Brenda was one of my top favorite characters on that show. Her fierce demeanor, her intelligence, her intricate ways, her loyalty to Donna and Kelly(before that classic moment Kelly and Dylan confessed their relationship to her) and her beauty. Putting aside the alleged news of her infamous behavior, Shannen Doherty is such a prominent actress in Beverly Hills 90210 and on Charmed and is basically a reminder of how noteworthy television was back in the day.

Brenda was a badass. She was so fun to hate. The problem is that the fans couldn't figure that out and really treated her badly in real life. You have to think that contributed to her bad behavior on set.

I will never forget that epic moment of the show when Dylan and Kelly knocked on Brenda’s door to tell Brenda about their relationship. That scene and the scene in the park had me throwing my dinner at the television. 🤬 Kelly! PS: that was some damn good tv though. That and Melrose Place was everything!
To this day that scene makes me so angry!! It must be my least favorite episode, because what they did was just so awful! I know there was no easy way to say it but it was just so wrong.
The Season 2 and 3 theme song that you played in the beginning of this video is hands down the top best theme songs of the 90’s period. Such a distinct classic work of art from the colorful visuals to the amazing rock notes. Sexy, cool vibes! That production team was 🔥 for making that fresh sound and it’s a nice improvement from that Season 1 family-friendly tune.

Most shows are like that- unless you are a nut, they are not worth watching after season 3. When Shannen D left? it was something else, and kinda hacky.

I LOVED 90210 back in the day. Watched it every Thursday then would turn on the Real World on MTV afterwards 😄. I remember exactly the season 3 finale I was having an acute asthma attack and would not go to the emergency room until after I saw that episode.
I always and still is, team Brenda!! I always rooted for her and Dylan to end up together. But now it's coming to light that perhaps Alyssa was the real reason not Shannen everyone was having conflicts with each other on that show & I love Charmed. Three sisters who are actually the most powerful witches? Then they tried to do the reboot man, just stop with that.

Yes, Luke was handsome too but not as handsome as Jason! Jason's blue eyes were on a completely different level. I have never seen eyes this beautiful in any male (in female - yes, but not a male), especially since Jason also had very long eyelashes! Jason with his regular face, blue eyes, and wavy, thick hair, was a mix of James Dean, Elvis Presley, and Paul Newman, regarding his physical appearance. Incredibly sexy and handsome! When he cut his hair short he lost a little of this sexy look, but he was still stunning. Anyway, he was handsome as hell!
Tiffany Amber Thiesen as Valerie gave the show a Dallas or Dynasty vibe to it. It was a smart replacement to Shannen Doherty’s character Brenda and a nice transition to dramatic teen years to the sinister adult years of college and beyond. The show was unapologetically ahead of it’s time and could care less about the controversy and the critics. They were smart to air new episodes during the summer too back then. A nice flavor to it throughout and of course who doesn’t love the musical incorporation they did from David Silver(go white boy go! Lol) to the musical guests they had at the Peach Pitt afterdark!

This show took drama took the max it made VD (Vampire Diaries) look like a walk in the park. And it's to my understanding that David was 1 year behind Brenda, Brandon, Kelly, Steve & Dylan he asked along the lines of "How am I going to deal with you guys being gone & I'm here all by myself?" David became so comfortable with his friends that he fears of how he was going to cope after they all graduate & he'll be a senior the next year.

I'm all grown up now and this is STILL one of my favorite shows! I have all of the seasons on DVD sets and was just thinking a few days ago that it's about that time for me to start watching again. On a side note, Josie Davis should have gotten a mention. Her character's name was, Camille Desmond.

I once had to do a work shoot with Ian Zeiring (aka Steve Sanders) and I gotta say he's one of the nicest guys IRL. And another shoot with Gabrielle Cateris (Andrea Zuckerman) who's just as adorable off camera. They're both really lovely people.
I was a kid/teen in the 90s and was obsessed with this series. I was fascinated by how good looking everybody was, but my favourite was Donna! Amazing figure and outfits! Even as a kid I could see there was something off about Andrea. How could she pull it off? Only a blind person could have missed she was too old to play a teen

Its weird as a few years ago i went through a complete binge watching of the series on a obscure cable channel. I forgot how good it actually was. When the show first aired i was only about 12 so i didnt really appreciate it. But it was a ground breaking show with a brilliant concept. I loved the idea of all the rich kids and children of celebrities going to the same school.
I watched this show from the get-go. i liked the Brenda character in the beginning because she was so relatable. I always felt they changed her personality to mirror the issues the show was having with Shannon before they wrote her out.

