It will be a while before the US accepts this kind of technology. It's because the baby boomers rejected technology. I work with baby boomers and one of the baby boomers favorite saying is, "I don't do computers." Many of our politicians are baby boomers. Embracing technology is not a conservative value.

Well many of these ideas have been invented before.
For example, one of the first automobiles was electric as far back as 1828, and now the world circles back to the idea, although more successful than before.
The idea of flying cars and watercraft cars have also existed before as well and have actually existed in numerous forms functionally, but generally they were multiple times as expensive as buying a car, plane and boat separately and not good enough at being a car, plane or boat to be desirable outside of the gimmick or fascination of its existence. They were heavily flawed in their concepts.
Many of these other inventions I have seen before, or they are luxury inventions that lack practicality in mass appeal due to the cost burden.
These are still cool to see, but I doubt any of the more exciting ideas have a realistic chance of breaking through their market. They are doomed to be vaporware, as again some of these concepts are heavily flawed.
I'm not just spelling doom, some of these ideas are fairly realistic, impressive and viable. But of the inventions that have failed in many iterations before, it is unlikely.

@@chriscain7333 There must be a miscommunication, I am describing ideas that became inventions, failed inventions. The ideas were realized. They were either not economically viable or flawed in concept, the main limiting factor usually being the general concept that limits their potential.
They became reality to the extent that they worked, but they did not work well, nor had the potential to work well.

Patents halt innovation by not allowing other people to perfect the technology they developed and are too lazy to improve upon. Just my opinion, but 'God bless' is the issue for the worlds science developments.. Gods are our iron-age pre-science era ancestors attempts at explaining life and the environmentas we are forced to build houses and murder other living things to eat their energy because we arn't adapted to earth naturally. If the weather is too cold we die or if too hot we die. Homelessness is caused because we need to build protection against the earths conditions. Tigers, monkeys, lions, insects are more adapted to earth than humans. A loving creator is therefore ruled out by China, they dont faff about with prayers to deities like jesus allah thor etc. Science of today only exists because prayers to all gods yielded no observable favour. I think of my ancestors with broken legs suffering exscruiating pain praying with no relief. Just my own opinion. happy new year!

Entire western world has failed. The problem i see is that education, particularly higher education, became capitalist industry that only interest they have is to make money out of future students (average cost 100k dollars), where for same kind of knowledge in third world country you can get for far far less. And even after graduating, the US government made a higher education a joke, with what you could do with highschool diploma, now you can do with master degree. Even if you get PhD degree it is still maybe. That's how dumb both US and EU have become. We are returning back to Roman empire era, where if you are good with emperor, you will have everything, but if you aren't or anger the emperor, you are in world of pain.
And for what? For the enternal status quo, where "Abendländern" can live in "democratic" peace, while all other tiny countries in world gets trampled over by banana dictators and mad emperors. All soyboys leftist can blame Trump as much as they want, but where they were to prevent all of that degradation? It was nice for them while it lasted, while on the other hand for all the rest of us "scqrew them".

Really? If hard work alone made people wealthy, laborers of the world would be trillionaires. No sir. Hard work alone does not guarantee prosperity. Of the 8 billion humans on earth, 65 % are between the ages of 15 and 64. 57% of these have gainful employment. Of these a mere 1.5% are wealthy or millionaires. So by your standard 56 percent of the world population that has gainful employment is ditching hard work with only 1.5 percent working hard enough to become wealthy. You cannot insult workers of the world more than this. Hard work never made a person wealthy. Hard work is an agency of volition. What makes a person prosperous is not. It is the OPPORTUNITIES that a person gets in life that makes them money. And opportunities are an interplay of the intelligence you are born with, the education that was afforded to you by your custodians, the social contracts made for you by your lineage, and your access to the corridors of power, none of which you can "work hard" to achieve.

I think China’s citizens have benefited from the discipline and orderliness that living under strict communist rule for decades has achieved. Now that the CCP has lessened its grip on the economy or at least allowed for some competition and much innovation, its strict disciplinary policies and sometime draconian approach to law and order has ensured that a country of nearly 1.5 billion people can be safer than most countries in the world. Just look at the chaos of capitalist India, the high crime rates in the USA and Brazil, capitalism is the Side A of an evil ideological record foisted on the world - a highly exploitative, deceptive and greed-themed political song that leaves you dreaming of freedom and wealth while you slave away for the benefit of the 1% who truly know the freedom and enjoy the wealth that you and everyone else can only dream of.

On the other hand, China, like Japan and South Korea, is a monoethnic country that believes in Confucian culture. Although China has 56 ethnic groups, the Han ethnic group, as the main ethnic group, accounts for 91% of the total population, and other ethnic groups are also East Asians, or mixed races of whites and East Asians such as Uyghurs, Kazakhs, and Russians. All these ethnic groups are indigenous to China. China has almost no immigrants and almost no racial conflicts. Moreover, China only accepts the naturalization of outstanding athletes and Nobel Prize winners, or the immigration of foreigners who have huge investments in China.

Be very careful before cheering on state worship and rule of artificial intelligence. The shackles look nice and shiny today, not so much tomorrow, count on it. Pride goes before a fall.
