This saved me alot of time! Thank you for posting this video. I played around a bit to try and figure it out but could only get the switches on atti and gps not all three. I thought youtube... and sure enough you had the step by step instructions, very clear and easy to understand for a noob like myself. Thanks again!
For me, do not work exact like this, but fallowing this video and other one thatr show setup in Heli (that work from the start) , I manage to setup my DX6i DSM2 with all this function, only with other setup. Good video. Starting from this infos, I learn haw to do it. Tank You.
First off, Thank you! But I have a quick question. I noticed on the flap/gyro switch you had labeled: camera tilt. Are you able to use naza to stabilize your gimbal AND use the gyro/flap switch to rotate to straight down shot while in air? Instead of having to land to change the camera angle? THANKS!!!
Hi Brook, super cool videos. I have got one question: In this video i can see a tilt function on you dx6i. How did you get this function while beeing able to use all these one of the naza. Thanks
Nice video, you mentioned that if you are in GPS Mode then you have a Fail-safe on the MIX switch.....I understand that, but will you also have Fail-Safe if you are in ALTITUDE mode, or does it only work in GPS mode ?
Greetings from Germany. Great Video. What kind of Receiver do you have? I have an AR 6210. Will it work with the Parameters, that you´ve shown in the Video?
If I am flying in ATTI or manual mode and my radio signal lost, can RTH kick in anyway? Or will RTH work only if I am flying in GPS mode before radio signal lost?
Thanks. I am getting ready to try this. Can you go through the procedure of initiating RTH fuction when flying and then aborting it right before landing and then flying off again? Now i can fly only in GPS mode then go to failsafe and it will RTH and do great. But i need to be able to abort landing for safety reasons. Right now i have no control, and can`t get it back in GPS once i toggle to failsafe mode. It`s gonna land no matter what. Reset battery.Using the DX-6i as you. Thanks for your help.
I see you have a Tag in Flap to tilt the camera... How do you programed that? Are you using 5 channels to Naza and 1 to Tilt? Can you help me on that? Thanks!
plus 1 to this. there r a few vids that explain it but they are leaving sumin out because with those directions I only get a change in speed at which the camera tilts, it doesn't adjust the limits.
Hey Brook, Great video. You explain things very clearly. It really helped me out. Can you explain how to set up IOC on the DX6i with Naza V2 assistant. I am stumped.
As previously stated this is not a true failsafe situation on radio signal loss, Also how do you calibrate the gps when you need to toggle between Manual , Atti and Gps to do this ? Nice video and will work fine , but for true failsafe features as intended for the naza you will need a receiver like a AR7000 or AR8000
Can anybody help with my dxi6 trany problem no throttle/rudder response after power on trany all other controls work fine.replaced main board on my Blade 120 SR HELI,but no joy Thanks
Very helpful video! Thank's a lot for sharing that :)! In fact, I have just build my own quadcopter and I still have to buy the transmiter. And DX6i seems to be perfect to me but I see that on DX8 there is a "wheel" (sorry for my english) on the top to control the tilt of the camera. So, since I will mount my fpv system later, I don't know if it is possible to correctly control the tilt on dx6i? And I see you have a "tilt camera" paper ^^ Could you tell me a little bit more on it :)? Can you control the tilt while hovering, then return in flight mode and continue the flight? (Is the camera keeping the new direction you've chosen?). If so, I will definitely buy the DX6i ^^!
I have the exact same question and problem, i used this video to setup my DX6i with the AR7010 reciever and it works perfectly including the RTH, (and tested). Thanks for the vieo btw, very helpfull. Now all i need to find out is how to tilt my zenmuse with the DX6i. HELP! :-)
Style Review Nope,,with the DX6i you are 1 channel short. I bought the FrSky Taranis radio with X8R reciever, that gave me 16 channels and all the knobs, switches and features you can ask for.
You saved my sanity with this video, thank you vm. Please could you do a similar one explain how we can activate the Intelligent Orientation Control features of the Naza M V2 on the DX6i?
If the DX61 loses power / signal this is how to fail safe it... 1. with Tx on set the switches as though to induce failsafe and have the throttle at 40%. 2. switch off Tx. 3. Put the bind plug in the Rx and power up. 4. remove the bind plug. 5. turn Tx on holding the bind switch.... I've just check this with the Naza set up assistant and when I power off the Tx it goes in to failsafe.
Ok I like this video am going to do the same I wanted to know if I turn off my radio will it come back home an land? Or let say if I go out of range will it come home an land? Also if am in GPS postion hold can I take it stright up to 600ft an will it keep it in the same postion all the way up an down?
So I can do this with my dx6i & ar6200 will that work am going to do everything in this video hope it works!! How how can I add if I go out of range so it can come home an land?
I have figured out a mix setup that will allow GPS calibration... AND... a Forced Fail-Safe as I show in this video. I will be posting an instructional video soon! Stay Tuned!
Can Naza work even whit DX6i DSM2 ? I was on local store to buy Naza, and they tell me it not work. I need confirmation for take a decision. Tank ùyou.
when I start out mine is nowhere near atti. mode it all the way to the left by gps.. what are all the very basics here we dont have a good ground zero start everyone shows on a set up radio. How about a radio out of the box?
Hi Sam, I'm not positive as I don't have a DX7 to compare.... But I would think the menu system would be similar. One benefit of the DX7 is that it has a 3 position switch that you could assign as the flight mode switch.
Hi Brook Thanks for the email, when it comes to programming the radio I'm lost, I like the DX7 but find it very difficult to understand. Wish I could find someone to walk me through the steps. Sam
@Rick Flyer thanks for watching... I'm working on a new video with a better setup on the DX6i, that gives Manual, Attitude, GPS and Failsafe modes... Stay tuned.
Nope the Fail-Safe is a mix with the GPS mode. You must first switch to GPS mode with the GEAR switch and then toggle MIX 1 to enable Fail-Safe. Mind that this is a Manually engaged Fail-Safe.... you must have radio contact to enable this third flight mode. This is NOT a "true" Fail-Safe that automatically engages if you lose radio contact. To have "true" Fail-Safe you must step up to a higher end Spektrum receiver as the DX6i and it's corresponding receivers do not support that.
This saved me alot of time! Thank you for posting this video. I played around a bit to try and figure it out but could only get the switches on atti and gps not all three. Great info man! Very well communicated and no doubt many frustrated Naza users (newbies) will benefit from this... I sure did!
Thanks a lot for your perfect explanation. I almost went crazy trying to figure this out for myself.
Hi, just used this to setup my naza and it worked a treat. Thanks
Great vid,I would like to use manuel mode aswell, how would I set it up to use all 3 modes, thanks
For me, do not work exact like this, but fallowing this video and other one thatr show setup in Heli (that work from the start) , I manage to setup my DX6i DSM2 with all this function, only with other setup.

