Darcy Moore has been crap all year with his form and positioning. No point in denying it as we can all see it clear as day. Kane’s right with his hard line. The bloke was only good last year when Nathan Murphy was there. Without him he’s just another average tall defender

I think its safe to say collingwood with their injuries. Know the season is done and have dropped off their aggression. It happened last year when they secured top 4. Remember they won a premiership last year. How many teams go back to back? Im just happy the boys lifted it last year.
That's the problem with the players too. They're still happy about the flag last season. They've not been focused on winning it again this season.

It's not the 80s anymore, defensive strategy and tactics has changed a lot since then. Most successful teams don't play strictly man-on-man defence anymore.

But good defenders can do both. Defend and then run off to create and intercept.
It isn't complicated. When the opposition has the ball, be on your man. When the ball is in dispute, you can move off your man but stay close. When your team has the ball, run off him and make him chase you.
Darcy Moore isn't doing any of that at the moment. He is constantly caught in no mans land because he isn't following the basics of defending.

The Cats? 4 flags since it truly went national(1992)means they r the most successful club in the land. They reinvent them selves every couple years & r virtually unstoppable.
Competition went national in 1990. Hawthorn are the most successful club with 5 Premierships. Followed by West Coast & Geelong with 4 each.

I've been a 'pies supporter & sometime member for many years. I found myself screaming at Darcy Moore last night, he'd need binoculars to read his Opponent's number at times last night (If he even thought that he had an opponent) although he did get close enough to actually push an opposition player in the back (In this clip). I am wondering whether he is playing injured. But, he is surely not the player he was & that's a worry for our Captain
Didn't Geelong do a similar thing last year after winning the flag in 2022, look at them one year on and their back in premiership contention again.....

What lies and crap has Cornes said about Collingwood? They really believed they were great. Not so much now.
It’s only a matter of clearly defining his role. I doubt he chose his assignment Friday, that’s the match committee direction he followed. I’m not into hanging our players out to dry more so the Captain. Criticism of performance is ok but maligning him and our team is not on.
The rise of Geelong is a direct correlation with the absence of Tom Hawkins.

Clutching at straws again, who cares if they were not tanned up & smiling. Doesn't have anything to do with anything. Competitions evened up this year, their hunger has dropped off, it happens. Darcy Moore's position and "form" is one of many issues that they need to resolve, Pies are currently exposed and teams know how to effectively shut them down. It's up to them to respond and change it up, unfortunately it could mean to shy away from their "DNA" if its not working.

I don't get why they won't send Moore to a big forward, he had the height and athleticism to got with cameron and with most modern day key forwards. He's struggling to help out his fellow defenders at least on a key forward alot of the ball will be coming his way

the problem with Collingwood is that they need to invest in there playing group. they need to invest in a new playing style.
Shows 3 highlights of Moore getting done. 1 is a ricochet off a pack, one is to a small forward out wide near the 50m and the other is off a mis-kick that would have been marked by Moore if it was kicked properly. Very selective sniping from Kane. Granted, Moore isn't in great form, like Kane wasn't for 260 of his 300 games.
Darcy Moore has let his and the team down at Collingwood, the team haven't won a game since the bye in Round 15, I also think it's time for Steele Sidebottom, Scott Pendlebury and Mason Cox to retire.

Within the same clip the panel have said how even the comp is and then gone on to describe the swans as the most powerful side in the comp
Meanwhile there are 2 wins between 2nd and 12th, and 2 of the Swans losses have been from bottom 4 sides. It’s as even as I’ve seen in a long time.

As a Pies supporter, something went haywire after the grand final. I'd never seen such media gloating during the off-season. The team than ran onto the field from the start of this year was psychologically nothing by comparison to last years, even before the injury list became an issue.
Collingwood players, Darcy Moore for example, are too focused on what is next to their name in the stats column than what they are in playing for the team

Great names don't always make or convert into great leaders.
It's just like saying "imagine how much of a champion player X would be if they were at club Y".
TBH, and this is not knocking Nick Daicos in any, way shape or form, but naming him as captain for 2025+ may have a negative effect on his game with the extra pressures of the role.

Darcy Moore has not been a great captain this year and he has been crap and bad this season he has not fight in the contest and have not prove that he is a good captain and I think the Pies in trouble need to finish the product of Darcy Moore and he has been very bad this season.

He speaks about players as if they are just doing as they please. Playing whatever role they feel like. It's staggering. He played the game! 300 of them. He KNOWS Darcy is trying to play the role HE'S BEEN TOLD to play. It's one of a number of roles the team can't get right. Yes, he's struggling and his confidence is down, but stop attacking him as if he's out there trying to be a loose man and unaccountable. The interceptor is a vital part of our game plan. Like stoppage, forward connection, transition: It's breaking down .
Doesnt matter if he is "trying" to be loose or unaccountable or not, thats what he is doing. Standing in absolute no-mans-land and watching the ball go over his head from a pack every single time, not tackling, not marking, not sure how you can be a vital interceptor without marking the footy
Panel definitely over rating the cats on recent form , the only game theyve won recently against a proper good team is against the bombers . The rest theyve won since round 10 is against teams with zero chance of playing finals .

I think you're underrating them a little too. Smashing Essendon AND hawks by 50pts each is nothing to shrug at. They may not be as good as the swans or the blues, but definitely top 4 which is exactly what the panel is saying.
