Quick little note: I have noticed a few things relating to mainly the chainsaw/auto axe (maybe two handed melee in general?) I will see what else lies in store with one handed or even ranged weapons (found out and tested this on Xbox version). This is only what I'VE noticed and you probably haven't, so please don't hate. 1.) When in 3rd person with chainsaw/auto axe (or two handed melee), sometimes when you make a turn with your character, your character will be in an animation and the camera will be pointed backward. 2.) "Aiming" and attacking with the auto axe/chainsaw at the same time results in an interesting bug/sound effect? Each upgrade results in a different sound. 3.) Sometimes getting a kill with these types of weapons results in your AP getting filled up, so it's a good bug ;) 4.) Noticed an issue where your chainsaw/auto axe will make the attacking sound, but won't actually do the animation, nor the damage output. 5.) Third person auto axe outside power armor is working as intended with strong DPS, however inside power armor, it's DPS is reduced by half (you'll still kill relatively fast) I hope this will get pinned as I have spent whole DAYS experimenting and trying to see new bugs (the good, bad, and ugly/beautiful). Again, I am NOT in any way trying to say or "prove" that I am better than (you) Angry Turtle at testing things, but rather letting (you) him and others know these hidden changes that didn't get shown up in the patch notes. Please spread these changes and notes and thank you Turtle for the great content as always 🐢

Number 4 happens to me a lot. Before patch and after. Very annoying. I usually notice right away, but if a lot is going on sometimes I don't. Also, stopping and starting again, sometimes it will happen again which means even MORE DPS loss.

That would totally destroy the balance of the game, if that were to happen the developers would have to increase bosses and enemies health 5 times, can you imagine every player with g rolls, but to be honest with the game dying maybe they are going to feature that in next updates, they haven't even patched camp item and power armor dupe glitch, Wich they usually did at speed of light, it's like a way of saying even them are done with this game, with starfield launch coming
When your players are only interested in two or three of your entire offered pool of primary effects - that's a glaring sign that your pool of effects has a lot of room for improvement.
I hear you, but realize the pool was "increased" which caused the players to grind more hours to get what they wanted. The intent was not to improve the pool, the intent was to dilute it.
Well, that Aristocrat's on 8:37 was decent enough especially for full hp build, but overall it's heartbreaking. It's like watching a month of farming being wasted in one crafting session without any good results.
@@DismantleHAARP fr aristocrats is probably the most underrated legendary effect. If you have the caps you can use it for literally any build and it will be effective
Bathesda should add a legendary perk locking feature, where you can lock certain stars for example you can lock the unyielding roll the other stats so on and so forth until you get the god roll obviously it would cost atoms so it’s more appealing for them to implement
More patience than me Turtle - I would have server hopped after first 20-30 rolls. I know it should not make a difference but I really think some servers seem to generate a certain pool of prefixes than others

There will always be specific effects that are better, so that has no bearing. It needs a system similar to ESO. It will take longer to acquire the gear, but eventually you will get what you want.

That’s a mistake in a game that depends on random things. I got 3 Fixer plan in a week, somebody playing months and got nothing. I joined Enclave events randomly and given the flamer plasma even though last month I’ve been grinding for this stuff and got nothing. I rolled a Two Shots faster reload and fire rate for Alien blaster on my 2nd roll, but I got 0 unyielding BOS armor after hundreds of modules spent. For me what matter most is build, even a non-legendary stuff works in this game. You just have to control your power creep from well, creeping.
Hey turtle, regarding union dues expedition, the fanatic warden quest where you have to free prisoners is indeed bugged and allowing us to open doors even without the key without any lock pick perks, you will still need to kill the warden and take the key to complete the objective but this will allow this objective to completed a lot faster, especially for solo players, thought to mention this incase you made a 2nd video about hidden changes
This happens if you've done the objective previously in the same day before reset. The wardens key stays in your inventory, this was a thing before the patch too
Hi, I went through around 550 modules a few weeks back, looking for overeaters cryo pieces. I would have been happy with 1 but I got absolutely nothing.
You guys are making me nervous…I’m sitting on 1300 modules and I’m waiting to reach 2000 before I start rolling. If I don’t get at least one good set out of that I don’t know if I’ll keep grinding the scrip out everyday

