How would go about matching the medium close up with a wide shot using negative fill at the abandoned location?
Good question. Realistically, you'd need to use an even larger negative fill. Something like this - 64.media.tumblr.com/71dd61c47fd61c6097ec0fb92274186f/tumblr_inline_od3mrfXhXF1rbs4ue_500.jpg
Of course on a low-to-no budget, that might not be possible. If the wide shot is quite significant, it may not be too noticable and the audience might not even notice it.

whats the name of the negative fill stand/boom arm attachment you used?
