It couldn't be easier. Im a recent Widow and have inherited my husbands chores. The wood rack is sad and falling apart. This is a perfect fix. Thank you.
I was getting ready to pull out my welder and start cutting some square tubing...until I saw this. Brilliant in it's simplicity. Can't thank you enough for posting this.
Glad it helped!
This is how I've stacked wood for several years. So easy. Just make sure the ground is level. If not these can tip over.
Thanks for the tip might be a recipe for the neighbor's barking dogs😮
This is just what I’m looking for . I’m a grandmom and like to show my grandkids how to do thing that doesn’t cost much . Thanks for sharing .
You’re welcome. I’m happy you enjoyed it!
I love this idea! I’m building 2 at my seasonal camper. No tools and no screws. Sweet!!!!
I was looking to build a rack with 4x4’s , concrete, and a post hole digger when I saw this one. I must admit this way is very ingenious.. thanks for sharing!!
You’re welcome. This is really simple and it works great!
Simple, cheap, and effective, the best kind of design!
Great idea, thank you. I am a retired woman and this is perfect and inexpensive to put together.
You are so welcome!
You are a great instructor! Simple, clear and concise!
Thank you so much!
Just built and stacked this for my first ever firewood build( I'm a city boy). This was so easy and works great! Holds a lot more wood than it looks. I made one mistake though. I was halfway full loading the wood when I realized I forgot to put a brick in the middle. The wood base was bending from the weight but I was able to move some dirt/brick around to fit the brick under it. So far so good! Thanks again!!
No problem!
Just recently discovered your channel. I built the other firewood rack you put out a video for. Made three of them 20 foot long. Awesome racks. I might build this one for the outdoor fire pit. Love your channel and your style. Keep up the good work and many thanks.
Thank you for the kind words. I’m happy you enjoy the channel!
This is the one to have makes the MOST sense !
Thanks for the video, I just put in a wood cook stove and ordered in several cords but I needed a way to stack without putting the wood on the ground. This will work perfect. Thanks again.
Hey mate, I just made one of these thanks to your video. Took less than 5mins to put together. It cost me $70 Australian. Thanks again.
Fantastic!
Definitely an easier version than the one you posted months back (even tho I built two of those!). If the other two fail, I will build this easier version. Thanks for the video.
You’re welcome and thanks for the comment!
Set this up over the weekend for about $40 and it’s working great. Thanks for the tips!
No problem. Happy to help!
Man. . . You are awesome. 👍🏼
I have two trees are cut and chopped next weekend I was planning to make a perfect rack. I k ew someone smart must have a solution I put the question on you tube and boom. You were there with the best idea. Thank you very much.
No problem. Happy to help!
Thank you for this idea! We're not handy so the no-tools approach was very appealing. We set this up as you recommended and it works great!
Awesome!
Love the idea of no tool needed. Thank you for sharing
You’re welcome, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Build the rack exactly as you did and it works perfect! Cheap and solid. Thank you!!
That’s great!
We followed your design and nailed it! It looks amazing and is functional. Wish I could send a picture.
Great job!
Very good video. Detailed, explanatory and informative. Also easy and practical. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
A simple, inexpensive but elegant project. Thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome!
I second the latex dipped gloves. I get a dozen bag off Amazon and they end up less than two dollars per pair. Then I give them away because they are so universally useful. I also love the rack. I looked at several designs and will go with yours because it is elegantly simple!
Thanks for sharing!
This is a great idea. I will be making a couple of these at my off-grid site. The best thing is that I have all the material in the scrap pile lol
I was looking to build rack for myself and this is the easiest thing I have found plus I have everything to do this. Made my day easier. Thanks
Great to hear!
This. Is. PERFECT. I just moved to a house with a wood stove and a heat pump. The heat pump is NOT cheap for heating, so I need to get the wood heating program going. First thing I need is one or more racks for storing the wood. Some of the plans I see here on YT are done by a guy with a woodworking shop. I wanted something simple. This is it. Thanks.
I think you'll love it....and it's easy.
Just completed this wood rack. Worked great. Thanks for the easy solution. Looks good to.
Great to hear!
Great idea. Simple and concise! Thank u
You're welcome!
This is very creative and smart. I was just on marketplace looking for a rack until I watched your video. I'm a pretty creative guy , but this made feel less. Great job thanks😊
No problem and thanks for watching!
This is brilliant. And SO much better than the overpriced metal racks on that well-known website. Those things have thin metal legs that sink into the ground under the weight of the wood, requiring a good bit of ground preparation. And the "covers" they come with disintegrate in less than a year. (yes, i was that guy.)
Thank you!
Very cool. I put the rack and wood right where I needed it. 2 dollar blocks which gets it off the ground like you said. Which is great.
Nice work!
Sweet, simple, and effective. I will utilize this idea! Good ideas are the only thing I steal from people. Thanks for the gift!💪🔥👍👌
No problem! Happy to help :)
I had to chop down a bunch of tree limbs touching my house, and needed a simple way to dry them for future burning. This was perfect. Simple yet effective. Will be 'building' it this weekend, if you really can call that 0 tool assembly a build.
Man I literally just built thus is 10mins thanks
Simply and effective. Love it
Thank you!
This is the easiest way to stack wood. Im not sure who originated this idea but if it was you, many thanks!
You're going to love it!
Well done ✔️... not a nail or screw. Easy to dismantle in the off season. Thanks
Happy to help!
Great idea 😂, I'll pass this along to my friends and family! Thanks!
Happy to help!
I wish I would have seen this before we bought some metal racks. Great idea!
Glad it was helpful!
Can't wait to build this and start stacking.