Turtle! I'd be pulling my hair out! All those rolls and nothing? Wow. I got an AA/Limb Damage/DR on a Holy on my third try. Fun weapon. Oh and you don't really NEED AA on an Elders Mark. You can mod it with an Anti Armor Receiver and gain +60% armor penetration on any roll. It's even added to the stats. Every Elders Mark I throw in my vendor gets the upgrade👍
Real talk, they need to nerf bloodied/adrenal. I get that it's a risk having to be low HP, but stacking that and adrenal mutation is just broken. 95% of suggested builds online are just "LOW HP [INSERT WEAPON TYPE]", I recently came back to 76 and just seeing almost everyone I encounter doing thousands of DPS while walking around weak enough that a strong breeze would kill them. 'cause there's practically no penalty for death.
Well, I met the Giant Werewolf in the wild today. I was so happy, thought it would be a Good Fight. He kept running away and I had to keep moving to keep him in range of my 50 cal. He never once tried to close with me and attack. Not once, his base loot was Blech, not worth the trouble, and I am not sure I got any Exp off of him either.
I bought a Tommy Gun with: "Quad", "50% V.A.T.S. Acc." and "25% less AP cost" for 1k caps from a player vendor. Haven't tried it though, seems like fun.
That’s decent. But Faster Fire Rate instead of VATS scc would be fantastic. But then again, it’s gonna drain your AP. So better stock up on that coffees

I always change servers if I get too much crap. Sometimes the rolls are better for some reason. I also use a highly buffed crafting build. Maybe it's in my head but it seems to work. 🐱
That was absolutely brutal. Not one good roll for 400 modules?! You should server hop when you get 3 or more bad rolls in a row. Sometimes, it appears the rolling system bugs out. This can be good sometimes but is bad most of the time. Case in point, the other day I rolled 2 quad explosive handmades, one with less vats and the other with crit refill 3rd stars, back to back. Every other time it was same as what you just went through.
You are right it does. I've noticed that once it gets started on bad rolls, especially if you are going very fast, it gets 'stuck' on crappy effects. I've sort of tested it out and by going slower I have gotten a bunch of quad legendaries which are my favorites.
This was to be expected, as the legendary effects pool was diluted even more with useless entries :( I'd love to see some opinions from dataminers on the actual chances for each prefix, i suspect that useful effects have an even lower chance to be rolled than the other ones.
Legendary crafting seems to have been nerfed as well. Are your rolls truly the result of RNG or has Bethesda biased the reroll system so that you need 4000 modules to roll something decent? Wish you could get insight into how many rolls you need on custom server.
I have my suspicions that Bethesda may have done something like this. I almost feel like they can turn on and off certain prefixes dropping or rolling. I have been playing this game long enough and more than enough to say that I got a feel about it. Let’s just say it doesn’t feel like a straight up RNG
Usually changes server if first 5 rolls are crap. Some servers seem to roll same first star more often and getting stuck in kind of a pattern. Maybe just me and not doing any difference but seems to work sometimes.
Crazy glitch i noticed. My best roll for a fixer after 30 some tries was an explosive that does more damage at night, however as long as i have it on me my other guns do more damage at night too. 🤷
Hey Turtle. Do you think the chainsaw is currently broken or did Bethesda Nerf it on purpose? I carry a vampire chainsaw with reduced carry weight. I never need stim packs because of it. After the latest update my chainsaw is tickling enemies and it breaks very quickly.
Locking a star would make it too easy in the end. But maybe we could be able to pay some currency or complete difficult objectives in order to remove 1-3 effects from the pool for the next roll or for 3 minutes or something.
Difficult event that drop random box mod with legendary effect that you can then install on existing legendary lets say I have zealots ffr weightless I drop aa mod box I can put it on and get aa ffr weightless

