I loved this! Im so glad people are talking about perimeno. No sleep, it was horrific, for years. Menopause was easier to get through than perimenopause.
YES!!!! I had such a horrible perimenopause I was terrified of what 'full menopause' (?) was going to be like...thankfully, it was a breeze, after the horrific 'peri' part!!!!
Agreed! About time the taboo is lifted. "Doctors gaslighting you into believing it's all in your head." Yep, story of my life. I'm 9 years into perimenopause and after a brutal last few years, I've come to the conclusion that I can survive anything after this.
I wasn’t sure how perimenopause would cross over and translate to Hallmark but you guys nailed it! It was like Marvel’s Wanda showed up at the end and saved the day!
"Have you tried eating my farts?" I soooo did not expect that and laughed myself into an asthma attack. 🤣 My 44y/o peri self thanks you for making me feel sane. Also, Hallmark make this a movie, potato flake snow and all, please!
I cannot quite express the level of joy that I have from watching these! 24 karat progesterone? I almost spat out my coffee. I love these types of movies, though. We actually just recently watched an old one about a pumpkin pie baking contest, and when they found out that someone stole a recipe, rather than the person who stole the recipe making a substandard pie, they were going to see if she really did steal the recipe by getting a handwriting sample from each of the contestants. It was so stupid. I loved it so much. Your Hallmark parodies are a part of our tradition, now.
That filter thing is no joke! Officially diagnosed with menopause at 47 this past Monday and by today, Thursday, I have told my ex off thousands of times already. 😇 Loved this skit! :)
I'm the same age, not at menopause yet, but perimenopause is my excuse for being grumpy (not really, I'm delightful - my husband tells me so). Seriously, though, why were we never taught any of this when we learned about all the other stuff?!
That’s right, all Hallmark movies are filmed when it’s warm in the summertime. Actors only wear one unzipped jacket or sweater, never a hat or gloves, and you never see their breath.
Well kids; YOU JUST GAVE ME THE BEST EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER!! Nothing you do will EVER be too dumb or too over the top. Your gifts of laughter are PRICELESS. Love how you channeled Moira's voice from Schitt's Creek! God bless you; Merry Christmas.
Oh my goodness....the belly laughing I am doing right now at all those bleeps....more more more please!! My life needs more people swearing so much it has all the bleeps!!! So satisfying!!!!😂😂😂😂😂
It's so real, though! I generally watch my mouth pretty well, but in the last year (I'm about to turn 53) it's been getting harder and harder to not cuss annoying people out every day! 🤷♀😅
@@missnaomi613 I'm 47. This last year I started swearing more. I think it was always there it's just that I don't care to be that sweet little thing any more. So I will cuss like a sailor. But I do try to tone it down around my husband because he doesn't like it. My son (who is 24, so not a child) thinks it's hilarious.
Lol! This really spotlights perimenopause and doctors reaction when women complain!! Thank you for addressing this with humor. I love hallmark Christmas movies! The plot is so predictable that you know where they are in the movie by looking at the clock. Right now I need that feeling of security.
I'm getting closer to perimenopause, not sure when it'll hit. But now I'm glad to know that I too can help save the Christmas Glitter Something-Er-Other Christmas Festival! Can't wait to melt all the snow in the Midwest. But seriously, even though this was a fun and silly skit, I think it's great to bring up perimenopause. It's hardly talked about and a lot of women are smacked in the face with it.
@@awkwardemily15 acupuncture is a holistic medicine which can help bring your body back to balance. It will take more than one visit. Chiropractors can do acupuncture, but this is a case where you want a practitioner within-depth knowledge of the medic8ne. Good luck!
I had horrendous perimenopausal symptoms. I was in a very bad place mentally and physically. Cutting out grains and legumes, and greatly increasing my intake of meat and animal fats was the key to getting back to normal. I still have a little sugar, some starchy root vegetables or fruit, but there's something about grains and legumes that just doesn't agree with my hormones.
@jg5755 Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you found something that has helped! My mom had a difficult menopause. It affected her mental health a lot. I already struggle with mental health, I don't need I to get worse! Of course it's not guaranteed I'll have the same experience.
The best part of a Hallmark seasonal movie is its predictability. The props budget (or lack thereof) can make the movie extra special. It's more fun to watch with a glass of wine and insert your own inappropriate dialogue.
Amazon prime has “Funny Thing about Love,” a full length thanksgiving hallmark parody possibly produced by the guy from Napoleon dynamiteeee, he is in it was a great cast. You have to watch it with at least one child and one guy or you won’t laugh. I definitely laughed more at my eight-year-olds giggling and my husbands repeating of lines after the fact. It’s one of those. It gets 10 star and 1 star ratings only. 😝
I love all of your videos, but OMG this one really hit the spot since my wife recently went through "the change." You really nailed this one. Thanks for sharing! :)

My perimenopause hot flashes are very strong these days, so perhaps I shall visit a small town during a blizzard this winter and see if I can make a Christmas miracle happen! 🤣🤣 I loved this skit so much! Thank you, Holderness Family. 💜
I’m having a bad day and desperately needed something this silly and this oddly true. Also, I’m half way through reading ADHD is Awesome. I’m a preschool teacher and the information in the book has helped me understand the awesome ADHDers in my class. Thanks for this video and the book!
Omg I’ve never loved you guys more 😍. Honestly, kinda thought we’re super hokey when I first stumbled upon you back in the day but you get much better with age 😘

This helped me relax a bit! Thanks! And poor hubby-who-will-have-to-deal-with-this-anxiety-while-driving is grateful for the laughs as well ;)

Hi! I was so excited to hit my one-year mark this September, no more peri-menopause for me! Now I'm a fully grown-up all-the-way menopausal adult! and it still sucks. all my comisserations are with all of us in this age group.
Hilarious! Loved all the "snow"! Have you seen the real video clip of a woman with a shaved head having a hot flash sitting outdoors in the bleachers in the cold? You can SEE the steam/heat radiating off of her head!

“I do not need your love I just need hormone replacement therapy” 😂 exactly!
All will be well with HRT!
A hot flash melting the over abundance of snow was a better rectifying plot point than any others I have seen in a hallmark Christmas movie.
Do yall women still not know about soy and hot flashes? Us vegans don't get those. It really does work.
@@NiaLaLa_V I never had hot flashes. I’m not vegetarian but I don’t eat a lot of meat, probably less than one time a week.

"snow"
Plus the very obvious sun shining in the background!
This was NOT the dumbest thing you’ve ever shot. This episode deserves an Emmy. 😂
Agree, it was brilliant!! Gave Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer vibes when his red nose saved the day 👃🦌🎁 🤶
