- In today's #zelda #evolution of the enemy/character/power up/item series we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of the race seen in #thelegendofzeldabreathofthewild for the nintendo switch, the koroks/kokiri. They were seen in the legend of zelda games made by nintendo. We have seen link in games like the legend of zelda ocarina of time, the legend of zelda breath of the wild, the legend of zelda majora's mask, the legend of zelda twilight princess, the legend of zelda the wind waker, the legend of zelda skyward sword, the legend of zelda a link to the past, the legend of zelda a link between worlds and even the new the legend of zelda breath of the wild for the nintendo switch. However in what ways did our hero try to stop ganondorf, vaati, demise and others together with link, midna, navi, fi and more. How did the koroks/kokiri help or work against with all of this and changed and evolved throughout time? How did they change? Well let’s find out!

You forgot about the Kikwi from Skyward Sword, as they were the first type of "koroks" in the timeline.
That's true.
Among the Kikwis, there is one "elder", as Bucha.
Who is the father of his generation(Yerval is from a previous one as he is older than Bucha but not big).
Bucha is the "Deku Tree" and the Kikwis are his "koroks" (He even have the moustache).
Kikwis are both plants and Animal, the Deku Tree might be a Kikwis who abandonned his animal part and took roots on the Ground when he become the Spirit of the Forest.
The Koroks are his children, tree people.
A fairy guardian make them having the form of children of pure heart.
Like Parellas for the Zoras.
I think that the Kikwis are a primal form of the futur Koroks/Kokiris.
@@nonoctoro4933 I think the "Great Tree" in Faron woods eventually becomes the "Great Deku Tree" in OOT and later. Bucha might have planted himself into the Great Tree in order to live longer or even help keep the Kikwis alive (or to help them evolve into koroks over time). It is hinted at in SS with the way they are set up, and it makes sence as they are both plants/leaves, and Bucha is the main "seed" that grows overtime.
At 5:58 you can see CDI link in links eye!! Can you spot it too?

Okay, what I think is that the kokiri children were actually Koroks from the beginning..
and that they changed into kokiri children when baby Link came to the forest.
And they didn't change by themselves but with the help of fairies.. maybe a great fairy gave each one of them a little fairy to keep them in that shape..
and that's why there's only Link that doesn't have a fairy..
Could be, there must be a reason for it after all

I hate that Koroks and Kokiri are supposed to be one and the same. Especially when one of the Kokiri had the important role of being a sage. If the only excuse was that they needed to be able to fly, then they could have gone the Tingle route and just attached balloons to their bodies. Whatever though 🙄
We should attach Tingle to our New Years fireworks!

Another race of people from the Zelda series that I think could be grouped in this category of forest dwelling little people, quite literally, should be the minish. The Minish are probably my favorite race from the Zelda series, I just think they are so cool.

The rumor back during the WW days was that miyamoto/Nintendo execs found rule34 of the Kokiris and were horrified, leading to the entire race being changed out for tree goblins…

In the Introduction of the Story part, and they said it again in interviews, the writters which are from Nintendo Dream Magazine (JP Nintendo Power) took liberties in the Story part.
Hyrule Encyclopedia is a non-canon interpretation of the Zelda Lore.

The goat of zelda theories. Short sweet and to the point as always. Maybe one day a theory on the Thunder Helm and was Kohga reincarnating ganon or did he have other intentions? Also, is thundra plateau the sealed grounds? Or does the buried secret of Termina lay underneath? Something else? The shrine name "buried secrets" makes me feel it refers to something other than the puzzle.

My theory about the Kokiri in the child era is: Link is sent back to re-live his past and warn Zelda about Ganondorf. The Deku tree has already been killed off. Since Link never grew up to save the decayed Deku tree, the young Deku tree was never planted. Therefore, there was no new Deku tree. Considering the Hyrule Historia book is canon, without to power of the Deku tree, the Kokiri grow up and leave the forest, where they live the rest of there life to be normal Hylians. We never know if Link finds Saria, Mido or any of the other Kokiri children after Majora's Mask. So who knows. That's what I like to believe.
