    Busta Rhymes is the most genius comparison I've ever heard. You won't find anything like Primus where you might expect it, but cross a boundary or two and you see Busta showcasing world beating, transcendent talent and living outside the box. That's Primus. F the norm. The talent transcends.

    @POLO REACTS when you said that Primus has their own sound, you might like to know that in a lot of music ID3 genre-tagging software, where you see Funk or Metal or Ambient, you'll also find "Primus", the only such category I found that is an actual name of a singular band.

  • @namegoeshereorhere5020
    @namegoeshereorhere5020 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I am really interested in the fact the first thing you noticed were the percussion rhythms. See that tells me you’re really listening with an open mind and trying to figure out where this crazy ride is going. So many people get caught up in the mystique of Les Claypool and they forget there is an extremely talented group of musicians around him.
    And fyi if anyone wants to know: that last scene of the monster on the nachos with the boat just before the dog walks up, is a reference to the album title which this song was on, “Sailing the seas of cheese”

    My life changed after hearing Sailing the Seas of Cheese,”. Shout out to that random guy in high school back in ‘92 that gave me a copy of the album, thanks man.

    Les Claypool tried out for Metallica before this album dropped I believe. It was rifht after their original bassist Cliff Burton died in a hirrible bus accident overseas while on tour. When Les came in to audition the entire band for Metallica knew this guy was his own creature lol. They just shook his hand and moved onto the next bassist lol.
    While you are at it, you should look up Infectious Grooves. They were an offshoot of Suicidal Tendencies and had Robert Trujilio on bass. Its a masterpiece on rock funk!!

    The entire Sailing the Seas of Cheese album is worth a reaction. I don't think there's a bad song on there.