Oof, so sorry Turtle. I’ve gotten my share of terrible runs in and after about a quarter of those rolls, I would have stopped and saved them for another day. Sometimes the planets just aren’t aligned.. then there are other days that I’ve seen you on a roll. 400 is a lot to lose in 2 weapons in one session. But, pfft, you’re AT! You’ll have all those modules back in a couple days! ;) lol
I think I used up all my roll luck 🍀 on a single roll. New chainsaw character saved first roll till lvl 50. First roll Vampiric, +40 power attack, reduced ap cost. 😆
I rolled a Bloodied Holy Fire. I'm running a low health build (max. 19% health). The bloodied one displays the same damage numbers in pipboy as the original vampire version. Can anybody confirm this? Is this a bug with Holy Fire?
Some spent hundreds script for legendary, some got god-tier stuff from random Union Dues run like me - and turn it into scrip because I’m not gonna let anybody getting that quad explosive railway rifle while I’m gunslingin my way killing earle.
how would luck give better chances for better rolls? whats a good roll? just because its good to one person or one build doesnt make it good in general. i promise luck has no effect on anything. if i roll a god roll for a high health build im scripting it, if a high health build rolls a bloody weapon their most likely to reroll it or scrip it please make it make sense to me because ive heard people say luck matters since beta.
@smcfadden1992 and you maybe correct, but there is some sort of special sauce involved in the "random" roll generator. To roll a hundred times and see the lesser wanted legendaries. Just makes me believe there are some sort of deciding stats or percentages involved. Would be nice to know.
Looks a lot like my luck XD. I kinda hope they make some improvements to the legendary system in the next update. Rebalance many of the unwanted modifiers to make them competitive with Bloodied and Anti-Armor.
How do you get so many Legendary Cores? I tried finding a dedicated group for farming Cores during the Double Mutation weekend when it was an easy Molemen daily op, and just couldn't get a consistent good group for it. I was able to 1 shot groups of Molemen with my Nuka Launcher, but even then i couldn't get a crack crew for swiftly farming the Daily Op.
Legendary cores drop from doing any events. 1-8 drop depending on the event and your success tier of the event. Even an event like campfire tales drops 6, really easy events like feed the people will drop 3 (if all the machines are running).
50 for 1 module. Just play moderately, and turn your useless legendary for scrips. In two or three weeks playing you probably got more than a hundred at least.
I feel you, legendary cores are super difficult to get ahold of. Only public events and daily ops drop them, the last two weeks of double daily ops had such awful mutations it was hindrance to grind them.
I have a character with a lot of modules and no cores. How does that happen? Lol I rarely play the character and barely do events, I guess that is why. Every time I want to sit there and craft a bunch of legendaries to try and get her a good kit, I can only do 2 or 3 pieces because she runs out of cores!
If you are spending resources (expensive BTW), then by not trying to get Vampire's legendary effect, you are Wasting your legendary modules. ANY sustained fast-firing weapon is both a vampire's or explosive base.
Now i know this is a bug (and hopefully doesnt get patched) but if you use 4 modules to roll once, and then quickly reroll it again with 2 modules, it will work and count as a second reroll. So basically its 2 rerolls at the price of 6 modules instead of 8. Of course, you would have to run back and forth between the purveyor because when you use this bug, it uses up all the legendary modules you have on your 2nd reroll if youre not careful and 6 is as low as it will go for the bug to work. Sadly, it will still spend the same amount of legendary cores each reroll
My problem is i have too many modules and not enough cores lol. 1100+ modules and like 800 cores. Kinda wish they'd go back to putting cores on the scoreboard. Scrip and modules are plentiful now
I rolled the ogua gauntlet and got it bloodied. Even with more 20% damage, modded for damage , it does less dammage rgan my bfss powerfist and way less than my b gauntlet

I have a quick question. I noticed that some of my gauss weapons particularly a shotgun and a normal gauss rifle in my inventory now has a explosive effect for area damage. Is this a resent change ? Like they did with the radium rifle? Does it do it with all of them like the Mini Gun ? Have you tested it out? Lol should I start grinding legendary modules ? I am really confused because they made a big deal about taking energy explosive out of the game. Lol , still mad about that …
Ok , why does my shotgun say it has 20% explosive damage and a junkie gauss rifle says the same in the description, but not my pistol or my mini gun . This description was added after the last update.

