Se repararem nas 3 versões mais famosas da música (a original de 78, ao vivo em 1979, e a versão de 1986), cada uma te dá uma sensação diferente ao ouvir. Eu meio que me reapaixono ao escutar cada versão, não me canso de ouvir.

Kate sounded crazier in the original recording. Somehow it fits better the mood of the song, even though the differences are subtle. I recommend the remastered version. Perfection at last. :-)

i never had a Catherine in real life but kate make u feel you are hearing your loves one ghost calling you. i ve seen many whuthering heighs movies lots of time, but this song way much more times, sounds very genesis of the 70s nobody notices that, and there s nothing wrong about it
If you notice on the first album cut of this, Kate sang with a very distinctive, thickly enunciated form of English dialect from the United Kingdom, naturally. Over the next few albums she recorded, she eventually caught the attention of listeners in the USA. When she recorded the Hounds of Love album, she had quite a good size of audience there. This is the album that I noticed her thickly enunciated UK accent was very much neutralized (at least in her singing voice). She probably done this intentionally with the help of a voice coach in order to connect with her growing American audience, and so she decided to re-record the Wuthering Heights vocal with her neutralized accent when she released her first "Best Of/Greatest Hits" collection sampler CD.