thanks !
for dx-8 users : the U (on dx6i) is the offset (on dx8) and the sw (on dx6i) is the inter (on the dx8) =)
Thanks for the video Brook... is it possible to activate RTH through my failsafe on my dx61 in the event of TX signal loss ?
Nice video, you mentioned that if you are in GPS Mode then you have a Fail-safe on the MIX switch.....I understand that, but will you also have Fail-Safe if you are in ALTITUDE mode, or does it only work in GPS mode ?

Is it possible to setup a mix including manual mode?
Really good first learner video. Thank you!
Hi, your video really helped me out on (old) dx6i + R710 and naza.
Thank you.
No more videos about r/c... doing a break ?
Thanks for this information. but I can not get the gps software for calibiretion !!!
I see you have a Tag in Flap to tilt the camera... How do you programed that? Are you using 5 channels to Naza and 1 to Tilt? Can you help me on that? Thanks!

I have to reset battery on quad to get it back to GPS mode to fly again. thanks
Brook, please can you show us how to setup manual mode as well?
Hey Brook, Great video. You explain things very clearly. It really helped me out.
Can you explain how to set up IOC on the DX6i with Naza V2 assistant.
I am stumped.
how did you calibrate the gps? if their is NO Manual mode? thanks
I follow your tutorial but i have problems on calibrating the gps. ;(
Thanks a lot! Very clear, very usefull !
It saved me hours of hair pulling-off

where is this video? I cannot get manual mode set up with this:(

Thanks a lot for this video! I finally managed to get some kind of understanding this thing! :)
can i use the AR6210 receiver for it?