Some bad luck for sure this time Turtle. That was painful to watch. My recommendation for any crafting is the same as opening treat/loot bags/pails. Server hop every few rolls. Seems to net me good stuff and great rewards. Also works for rolling legendaries.
Dang turtle that was some bad luck I think I spend around that Many for me to get a decent railway, I was intending to get qe25 but instead I got a Q50 crit ffr15 lol
They should at least let us lock in the first star. I don't care if it would cost more cores/modules, I would much rather have that than roll 95% garbage rolls. There are way more people that quit the game because of the RNG trying to get something than there are people quitting because they have absolutely everything. There is always something else to get in game.
Try and change servers, try private, public, roll 2-3 times and change if nothing good, i've seen some servers roll good 2nd and 3rd star effects but not good 1 star and vice versa, bloody 1st star on other servers but very bad on the rest of them like bashing dammage and aim dammage, good luck turtle, may the RNG bless you
It's not a bad luck. It's bad rng. Most wanted prefixes have the lowest chance to be rolled out. For example from my maths chance to roll unyielding on SS is around 5%. This conclusion comes from hundreds of crafted pieces. Other prefixes have much higher chance to appear on the rolled gear. It's very upsetting when you spend months saving modules and rolling, and all you get is a pile of crap that you can't even sell.
I have over 2,000 mods and counting. Spread out across 4 accounts but the majority are on my main account. Idk why I hoard but yeah. Good vid as always, Turtle.

Locking in the first star would be amazing, maybe at an additional module cost per roll. Something like that.

Maybe copy destiny and once you collect so many of a specific legendary weapon you can custom craft one

If it was me, I'd probably server hop, if the first few attempts were horrible. I feel for you, but I think we've all been there

The best roll I was able to get for Holy Fire is a Executioners / FF / Breaks 50% slower. Melts standard enemies fast

They need to make it so you don't get identical rolls with in five rolls I've had back to back beserkers and medic wasted rolls

Quad is not good on elders mark. Less action points cost is good. Vats hit chance is good as the range in vats is awful.

angry turtle old man you did not explain to your subscribers that the holy flamer is a rare drop I've done 25 of the event trying to get that weapon and not one drop
RNG can be brutal I did about the same number of events as you and dropped 2 Holy Fire, keep checking player vendors
I always change servers if I get too much crap. Sometimes the rolls are better for some reason. I also use a highly buffed crafting build. Maybe it's in my head but it seems to work. 🐱

You should server hop when you get 3 or more bad rolls in a row. Sometimes, it appears the rolling system bugs out.
This can be good sometimes but is bad most of the time. Case in point, the other day I rolled 2 quad explosive handmades, one with less vats and the other with crit refill 3rd stars, back to back.
Every other time it was same as what you just went through.
You are right it does. I've noticed that once it gets started on bad rolls, especially if you are going very fast, it gets 'stuck' on crappy effects. I've sort of tested it out and by going slower I have gotten a bunch of quad legendaries which are my favorites.
This was to be expected, as the legendary effects pool was diluted even more with useless entries :(
I'd love to see some opinions from dataminers on the actual chances for each prefix, i suspect that useful effects have an even lower chance to be rolled than the other ones.
Legendary crafting seems to have been nerfed as well. Are your rolls truly the result of RNG or has Bethesda biased the reroll system so that you need 4000 modules to roll something decent? Wish you could get insight into how many rolls you need on custom server.
I have my suspicions that Bethesda may have done something like this. I almost feel like they can turn on and off certain prefixes dropping or rolling. I have been playing this game long enough and more than enough to say that I got a feel about it. Let’s just say it doesn’t feel like a straight up RNG
AA on any submachine gun is a bit wasted modifier, armor piercing receiver gives them 60% armor penetration.
I did use like 500 modules for mostly crafting SS right leg and can't get unyielding + 20% WWR 👺