The show lost its magic when they let Shannen go and also the entire Walsh family eventually left. It didn't feel like the same show after the family left.
90210 is the reason why tv seasons are all year round now. fox had summer seasons for other shows that year. primetime tv season used to be october to may. now it is all over the place. you have top notch, quality shows premiering at any time of the year.
The episode where Kelly and Dillon tell Brenda that Dillon has chosen between Kelly and Brenda and that he and Kelly are going to be a couple going forward is easily the most infuriating episode of the entire show. I hate Kelly to this very day. The most heartbreaking episode is the one where Dillon marries Antonia (Toni) only for her father to order a hit on Dillon that accidentally ends up being carried out on Toni. I cried for a solid week after that episode 😢 This show will always be one of my favorites.
Dillion and Kelly deserved each other. There was no future with Brenda. I felt sorry for how Kelly's character just got all the bad brakes from alki mom to no father to raped to all the drama in the group. If it happen, it happened to Kelly. An anti white girl theme.
in the episode when they sleep over at Brenda's Kelly tells she once went for Dylan then acted like never again but then when Brenda was in Paris she started seeing him I felt so bad for Brenda's character Shannon should have it coming when they had her character Leave to off to Acting. They should have ended the show it started going down hill they add the character Valerie I didn't like her character. When they had Jamie Walter Character push Donna down stairs ruined for Jamie so awful they had his character do that.
I was team Dylan and had a Dylan doll back in the day. All my Barbies wanted to date him. Lol, I grew up with this show and it was way ahead of its time. And Aaron Spelling eventually put Shannon Daughtery in Charmed and that's my show! (Even though she ended up leaving that, too).
I am not sorry for saying this, but the show went off the rails when Aaron Spelling started trying to force Fox to turn it into "The Tori Spelling Show". If you doubt this, look at how the scripts in seasons 4-7 kept trying to make her out to be the center of the series all the time. When the scripts had it where her character was being stalked, people were actually pulling for the stalker and hoping Donna Martin would killed of.
Not sure if this was already mentioned, but in Tori Spelling's book she stated that she was not the one who went to her father to have Shannen kicked off the show. The cast, minus Tori did so. Tori knew how it would look being the producer's daughter asking to have someone fired and didn't want that criticism, especially since she most likely only got the role bcuz she was Aaron's daughter.

This was my favorite show until Melrose Place came onto the scene. Correction until Heather Locklear made her debut on the show. Nobody could tell me anything about Amanda Woodward.
She brought the ratings up but I felt at some point, Amanda, Kimberly and Sydney were all keeping the ratings up. YOu couldn't tell me that Syd was trash for what she did to Jane or how coco Kimberly was when she came back and that wig pull off took the show to another level.

Didn't watch this show when it was on tv,but,ordered the 1st season dvd set from amazon,bought it several months ago and haven't watched it yet. Also bought 3 seasons of-FRIENDS-on dvd from amazon and enjoyed the show. Plan to do the same for-FRAISER-also. I get a kick outta watching series I've never seen before from the past,so there's no nostalgia attached.

So we ran as well trying to catch him and of course didn’t find him but miraculously we ended up at the same gas station. We got to talk to him for a sec from his limo.

I'm all grown up now and this is STILL one of my favorite shows! I have all of the seasons on DVD sets and was just thinking a few days ago that it's about that time for me to start watching again. On a side note, Josie Davis should have gotten a mention. Her character's name was, Camille Desmond.

Wednesday night in the early 1990's were so fun! Was in college and had anywhere from 4 to 8 guys, depending on the week, watching 90210 and Melrose Place while drinking quite heavily. At 10pm, we hit the bar for $2 pitchers. Just a day in the life, ann arbor mich, circa early 90s
The music being replaced in these shows I grew up with is really heartbreaking. Sounds like a silly thing but the music is a huge part of the experience.

I once had to do a work shoot with Ian Zeiring (aka Steve Sanders) and I gotta say he's one of the nicest guys IRL. And another shoot with Gabrielle Cateris (Andrea Zuckerman) who's just as adorable off camera. They're both really lovely people.
The whole show to me was based around Brenda and she was fhe main character. When she left, it fell apart.

