Good video. I also have a model Y Tesla, 2023, a little over a year with 11,000 miles. Took it on a road trip 500 miles away. It drove great, but I really need to get it wrapped because trying to get all the splattered bugs off wasn’t easy. Haven’t done it yet bc it’s so expensive, but know I need to.
Nice! I put PPF on my front bumper and hood by myself. I got the kit from Amazon. It's totally doable. I watched a few TH-cam vids for preparation. Definitely worth the few hundred dollars over the few thousand dollars from the PPF shops. Same protection! Here are a few to check out: amzn.to/3Qyjrkv amzn.to/3s7F9lh
Expel's new film is expensive, but I think it's worth it. You don't have to ceramic coat the film. It's built-in now, just wash and blow dry or wipe it down and you're done! It was worth the extra money. I have a friend who has the standard film and has to recoat the film about 2-3 times a year. I think that have a kit for the front bumper, hood and mirrors you can do yourself. I learned from my Honda that everywhere I didn't wrap was the place that got scratched. Crazy how cats, flying rubber, etc. can hit spots you just don't think they will.
I got a black car and knew day from day one get her PPF with ceramic coating. I did the front end including headlights. Ceramic coated the rest of the car, but now I wish I wrapped the entire car. It isn't cheap but for those with a black car who want to keep it scratchless PPF the entire car.
I am torn between the practicality of the Model Y performance or the fun exhiliration of the Model S plaid. What to you think? Keep my Audi s5 and give it a friend via the Model Y. Or just have one car and get the Model S plaid? Decisions Decision Decisions.😆
Model y is amazing , will never go back . Coming from 3 Srts . Jeep Srt , Durango Srt , scat pack . I’ll take it over all of those . Model y became my dream car after getting it no lie lol
@@kevinxavier9994 I got the Model Y Performance. I had the Durango SRT and it doesn't compare. I do have a 300 SRT which I am about to sell as she's seen less than 400 miles over the past two years. I will probably get the new model 3 performance or plaid- project Highland and sell my Audi.
That’s what I’m taking about saved pretty much 1800 in a year now times that for 5yrs having the car that’s 9s saved!!!!! And low to no maintenance on the car except for tire rotation.
Yeah, I was thinking about buying one of these. I do rideshare but I drive about 8 to 10,000 miles a month. I think I would break this car in one year I do the rental program it takes me about five months to break a car you know CV joints shocks tires and a boatload of other maintenance that’s why I do the rental program I would never own a car doing this type of work you might as well just take your money and throw the trash can
I use this car as a weekends only. In 8 months I only have 4500 miles on it. my daily driver is my commercial production truck that I perform mobile detail out of 6days a week. The longest trip i took was to the San Diego zoo. My 2023 has aftermarket upgrades such as real carbon fiber, multi color ambient lighting, 5% tint on all windows (except front), stealth Matt black Wrap with clear PPF wrap overlay. I’m single no kids and I make good money as an independent contractor. The women I put in the car are amazed when i take them for a ride. My note (finance) is $700 and that’s before the savings. This car is one of my best investments. I will fully pay it off in 3yrs and sell it in 2026.
Present-day charging costs are phenomenal but just wait until we go 100% electric then the crying begins. Like yesteryear, the utility companies just screwed the public when it came to electric prices, and nothing is worse than knowing this is going to happen again. This comment is just a "remember when" I'm not opposed to EVs but I'm smart enough to know that the cost of gas vs electricity prices aren't going to be that much different when you look back in 40 years. Same corruption just different players.
The 21” asymmetrical wheels and tires are a PITA on the Performance model. The back rims/wheels are a 1/2” wider than the front so they can’t be rotated. Plan on budgeting around $2400 for a new set of tires when they wear out.
Facts, I kinda wish they didn’t come with a staggered setup. I don’t even think you gain a lot of performance capabilities from it since the rears are only about 10mm wider. The car is already plenty fast
@@MattDanadel Tesla should've given a 19inch wheel option, it's lighter therefore gives a faster 0-60 time, is more durable, and cheaper tires. I'm planning to switch mine to 19s when the 21 tires wear out
So you felt it was okay to illegally park on the sidewalk? But love how you compared gas savings to the Model Y to a Mercedes-Benz GLC. They're are nothing alike. And it's funny how you down played tire wear on a Tesla. Tires wear quickly on them due to the weight, even with tire rotations. This is true for all EV's. On the Performance they get even faster wear due to only being able to rotate side to side, unless you change out the wheels that are the same size all around and can be rotated properly.

Good info. What car(s) have you had previously to this one?
What drone are you using?

I THINK THE NEW 2023 TOYOTA PRIUS LE IS MORE EFFICIENT WITH 630 MILES OF RANGE WITH A FULL TANK HARD TO BEAT IN MY OPINION