Usually changes server if first 5 rolls are crap. Some servers seem to roll same first star more often and getting stuck in kind of a pattern. Maybe just me and not doing any difference but seems to work sometimes.
If I get bad start I just switch weapon workbench 😁 Works every time. RNG is RNG
Crazy glitch i noticed. My best roll for a fixer after 30 some tries was an explosive that does more damage at night, however as long as i have it on me my other guns do more damage at night too. 🤷
Hey Turtle. Do you think the chainsaw is currently broken or did Bethesda Nerf it on purpose? I carry a vampire chainsaw with reduced carry weight. I never need stim packs because of it. After the latest update my chainsaw is tickling enemies and it breaks very quickly.

Locking a star would make it too easy in the end. But maybe we could be able to pay some currency or complete difficult objectives in order to remove 1-3 effects from the pool for the next roll or for 3 minutes or something.
Difficult event that drop random box mod with legendary effect that you can then install on existing legendary lets say I have zealots ffr weightless I drop aa mod box I can put it on and get aa ffr weightless

Thats rough man. That happened to me the first day too. I couldn't get anything good except a half decent assasins weapon speed
I've rolled 450 modules and Still no bloodied. Had to ask around to make sure it wasn't disabled for this gun.

Oof, so sorry Turtle. I’ve gotten my share of terrible runs in and after about a quarter of those rolls, I would have stopped and saved them for another day. Sometimes the planets just aren’t aligned.. then there are other days that I’ve seen you on a roll. 400 is a lot to lose in 2 weapons in one session. But, pfft, you’re AT! You’ll have all those modules back in a couple days! ;) lol

I think I used up all my roll luck 🍀 on a single roll. New chainsaw character saved first roll till lvl 50. First roll Vampiric, +40 power attack, reduced ap cost. 😆
I rolled a Bloodied Holy Fire. I'm running a low health build (max. 19% health). The bloodied one displays the same damage numbers in pipboy as the original vampire version. Can anybody confirm this? Is this a bug with Holy Fire?

Some spent hundreds script for legendary, some got god-tier stuff from random Union Dues run like me - and turn it into scrip because I’m not gonna let anybody getting that quad explosive railway rifle while I’m gunslingin my way killing earle.
I think something perfect to research is whether having luck buffs on will help increase getting better rolls
how would luck give better chances for better rolls? whats a good roll? just because its good to one person or one build doesnt make it good in general. i promise luck has no effect on anything. if i roll a god roll for a high health build im scripting it, if a high health build rolls a bloody weapon their most likely to reroll it or scrip it please make it make sense to me because ive heard people say luck matters since beta.
@smcfadden1992 and you maybe correct, but there is some sort of special sauce involved in the "random" roll generator. To roll a hundred times and see the lesser wanted legendaries. Just makes me believe there are some sort of deciding stats or percentages involved. Would be nice to know.

Looks a lot like my luck XD. I kinda hope they make some improvements to the legendary system in the next update. Rebalance many of the unwanted modifiers to make them competitive with Bloodied and Anti-Armor.

How do you get so many Legendary Cores? I tried finding a dedicated group for farming Cores during the Double Mutation weekend when it was an easy Molemen daily op, and just couldn't get a consistent good group for it.
I was able to 1 shot groups of Molemen with my Nuka Launcher, but even then i couldn't get a crack crew for swiftly farming the Daily Op.
Legendary cores drop from doing any events. 1-8 drop depending on the event and your success tier of the event. Even an event like campfire tales drops 6, really easy events like feed the people will drop 3 (if all the machines are running).

