People in the State of Texas are suing Logan Paul. His lawyers filed a motion to dismiss it was denied and now the case is moving to discovery. That is of course a tiny bit of what all happened but that’s where the case is at right now. That’s the information I have seen based on court filings. Keep in mind this is a civil case and not a criminal case
Good job! I hope they all get their money back and that theses actions prompt others to get additional civil suits ,in all states, against Logan Paul.

Which is not true he actually hired like three people in Austin Texas for crypto zoo. So of course the judge denied his motion and now the case is moving to discovery. It’s estimated 2 out of every 100 people is without the ability to have empathy (1.3% men and .3 - .7% women) . Usually associated with psychopathy as well, and NPD / BPD (narcissism and borderline). These would be killers/con artists/mentally ill etc. Now people who “lack” empathy suggests these people don’t have enough but still have the ability to have some form of empathy.
Now 10% could be an estimate but the spectrum of capacity for empathy and what the bare minimum should be before you are seen lacking becomes too subjective and diluted to really give a concrete estimate, again only in terms of people who are “lacking empathy”.
And it keeps climbing along side social media, more than 10% of people in their 20s are believed to suffer from some level of narcisim

I think honestly the moment he did that WWE stuff and people were like “wow he’s a shit person but you gotta admit he’s good at this!” Was what made him realise he could get away with not paying people back. I wish those who got scammed would organise and start some sort of legal action in a very public way, because if it’s not public he won’t feel like it’s actually something real.

I assume Coffeezilla also had no expectation of Logan Paul actually paying anyone back, but had to give him the benefit of the doubt publicly. I would be shocked if anyone genuinely expected it to happen. But then again, I was pretty shocked that there were people that both had a decent chunk of money and thought putting it into something offered by Paul was anything other than a scam. There were a surprising amount of his fans that were actual adults with the means to 'invest', as well. So there's probably some people who thought Logan wasn't a slimy scumbag, & that he was really going to pay people back. Everyone involved here should be studied by psychologists, as this is fascinating. I suppose it's not really all that different than the romance scams that inexplicably continue to be successful.

Paying any refund would be deemed as admission of some sort or fault - his lawyers will be figuring out how to much sure there’s no personal liability. Probably some breach of corporate veil stuff in there.
Not true. Companies pay people with disputes all the time without admitting any fault, usually with an NDA as part of the process
@@S1ipperyJim yes and no - gets complicated as all things do. Payments for disputes (poor service etc) are different than remediation for misconduct (breaking laws/scams).
Remediation for misconduct has to make the customer whole. So probably a lot more than $1.8m. Any payments need to be made from corporate money too. If LP just gave out his own money to people he could then be personally liable, instead of the business.
In the end, lawyers going to lawyer and nothing will happen.
@@poz6294 Since he hasn't been charged with anything or ordered to do anything by a legislative body this would not fall under the remediation you are referring to. Any refunds could be done under the umbrella of a 'good will' or ex gratia with an associated NDA and agreement not to pursue further action.
They're just trying to start the clock on the statute of limitations. When you publicly admit a harm, it starts the clock. If victims wait and don't file timely they can have their lawsuits thrown out.
What you need is not a criminal influener, but a 'criminal influencer'.