I was a kid/teen in the 90s and was obsessed with this series. I was fascinated by how good looking everybody was, but my favourite was Donna! Amazing figure and outfits!
Even as a kid I could see there was something off about Andrea. How could she pull it off? Only a blind person could have missed she was too old to play a teen
Loved this show. Reminds me of 1992 and lol it was in Afrikaans in South Africa so I had to listen to the radio and put the tv on mute to listen it in English. Monday nights. I loved the show.

Its weird as a few years ago i went through a complete binge watching of the series on a obscure cable channel. I forgot how good it actually was. When the show first aired i was only about 12 so i didnt really appreciate it. But it was a ground breaking show with a brilliant concept. I loved the idea of all the rich kids and children of celebrities going to the same school.
I watched this show from the get-go. i liked the Brenda character in the beginning because she was so relatable. I always felt they changed her personality to mirror the issues the show was having with Shannon before they wrote her out.
Perhaps a 21 Jump Street episode down the road

The show lost its magic when they let Shannen go and also the entire Walsh family eventually left. It didn't feel like the same show after the family left.
90210 is the reason why tv seasons are all year round now. fox had summer seasons for other shows that year. primetime tv season used to be october to may. now it is all over the place. you have top notch, quality shows premiering at any time of the year.
But back then, it became a bonus to regain the audience

The episode where Kelly and Dillon tell Brenda that Dillon has chosen between Kelly and Brenda and that he and Kelly are going to be a couple going forward is easily the most infuriating episode of the entire show. I hate Kelly to this very day. The most heartbreaking episode is the one where Dillon marries Antonia (Toni) only for her father to order a hit on Dillon that accidentally ends up being carried out on Toni. I cried for a solid week after that episode 😢 This show will always be one of my favorites.

Dillion and Kelly deserved each other. There was no future with Brenda. I felt sorry for how Kelly's character just got all the bad brakes from alki mom to no father to raped to all the drama in the group. If it happen, it happened to Kelly. An anti white girl theme.
in the episode when they sleep over at Brenda's Kelly tells she once went for Dylan then acted like never again but then when Brenda was in Paris she started seeing him I felt so bad for Brenda's character Shannon should have it coming when they had her character Leave to off to Acting. They should have ended the show it started going down hill they add the character Valerie I didn't like her character. When they had Jamie Walter Character push Donna down stairs ruined for Jamie so awful they had his character do that.
Any time I see that even now I have trouble holding back tears 😂 that was a really rough one

I was team Dylan and had a Dylan doll back in the day. All my Barbies wanted to date him. Lol, I grew up with this show and it was way ahead of its time. And Aaron Spelling eventually put Shannon Daughtery in Charmed and that's my show! (Even though she ended up leaving that, too).
You can thank both Alyssa and Tori for that. Alyssa wasn't a main character on charmed until shannen left.

To me the best seasons were season 1 & 2. After that it was never the same
I am not sorry for saying this, but the show went off the rails when Aaron Spelling started trying to force Fox to turn it into "The Tori Spelling Show". If you doubt this, look at how the scripts in seasons 4-7 kept trying to make her out to be the center of the series all the time. When the scripts had it where her character was being stalked, people were actually pulling for the stalker and hoping Donna Martin would killed of.

Not sure if this was already mentioned, but in Tori Spelling's book she stated that she was not the one who went to her father to have Shannen kicked off the show. The cast, minus Tori did so. Tori knew how it would look being the producer's daughter asking to have someone fired and didn't want that criticism, especially since she most likely only got the role bcuz she was Aaron's daughter.
Shannen told Tory on her podcast before passing that Brian was also against Shannen getting fired. So brave of him and a real friend to Shannen.

I really want to know what went down after Season 4 because Season 5 was a very different show and 80% of the main cast left at the end of that season. This was my favorite show until Melrose Place came onto the scene. Correction until Heather Locklear made her debut on the show. Nobody could tell me anything about Amanda Woodward.

She brought the ratings up but I felt at some point, Amanda, Kimberly and Sydney were all keeping the ratings up. YOu couldn't tell me that Syd was trash for what she did to Jane or how coco Kimberly was when she came back and that wig pull off took the show to another level.

Didn't watch this show when it was on tv,but,ordered the 1st season dvd set from amazon,bought it several months ago and haven't watched it yet. Also bought 3 seasons of-FRIENDS-on dvd from amazon and enjoyed the show. Plan to do the same for-FRAISER-also. I get a kick outta watching series I've never seen before from the past,so there's no nostalgia attached.