Just play moderately, and turn your useless legendary for scrips. In two or three weeks playing you probably got more than a hundred at least.
I feel you, legendary cores are super difficult to get ahold of.
Only public events and daily ops drop them, the last two weeks of double daily ops had such awful mutations it was hindrance to grind them.
I have a character with a lot of modules and no cores. How does that happen? Lol
I rarely play the character and barely do events, I guess that is why. Every time I want to sit there and craft a bunch of legendaries to try and get her a good kit, I can only do 2 or 3 pieces because she runs out of cores!
Well to get perfect roll you need chance is like 1 in 1000 , but sometimes you can get lucky :)
If you are spending resources (expensive BTW), then by not trying to get Vampire's legendary effect, you are Wasting your legendary modules. ANY sustained fast-firing weapon is both a vampire's or explosive base.
Now i know this is a bug (and hopefully doesnt get patched) but if you use 4 modules to roll once, and then quickly reroll it again with 2 modules, it will work and count as a second reroll. So basically its 2 rerolls at the price of 6 modules instead of 8. Of course, you would have to run back and forth between the purveyor because when you use this bug, it uses up all the legendary modules you have on your 2nd reroll if youre not careful and 6 is as low as it will go for the bug to work. Sadly, it will still spend the same amount of legendary cores each reroll
My problem is i have too many modules and not enough cores lol. 1100+ modules and like 800 cores. Kinda wish they'd go back to putting cores on the scoreboard. Scrip and modules are plentiful now
I rolled the ogua gauntlet and got it bloodied. Even with more 20% damage, modded for damage , it does less dammage rgan my bfss powerfist and way less than my b gauntlet

We should be able to re roll only one star of our choice at a more script cost. This way we avoid to everybody be overpowerd and have decent rolls.
Bethesda should let the community vote on the next updates or season like one or the other with a poll
"I spent over 400 modules and all I got was this lousy shirt!" But for real, sorry about the luck Turtle. That's the biggest thing to scare me off from rerolling, the potential to lose the massive amounts of stockpiled resources for little to nothing to show for it.

I have a quick question. I noticed that some of my gauss weapons particularly a shotgun and a normal gauss rifle in my inventory now has a explosive effect for area damage. Is this a resent change ? Like they did with the radium rifle? Does it do it with all of them like the Mini Gun ? Have you tested it out? Lol should I start grinding legendary modules ? I am really confused because they made a big deal about taking energy explosive out of the game. Lol , still mad about that …
all gauss weapons are natively explosive
Ok , why does my shotgun say it has 20% explosive damage and a junkie gauss rifle says the same in the description, but not my pistol or my mini gun . This description was added after the last update.

Funny how the prefixes Bethesda added are all just pollution except for overeaters. They need a mercy system.
Some bad luck for sure this time Turtle. That was painful to watch. My recommendation for any crafting is the same as opening treat/loot bags/pails. Server hop every few rolls. Seems to net me good stuff and great rewards. Also works for rolling legendaries.
Did you do this on the day the store refreshed? That's the best day I find to do these things.

REROLLING TIP: If you are no getting certain star you are looking for, hop from that server.
Its a fact that for computeres theres no such thing as real randomness but Bethesda doesnt even try to pretend there is XD

After the first 5 bad rolls you should try a different server. Apparently it works for rerolling
They should at least let us lock in the first star. I don't care if it would cost more cores/modules, I would much rather have that than roll 95% garbage rolls. There are way more people that quit the game because of the RNG trying to get something than there are people quitting because they have absolutely everything. There is always something else to get in game.

Try and change servers, try private, public, roll 2-3 times and change if nothing good, i've seen some servers roll good 2nd and 3rd star effects but not good 1 star and vice versa, bloody 1st star on other servers but very bad on the rest of them like bashing dammage and aim dammage, good luck turtle, may the RNG bless you
Might be why these weapons were found in player vending machines. Someone else tried this, and lost their life savings on it. 🤣
It's not a bad luck. It's bad rng. Most wanted prefixes have the lowest chance to be rolled out. For example from my maths chance to roll unyielding on SS is around 5%. This conclusion comes from hundreds of crafted pieces. Other prefixes have much higher chance to appear on the rolled gear. It's very upsetting when you spend months saving modules and rolling, and all you get is a pile of crap that you can't even sell.
