    07:29 Trip Reflection
This was not the first time I visited Oman. I was here in 2017, 2019 and again now. I love Oman, the mountains, oceans, culture, food, and hospitality make it one of the most beautiful, enchanting, magical, authentic and welcoming countries in the entire region.
This time I was in Dubai for work and decided at the last minute to go to Oman with my close friend, Rasheed. Our first stop was the Alila Hotel and on the way there we passed villages, nomadic herdsman and all types of scenery that makes the Omani mountains famous.
The Alila Hotel in Jabal Akhdar, is known to be one of the most luxurious boutique hotels and resorts in the country. The hotel is over 6500 feet above sea level nestled deep in the Jabal Akhdar mountains. And let me tell you, this hotel itself should be enough reason why you should visit Oman.
But my trip was just beginning, our schedule couldn't be better. Our climb was technically difficulty but since we did it slowly and our guide was awesome, it was not that bad. But I definitely got shaky when I tried to stretch my arms out at the top of the mountain with no support.
One of the most amazing parts of Oman is the mountains and the local inhabitants that call this land home. So we stopped by one of the older villages to get some refreshments and see their way of life.
Our next stop was definitely amazing. The plan was to see turtles, stingrays, and maybe even sharks at these natural preserves off the coast, about 40 minutes from Muscat. We cruised around for a few hours then headed back to Muscat where we decided last minute to go see the immaculate opera house.
We ended the trip with my dear Omani friend, Luma, who took us to my favorite seafood spot in town where the fish is to die for and then had ice cream from a local guy who had created this super popular spot from scratch.
I hope I have given you enough reasons why you should visit Oman, but you can be sure that Oman has much more to offer. If you have already visited Oman, tell me in the comments what your experience was like.
