- In this video me and my friend @DepressedRussian will share our journey to Vladivostok. We came here from Khabarovsk just for several days, and really enjoyed it here. We explored the city center, went to various cafes and landmarks, and visited the Oceanarium with unique creatures that I never saw before. I hope you enjoyed this summer vlog of Vladivostok!

This video really touched me emotionally which I was not expecting at all. Speaking only for myself, I am a fan of her channel for the simple fact I want to see Natasha happy. I am interested in her education and her future. You can tell she has level of anxiety as her future is not very clear at the moment. In short, she reminds me of when I was her age, even here in America. Then, there is the ominous shadow of what is happening in the world today. So for those two reasons, I am a fan and I come here to make sure she is doing well. What touched me about this video as when I saw the b-roll footage from the Peruvian Cafe / Restaurant. There is so much culture represented throughout that business and I nearly teared up as I realized that all of those young people / and some older, come thru there out of the pursuit of life, love and happiness. This is not an anti-war rant but rather to point out how all of us all over the world want the same things in life regardless of where we are from. We don't want anything bad in our own lives or the lives of others. We just want to feel the freedom of thought and expression, freedom to travel, to grow and to expand, to be happy, the find love and happiness. Life is very special and when you consider how precious this gift is, it's very hard ( for me at least ) to feel depressed. As always, good luck Natasha!

The Oceanarium looked really cool. I think Vladivostok looks like an interesting place to visit. I'm enjoying these videos with you and Alena.
You two are great together because you both have similar vibe but there's with a slight difference which tends to enhance each others personality without overwhelming either one over the other.

I live 9500 kilometers away from Vladivostok. It's really cool to see that we all live in pretty much the same way!
"Dry Ice" is frozen, compressed carbon dioxide. (CO2). It's freezing point is 1) much lower than water (H2O) so it can make drinks colder, and 2) It melts directly from a solid to a gas--it doesn't melt from a solid to a liquid like water melts, so it doesn't make a soggy mess in a cooler. Since it goes directly from a solid to vapor, it bubbles and produces white vapor in the drinks.

Because it's so cold you shouldn't touch it.
And it's also used for theatrical effects. But more seriously it's the fizz in fizzy drinks and it's used in making fertiliser.

I don't think you would find dry ice in drinks in most countries. If you swallow it it can leave burns in your mouth because of the huge temperature difference !

In fact I spent the first bit of my life in the bay area and still have family in California.
My issue is with this bogeyman that Californians come up with about how the state got invaded by homeless from elsewhere and not accounting for the wages in California not meeting the cost of living, the fact that rent control largely doesn't exist out there and landlords charge exorbitant rents and overall issues of affordable housing.
I was born in California in the early 80s and homelessness/poverty was a big issue even back then.
I really enjoy your walks around towns and hearing your thoughts and observations about what you see. You help me get a better sense of the world we all live in and so much of the crazy stuff we all have to wonder about.
I've always been curious about Vladivostok!! As a Brit it kind of blows my mind how big Russia is ahah 😊

I've eaten there quite a lot. I'm American, but have lived In Vladivostok since 2013. When I miss Mexican food, that Peruvian place is the closest I can get. It's actually pretty good.

I loved your video! Being from Texas USA they really confused Mexicans food with Peruvian food! I was also intrigued by your street art/ street graffiti. You're right to show the international places in Vladivostok because it as you say shows all the variety there, It would never have occurred to me there would be Peruvian cuisine or even North Korean. The state sponsors restaurants to earn foreign exchange waitresses and such are paid small amounts so the state you can have a good earnings sometimes employees defect usually they have to have family ties back in Korea to be sent. they also send out . Groups of North Korean men to do logging in Russia to earn from their labors foreign exchange for the government

Beautiful vlog! Glad you and Alena enjoyed yourselves in Vladivostok, what a nice trip to celebrate your graduation. The opening verdict sums up the vibe of this video well - “it is neither sad or happy”. Indeed, hearing the calm background music with the car driving through the mist, seeing that incredibly cute Baikal seal spinning its round body, and witnessing details such as anti-war graffiti and covered “In******” letters, I was at lost what to feel. Vladivostok is a great city, and a model of what the far eastern region should be, life seems relatively calm there for the most part as if nothing is happening. It’s definitely on my bucket list after the war is over.
I'm not a big city guy, so I'd probably fit in quite nicely with Khabarovsk's quiet atmosphere.
Its a pity I never had the opportunity to travel around your country, especially the far east.

