoy for sure

yeah, the age gap in the description i read bothered me, but once I watched the movie it wasn't very bad at all! They don't really get to know each other very well until they're both adults so it didn't bother me as I watched. Could be because my parents have a bigger age gap tho lmao 🤣

They both really get to know each other in their 20s, I wouldn't call that weird

@@squeallymaniacthats what i said, the only part i really was like 😟 was when he “supposedly” took interest in him when he was still 17, but the 3 years skip was what made me brush it off, there both adults anyways, i have seen worse
