- Welcome to my compilation video of Victor Osimhens performance in the 2015 u17 World Cup compared against Kelechi Iheanachos performance in the 2013 U17 World Cup. Nigeria won the competition on both occasions. Victor Osimhen got the golden boot for an unbelievable 10 goals and 2 assists in the competition while Kelechi Iheanacho scored 6 goals and assisted a staggering 7 and was awarded the golden ball for the best player in the tournament. The future definitely looks bright for Nigeria but who do you think is better? Leave you comments below and tell me what you think.

Kelechi is a Striker & a playmaker/teamPlayer
During his U17 days, Kelechi was not a striker. He played as the creative/attacking midfielder in that team. He scored a lot of goals from that position, probably the reason he was converted to a striker at Man City academy!
Osihmen is a team player as well
Since he joined napoli his playmaking skills are getting better and he is still young

I think victor is a lethal weapon, but you know most times,luck plays it role in our lives. Keel hi is very good too, and he must thank Pelegrini a billion times for putting faith in him,with somebody like Bony on the bench,with Sterling benched too some times. Pelegrini put faith in a little boy who has so much respect for him. Same way he brought out all them players in Villarreal and Madrid,he is a genius with young players. Kelecho had so much goal sense.nice passes and good foot work. Yet chance and luck brings all of them out, cuz there are millions of talented kids out there with no chance to prove it at all. Thanks to Pelegrini !.
I think the dude is fantastic. He has a better control of the ball anywhere on the pitch. That's why he's in Man City now.

Some coaches are good at academy level
Kelechi is football made easy and a world class talent. Managers struggle a lot of times on when and how to use him but this video shows just what he is. He's a supporting or you can say second striker. To help the lethal Strikers like Osimehn finish and work well we need the Kelechi's. And they chip in with goals as well and form strike partnerships. Unfortunately they are not appreciated much in today's game.
Kelechi found his best form during the lockdown season, when he was a Strike partner to Vardy but this came about coz of the injuries to key players. Despite his and Leicester's success during that time Rodgers ultimately went back to his preferred system the next season with the injured players returning. I pray he finds a place he truly fits in and excel like he's meant to
Kelechi is more calm, fast thinking and creative but Oshimen is good too.

I never thought that Osimhen would grow to become much more effective than Iheanacho because Kelechi showed versatility at youth level, but Victor has a defined role that he’s good at.

I think kelechi's versatility is his biggest problem, coaches are so confused on what to do with him. In the 90s he would have been a hot cake, but mordern football do not allow a place for the SS position anymore..I hope he finds a coach that understands his strenght, his a world class material..

They are both great players and I don't think I can compare them because they are both different in style and approach. Oshimen is a finisher and is interested in nothing more. Kelechi is a good finisher who has interest in passing the ball and creating chances for others.

i believe this is more than enough to be the best striker in the world and Osimhen possesses all.
Oshimen is good in everything bro both his speed attacking and the finishing as a striker he is his main target should be scoring and that's what his doing
Kelechi was sooo good.
Iheanacho was an attacking midfielder with a penchant for goals. I don't know why he is being made to play as a striker.
Finally we are seeing our youngsters progress through the ranks from Nigeria youth teams
They are two great finisher, but I prefer Kelechi because he scores from outside the box including freekick. He creates, he chances has good positioning, dribble, make a good pass and still score. I'd say he's more of a playmaker and also good at scoring, while Victor is a finisher which makes him more lethal in the box

The 2013 squad is the best under 17 I've seen
I remember Success' involvement was hampered by injuries and that gave Taiwo Awoniyi chances. They would not stop scoring.
I will however give it to the Late Yemi Tella's boys of 2007. That one was tough. They all but bled to win that one.