Wow, as a Peruvian I am impressed and kind of annoyed that that restaurant conflated our food with Mexican food. Peruvian food is a world on its own, and for sure better than whatever you might have tried before!

😂😂You stole my comment, except I'm Mexican, not Peruvian. Peru's cuisine is AWESOME, but that restaurant seems to have some cultural dyslexia with all the Mexican references...we're not even on the same continent!
Just remember it's a world away and a lot can get lost in translation along the way . Not to mention ingredients are probably different. People try to make living , offering things a bit different in their area . I lived in Tampa for many years where there is a large Cuban community and now I'm pretty critical of Cuban food elsewhere, but always appreciate the effort . I just try to enjoy life and see what others are trying trying to do. FWIW not all Mexican food is the same , it's all very regional .

Restaurants with such concept have to cater to the audience to stay afloat and since taco/burrito whatever are more popular internationally it may be served. Mexican is also rare in Russia. Good this place even exists and not in Moscow/Spb.
Same with most Japanese restaurants, you will find some Korean dishes, European obviously.
Man, I realized we really need South American places. Vietnamese could go big with a very limited authentic menu, maybe you can ask some pals to come around. Big cities pay well for a chef.

Screw the differences, I actually thought that European (including Russian) politicians would refrain from trying to pit normal people against each other, yet there are more and more calls to lump together people and their rulers. Which is completely inexcusable, I don't care if people have this or that political preference, they are not the ones actually making decisions. It's disgustingly pathetic to do this again after two world wars and a cold war that affected and divided us so much. I believe it is the duty of everyone to stop listening to their "leaders" and choose common sense.
@@lucianboar3489 I think I understand. There are lots of people hating Russians and stereotyping them. When I try to explain that not all Russians are evil, I get some hate too. I see a difference between Russians and ruzzians. ruzzian orcs are committing atrocities, not Natasha or Alena. Some people believe all Russians are evil. Common sense tells me that there must be good in any large group. I doesn't look like these girls accept pootin as their "leader". I hope they can stay safe without compromise. I share their values. Humanity needs more humans, less orcs.

I swear I will one day visit Vladivostok, it's one of most interesting cities so far east! Vladivostok looks like a typical Central European city (with bits of east), and Khabarovsk is no short of central European town. And I would love to see Baikal seals... You two are so lucky to live there - _maybe_ you will never get rich and popular in K-Pop, but you actually do live in a very beautiful part of Earth and I envy you!

I loved this VLOG! It's great when you show the variety of cultural things in Vladivostok. Truly an international city. I notice a lot of signs include English as well as the Russian, and although I cannot tell there would seem some other languages are represented as well. And your visit to the aquarium that you call an oceanarium seemed to be so relaxing for both of you. We have some in the US and they are a great adventure to see the sea life. I notice your friend Alena seems to have a much more subdued Russian accent when speaking than you Natasha. I am happy you can find things to enjoy while you are still in Russia.

I came to your channel from reference via sailor nom channel, thanks for showing me something of the east and Vladivostok. I have done a lot of travelling in my career and life, but never Russia, so it is interesting for me. I am from England. Given your references, I was reminded of my trips to Hong Kong, Warsaw, Acapulco. Those traffic lights are quite unique, love them. Lets hope we return to normal times as soon as possible and away from the madness in the world today. Thank You for making this. xx
