      If the kid in the second story can work reasons to think he is 14 or about that age if he can get proof of this and show it to other family members he could try to get emancipated and live with a trusted family member or someone like a teacher outside of the family. first story, I'm pretty sure the OP said that this step-mom didn't want him interacting with his dead mother's side of the family and tried to force him into doing things with her that he did with his mother and it ended up poorly each time. You can't fault the OP on this one saying that he never gave her a chance if she's immediately trying to remove all memory of his original mother against his wishes.

    Story 2: I would rather be an in orphanage than deal with that little hellspawn. This story absolutely made my blood BOIL. I would record the next abusive interaction without the little twerp knowing, and then I would go and show it to parents, and, if it was bad enough, the police.

  • @QuickManEXE
    @QuickManEXE ปีที่แล้ว +32

    Story 1: There is a lot that isn't being said here regarding their pasts, but if they aren't close either way, i really can't see why Sarah expects to walk him down the aisle. It would be one thing to ask,but to expect is unreasonable.
    Story 2: Honestly, i hope the OP just snaps one day and beats the living tar out of that little brother. If i were the OP, id be doing everything in my power to get out of that house, and even disown my family. They are some of the worst parents i've heard on here when it comes to favoring one child over the other. Not quite as bad as the little girl who got to blow out the older brothers candles, but its up there.
    Story 3: Good on the OP for staying cool here, both on the phone and in person. Overall, i feel bad for the dog here. The dog is probably aggressive because it has to be around such a miserable bag like that all the time.

    The 2nd story is so disgusting. Seeing as their parent wont do anything about it, he should put his little brother in his place soonest. As the eldest sister of two, I made sure my younger siblings learned at an early age to respect me and not mess with me. They know I love them dearly but that I also won't hesitate to whoop their butts when they cross the line. Til this day, my siblings listens to me more than our parents actually. 😇

      Unfortunately, it sounds like the parents are going to take the side of the brat over the brother any day of the week. I’m not trying to say it as a jerk thing, but the way that they’re sounding if Opie fights back in anyway even if he got up in their faces, those parents obviously you’re showing the favoritism towards that brother.

    He'd torment me until I was curled up in a ball begging him to just leave me alone and my mom would call me dramatic and even take him out to do something fun to quote "Cheer him up"
    It sucks

  • @chiagochilagorom2206
    @chiagochilagorom2206 ปีที่แล้ว +16

    Story one- I don't blame op for excluding the Stepmom, first of all it sounds like Opie had a great relationship with his mother and the fact that the step mom was trying to erase it to a certain degree can actually make it seem pushy. First of all you do not go into a family and expect that they will love you ahead of time that family was already touched and it's not going to be easy so you shouldn't be entitled to the love of the kids who were already hurting back then. Anyway I don't blame op for not wanting his stepmom to walk him down the aisle and yeah it does sound painful but I feel like whenever a person marries into an already family they should be either a responsible Guardian whether to that boy or girl and not to say that I will be your father or mother because that's just presumptuous and in most cases entitled and rude.

    To be completely honest, I don’t blame the step mother in story 1. I’ve witnessed similar situations and while no, you can’t replace loved ones, it is very obvious that the OP never even gave her a chance. Not to replace his mother, but to be close at all. The ultimatum may not be the best way to go about it but if I was in that situation, I wouldn’t want to attend someone’s wedding that barely even saw me as family despite my best efforts.

      Maybe if she hadn't forced it for all these years he would have felt differently. You can't force them to make you their mom. Now she's seeing the consequences of HER actions.

    Story 2: Sadly little brothers like that either respond to two things, a nice older sibling beat down or a nice lovely thing I call payback. All and all, maybe you should live with your aunts for a while since your family is so toxic.

    If I were OP in the first story, then I would’ve said that if you were really my mom, then you wouldn’t put this kind of a condition of not coming if you can’t walk me down the Aisle 🤷‍♀️ like I have never heard mothers walking their son’s down the aisle🤷‍♀️

    That poor big brother. He needs to talk to someone. Maybe a school counselor or just an adult that you like and is kind to you. But, they are right use your phone. But try not to let the little bro know,
    if you can.

    Story 1: no the op is in the right period. You don't just come into someone's life and try to replace anyone.
    You start something new. Work your way into the child's heart. I'm becoming a step mom. I let thr kids know i love them but I'll never replace their mom. Moms are important ladies in a child's life. It's disrespectful to try and force it. Because thr child will resist. She's in the wrong all around
