She stated numerous times that she did not want to return to play Brenda, but it was the fans loyalty to the show and the character that convinced her. She said she would look around her house and at her belongings and the things she was able to do and realised she’d have none of it if weren’t for her fans supporting the show and the character. I think some of her other cast mates couldn’t get past certain hang ups they had and oftentimes seemed annoyed or irritated about how iconic the show was/is.

awwwww I loved this!!! shannen playfully slapping Luke's arm and him hugging her god my heart!! as much as I did like dk brenda/dylan were my otp and seeing that made my heart swoon!! I'm so happy they got a long so well! knowing she fought with jennie and everyone backed jennie up (except luke, iain and brian I believe!!) and that's why she was fired but they didn't know about what was going on in her life at that time makes me sad because brylan were supposed to be endgame the writers and producers said it many times!! but shannen and luke are up there together looking out for each other and I fully believe that! ❤❤
I've always read around that it was Amanda and Brian who didn't want her dismissal... but the fact that Luke also agreed not to dismissal her is new to me 🤔😳I know that as soon as she announced that she had cancer in 2015 he called her a nice gesture.. and from there they started dating again.. something she already did with Brian the only one in the cast who remained friends with her at least that's what I know.. about Jenny I think she did like Alyssa years later.. she couldn't stand the comparison or the alleged rivalry created by the press.. and so instead of trying to collaborate.. I remember Shannen who once said that she just wanted to go on stage play her part and go home.. Jenny and Alyssa could have done that too.. instead they preferred to eliminate the obstacle.. in this way they were the protagonists of their shows.. then fortunately there are those who spoke not in their favor re-establishing the truth of the facts.. giving credibility back to Doherty until that moment still under accusation.. on the other hand it's enough to see how Shannen despite having only done 3 years in the series.. remembers everything about everyone on the series Beverly .. she knows when to answer and when to make funny jokes .. Jenny on the other hand seems like a stranger O_o it seems out of context .. in the end Shannen was right .. for me they shouldn't have sent her away .. it was a big mistake and we understood it over time

Shannen Forever grateful to the character of Brenda even if it is obvious for an actor it is important to continue to do other cinema or TV movies .. I always thought that she had created a wall around herself .. an armor inside herself so that she did not let anyone enter her heart .. for this reason she could be a selfish and self-centered person .. but in my opinion if you tried to break down that wall you could discover a brilliant person .. passionate and generous .. some have succeeded like Holly Marie and Sarah Gellar and many others who were friends of Shannen ... in this clip I found her funny .. perfectly at ease ... she has an absurd memory in remembering even things that happened to the other actors of the series Beverly 😳 I always thought that she was not the only one of the major problems among the cast .. as they wanted to make people believe at the time including the press ... in this clip Shannen is at ease with everyone .. while I find Jenny very set and too serious she has never made me like her .. and then how can I not mention Luke 🥲) may you both rest in eternal peace R.I.P.

Whole cast was wonderful but it was Luke Perry who the powerhouse because he was like James Dean with a dramatic edge