Iheanacho seems to be more versatile. He can play as an attacking midfielder because of his great passing and vision, but he can also score goals like a striker. Osimhen is a classic center forward who sometimes drifts to the wings. If I had to pick between a 17 yr old Iheanacho and 17 yr old Osimhen I would go with Osimhen because because Iheanacho was sometimes selfish when he was U17. But he appears to have cut it out now that he is at Man City.
+BoogieDownBx I agree, Osimhen didnt really create many chances compared to Iheanacho. Osimhen tends to drift into wider positions and use his pace and strength to cut inside and shoot. Iheanacho is more central and a bit deeper and can pick out a pass as shown in the video.
+BoogieDownBx Also, i think that if you look at what Manchester City did with Ihenacho, imagine what club like Arsenal could do with Osimhens potential. Osimhen could be better but it depends if he focuses and really works hard. It would be a shame for him to end up like Souleymane Coulibaly who scored 9 goals in 4 games at the 2013 u17 world cup but is now playing at peterborough.
I would choose iheanacho because if he had 7 assists while being selfish, then u can only imagine how he would be if he becomes unselfish. He also scored 6 goals and he is a natural goal scorer, visionary, passer, hustler and has good defense as well (for a forward). The only thing that osihmen has above him is pace and strength. The goal scoring to me is equal because nacho was an attacking mid in u17 which makes it harder to score as opposed to osihmens cf position.
U makes no sense at all. Someone that shares the ball and assist is selfish and Someone who only wait for the ball for purpose of scoring is unselfish. Sentiment is a disease. U can choose him over iheanacho without showing ur biases and Sentiment ignorantly thru ur contradicting submission

Kelechi won d mvp for 2013 u.17 world cup remember as well as d silver golden boot one goal shy from berisha of Sweden who had 7 and he finished with 6 in that tournament..great lad.wouldnt be surprised if he is doing well now at Leicester though had some slow starting at man city with less games played..he is reminiscing his old self at Leicester now..that lethal left foot could be thunderous when he has d ball well under his control..he is a playmaker also can give all those killer and defense splitting passes with good vision..osimhen on d other hand is a goal poacher to d core..doesnt hesitates but to hit it or shoot d ball very hard and precisely..they are both great in their own rights and dispositions..they lived d remains of those 2013 and 2015 u.17 world cup winning team..others hav not hit that high or better put it still struggling..great futures beholds them

Kelechi is a 9 1/2, Twin striker who can play as a false 9.
Osihmen is a complete cf and is a good finisher his a type of player that can give you 25,30 league goals with 3 assist why kelechi iheanacho can play as no 10 role or from the left wing side or as supporting strike kelechi iheanacho can give you 15 league goals with 12 assist that is the difference between the two players

Meen difficult one, but from an expert position. Osimen is a natural finisher, sharp shooter kind of person. A true No 9. A slick passer, an excellent midfielder , also a good finisher as well..but not a sharp shooter like Osimen, Tho they are both different yet ,Iheanacho is better. A type of kelvin de bryune in d making, tactically Iheanacho is still more developed than him as at the time of their under 17. Iheanacho could head for world class..if he gets d environment to develop..

He is not near iheanacho all around talent-wise. He can't drible when not scoring useless and waste of space while iheanacho has potential of becoming a world class player but that can not be said of osimhen and he can't go beyond Napoli simple. Potentially Iheanacho can play on any top best teams in the world. Osimhen limited talent has a limit it can take him. If u are expecting improved Osimhen u will be dreaming because I have watched his games currently at his best but nothing to be inspired about like Paul onuachu who won Belgian league MVP.

Iheancho was not the best player of class 2013, in fact it was Isaac success that was the main star of the team having scored the highest numbers of goals enroute qualification for U 17 world cup and had already been snapped by Udinese before the U 17 world cup tournament which makes him the only foreign based player in the team, unfortunately he got injured after the second match having scored 2 goals and missed the rest of the competiton thereby paving way for iheancho to steal the show, if Success was not injured nobody will be talking about Iheancho , Isaac Success is currently more relevant, he was voted the best young player in La Liga, when he was loaned from the parent club Udinese to Granada and broke club record as the youngest ever player to score a La Liga goal, Isaac Success only problem is that he is Injury prone, though he has not been injured for a while playing regularly for Watford in the english premiership
