I honestly love the way all three of you classy guys have gotten together and made two great channels even better. Keep up the great content and the laughs ..
That 3306 engine was very good at 200hp in the D6 crawler, they turbo charged it then intercooled it and put in trucks at400hp, it was stressed and blew the lips off cyl liners and blew head gaskets, rebuilt many in the uk.Regards from uk,
Thanks for another great video. All three of you worked hard on that one. But too many parts gone. Oh well. You tried. You all take care and be safe. Take care Hank and Wiley. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy. Retired Air Force veteran.
Since this truck has what I call the first generation rectangular headlights with the painted headlight rear covers, I'll say this truck is a late '83 or a '84 model. Great videos as always fellows!

Should be mid 80's . I had one with the corvette dash . I'm 70 years old and my mother told me this. If you keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth shut , by the time your 35 , you may know half of what your talking about. She was right i hate to say. .
I have a turbo intercooled 3306 which came out of a twin steer dumpster with terminal chassis failure, it got a new lease of life running a 32 inch centrifugal fan on a big suction system for some opal mining machinery and has been a really good, trouble free motor for many years.
You don't have to be an accredited mechanic to gain a lifetime of knowledge and experience associated with trucks and heavy equipment. Wylie has had the time and he demonstrates the knowledge just about every time you do an episode together. He has probably forgotten more about those subjects than a lot of youngsters have had time and inclination to learn. "You want to know what to do, find a grey hair or two".
WOW! Hank, Wiley --- AND --- James Pretty! ! ! always a great video! Hopefully, one day you'll have Matt from Diesel Creek and Tim Gentry. Keep up the good work! Question: Why is the Dashboard on the truck called a Corvette dashboard ?
I drove an 85 359 for 3 yrs ..im gonna say with the 4 square head lights its between 81 and 87 the 359 was officially retired in 87 That 3306 is about the same as the L10 cummins

great watching you guys wrenching on this old gear but best of all is the banter oh yeah sure makes me..grin you and old mate wiley .are top blokes cheers keep at it
Hey heres up tip for you guys ,,, no starter or flat batts ,,,, get a petrol air compressor an connect it to trucks air tanks ,,, release the brakes once air is full ,, select 7th high range and tow start it with your Gmc ute, heaps faster trust me , just have confident drivers in each vehicle, truck driver puts clutch in with high range gear and soon as engine fires either snap outta gear or clutch in with foot brake , , just find the 1st tank in air supply routing to connect to , closest to air compressor usually, , use tire valve stem or tractor tire , thread it into a blanking bung on air tank , ,, use a fast flow adapter to connect to your installed tractor valve on air tank ,, remove inner valve core to fast flow into truck , once airs full disconnect air hose an fit inner core back in tractor tube valve ,, wear glasses and practice, tip have spare valves incase you loose it ,, 125 psi the air compressor stops at your truck is too, brakes should come off and all truck air equipment should work as normal
Excellent video Hank :) also crew I say truck is 1984 possible but be interesting to find but needs some love plus TLC for sure and be running again too!
The Peterbilt 359 was known for the round headlights and the round sleeper from prestine details with all the chrome knobs and chrome in the dashboard they were nice trucks with the cat 425 or 3406B they will do 115 lol don't worry about the white lines when driving it's like looking when you blink lol
