May i just say as a non-british fan of the show that it is an ABSOLUTE delight and overall amazing thing of the Team to upload the full episodes to TH-cam for the international fans who have no access to british tv stations to LEGALLY watch this amazing show! I've come across it recently (no idea why i never checked it out before) and in the last 4 or 5 weeks binged ALL episodes and am now up to date and started to tune in on the podcast as well! thank you taskmasters!
The new episodes AND series 10 and 11 are blocked to American and Canadian viewers now, despite those 2 series being fully available until recently. Presumably some channel in North America will be broadcasting them, but they've inexplicably chosen not to do so in a reasonable time frame. As a result, they should expect a majority of theses episodes to be viewed through 3rd party uploads. Poor decisions and planning to lead to this outcome, sadly.

I know it would kind of defeat the object of each country making it their own thing, but I wish a UK channel would pick up the international versions so we could see them legally over here. Brillant Paul Williams is a hilarious guest to have for next week. Series 2 of Taskmaster NZ was absolutely fantastic. Question for him I wonder do they have a pool of tasks from the different shows or have you to check if it's already been done?

I think he just doubts that the item Desiree actually brought in would be anywhere as comfortable as an actual boob. A lumpy pile of silicone < boobs in a bag.
I will explain my thought process as to why Ed argued this: Désirée didn't bring in actual boobs, but the concept of boobs. Both Désirée and Victoria brought in a concept and not the actual article. If we compare the articles itself, Désirée's silicone was considered by Ed as a bit weird and probably not all that comfortable, esp. compared to real boobs on a person. Victoria's is obviously shit. But since both brought in the concept, we'll evaluate the concept. And in the concept, boobs break down. In any case sitting on them is exploitative and patriarchal. If you consider them as being on a woman, sitting on them becomes dangerous and thus not comfortable, also, the boobs are no longer the main focus. And how do you deal with the fact they're supposed to fit in a bag? If you consider boobs without the woman attached, it becomes downright disturbing. The concept just doesn't work. Diamonds meanwhile are not that terrible to sit on, they spread out and form a hard surface. A bit prickly, but that feeling is overwhelmingly overridden by the comfort of long-term fiscal stability, as Victoria put it. Tldr: A heap of silicone is not that much better than a bag full of small plastic shards, but the concept of long-term wealth with minimal short-term inconvenience is massively superior to whatever disturbing person and or thing you put in a bag and call "real boobs." That's why Ed and I think Victoria should have won over Désirée.
I think Mackenzie Crook would be a good choice for the alternate universe Alex. The main thing is looking funnily uncomfortable while barely interacting with people and just standing there with a clipboard/tablet :)

Listening to this podcast three years later and the question about who Mike would pick as his assistant taskmaster... and now Mike is the assistant in Junior Taskmaster.
Victoria is my favorite of the panel as i am a big fan of Only Connect and also her style of super dry humor she displays on QI and EOOTCDC (hat tip to the Brad Domino Trio). Shes hilarious and i think she could be the dark horse of the lineup. excited to see how the series evolves. Morgana is definitly gonna be the comedic highlight though i think with the biggest laughs in episode 1 and the way she took her prizes at the end.... legend!
The only other time I’ve seen Morgana was when she did dictionary corner for Catsdown. That was a bit cringe. My opinion of her has turned 180 degrees after one episode of Taskmaster. She’s amazing! If Greg doesn’t start introducing Alex as “The Little Fucker” in Series 13 I will be very disappointed...
Victoria should have been given 0 points for the prize task! It's supposed to be some kind of physical object, service etc. that the winner can take/use, not an abstract concept or a fictional object.
@@UnIucker She could have just bought a bag of industrial diamonds (they are diamonds but they are really cheap because you can't use them for jewelry etc.). And she would have had a physical object for her abstract concept.

The quality of the seasons since Covid has gotten worse...
@@Christopher_Clark its not really my actual score for each season just a way of my showing its gradually getting worse but got a lot worse since covid... the real scores id give might be up & down somewhat.. i actually think its not just covid making it worse but the wuality of the celebs and how funny they are... but how funny they are might be affected by covid... ie a year of being isolated.. johnny vegas i normally find funny but didnt find him funny on the show.. however as someone has stated, i might be finding stuff less funny cos of my mental health.. ive been getting gradually more depressed every year...

the first episode of the new season is up on the channel, so if you can’t see it it’s probably blocked. If you use a VPN you can find it.
