"Fun sprinkle of action" 🥲 But omg people need to stop comparing it to spyxfamily just bc it's a little girl and her not-parents parents- The actual plot of buddy daddies is more serious (though it does have a lot of good comedy) and I honestly liked it a lot more. The characters (kyuu-chan best boi) are all really interesting and the show as a whole kept me on the edge of my seat. Highly recommend for everyone who likes that family dynamic but also appreciates their angst 👍
yeah i really loved the angst in it!!! usually when shows are only just fluff it feels a bit too sweet for my tastes. And it's more serious tone definitely had me enjoying it a bit more than spy x family as well!! but idk what happens in the spy x family manga since i'm an anime only, maybe it gets more angsty and serious later on?? i don't mind people comparing the shows because anything that works on similar tropes usually ends up being compared. (and any media really is gonna be compared to each other, can't really stop the inherent human instinct to form opinions based on comparing to what you've consumed previously) They're also both comedy and family centered shows so i see why people compare them. They are both in similar genres: comedy, slice of life, action. BUT it's not like spy x family invented the whole 'we're now suddenly parents' trope. it's existed in a lot of media so i don't think spy x family should be considered you know the first of its kind to have that trope. i do get why some people might be annoyed by the constant reference to spy x family, since buddy daddies should be treated as it's own show. I only mentioned spy x family in this video to highlight how buddy daddies brings out more realism in comparison! thanks for the comment!
Story wise, Buddy Daddies is better than Spy X Family lol.