You're going to love it!
I heat my home in New Jersey for 6 months per year. I burn bout 5 cords in air tight wood burner. To minimize the oil I have to use in furnace. Ur rack is genius
Thank you!
Perfect!
Great design. Love the simplicity. Any ideas for adding a roof for rain protection?
That is genius and will work perfectly for my firewood needs. (On 1/3 scale). Thank you.
You bet!
Found your channel a couple days ago and subscribed! I was sad to see that you didn't upload for 1year. I was so happy to see this pop up!
Keep it up!
Thank you so much and thanks for the sub! I’ll be uploading more videos now that the weather is warmer.
That's what we just did. Works great.
Thanks, I was looking at all the cute/expensive options. This is more my taste!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video. Will be assembling two or three of these this weekend!
Hope you enjoy it!
Love it, thank you.
This is how I stack my wood. Thanks for the video.
You bet!
Those gloves are great for outdoor work. They have them at Harbor Freight for $1.99. Ibuy several pair soi always have them when I need a pair.
Thank you, just what I was looking for, I am going to build one today.
I hope you love it!
I'm all about the KISS Principle and this certainly fits the bill.
Simple and more importantly it's a Brilliant concept 🙌🏼🫵🏼🙌🏼
Thank you Sir!
You’re welcome!!!!
Thanks for the video. I’m going to cancel my 2x4 steel bracket order and build this instead! Nice that’s it’s also elevated!
Glad it was helpful!
This is cool as hell. Thank you from NH!
Hey no problem!
amazing video. building today. will write back when done!
Great way to stack firewood ! I would turn the middle cinder block "holes up" it is stronger in this position.
Good tip!
AWESOME! Thank you.
No problem!
I will make this. It's so easy! Thank you for the tutorial.
You’re welcome 😊
Did this one for our firewood and it works great!!!!
Awesome!
I'm going to build this today! Thanks for the tips.
No problem. Enjoy!
Brilliant and easy to build. Thank you!!
Glad it helped!
Awesome! Gonna do this when I get home.
Hope you enjoy!
Just built this. Works great!
Absolutely a great idea. Thank you 😀
You bet!
I needed just a 4-foot wide rack for a 1/4 face cord, and then my light bulb brain went off....so I "upgraded" my rack simply! Since it is placed alongside my shed, and my shed sits on a pad I built, using 57 stone....After placing in the 2x4s I just filled the cinderblock gaps with 57 stone to reduce any sideways shifting! I suppose that you could also dump in some sakrete if on a solid surface! Of course, the cinderblocks become permanent fixtures at that point - but it IS an option!
Good method. I’ll try this next time I make a face. Saves time as opposed to building a pig sty at each end to bookend the stack.
I'm going to build one of these tomorrow. Thanks!
Hope you enjoy it!
Ingenious! Thank you for posting.
Glad you liked it!
Flip the center block over like your end blocks, it's stronger and is meant to be used that way.
Thank you. I believe I have all of the blocks
I’m thinking a four foot length 8 foot to big.
Thanks Houli
No problem!
Running to store now to get blocks and boards. Thanks!
My pleasure!
Great video! Thank you friend....Texas Hill Country...
Thanks for watching!
LOVE THIS! Made it 🙂
I was needing a two pos hole posts and some arms to hold reclaimed 2x that had a roof to shed water.
Thank you. I've seen pictures of this set up, but was questioning the stability. Looks good man!
Thank you! I think you’ll love it.
If it helps the one I built, using this method, I made 5 years ago and it is still going strong.
Those atlas gloves are the bomb!!
Yes they are!
Perfect! Just the rack project I was looking for.
You’re going to love it! Super simple.
thanks for sharing. finally getting my logs split using the tire idea and wow that's a game changer. While the weather is nice in south east Texas I want to knock this project out. Rigged up something backwoods using an old trailer ramp and two x fours but it just isn't gonna cut it haha. same concept, not great results. Off to the hardware store I go.
Right on!
Absolutely awesome video! Thanks.
I’m glad you liked it. Thank you!
thank you!
My pleasure!
brilliant
This is a great idea, Thanks 🙏
Glad you like it!
Very helpful. Thanks a lot.
No worries!
Great and simple concept!
Thank you!!!
Great design.. maybe if you put gravel under or even just a little inside of the cinders it will help with the 2x4 rot
That’s a great idea!
I considered this design, but I don't like that it uses concrete in tension. The side rails are basically a pry bar in those concrete blocks trying to fracture them and concrete is very weak in tension. I would also put the middle block with the holes vertical so the weight is fully supported by the concrete in compression instead of on a concrete span which puts it in tension. It's a cool idea, but I'd rather not have it collapse and have to restack all the wood.
Cinder block is different than concrete blocks apparently.
@@juditharsenault2131 Yes, true cinder blocks are much weaker than concrete blocks. When most people say cinder blocks now they are referring to concrete blocks also called CMUs.
I made one like this about 6 years ago. Zero issues. I have made it for a friend about 2 years ago, but doubly long using 5 blocks and 4 landscape Timbers. Also zero issues. I do agree the middle block needs to be holes vertical like the end blocks for strength.
Great idea!! Thanks
You're welcome!
Building this today. thank you
You're welcome!
Great plan
Beautiful
I like it 👍🏼
Thank you!
Great idea nice video keep them coming
Thanks! Will do!
Thank you!
You’re welcome!
This is awesome!
Glad you liked it!
Will try it.
Great idea dude 👍
Thanks!
Thanks man!
You bet!
Great Video , Being the 2x4’s ends are will be on the ground. Do you think it would be better to use pressure treated ?
