@@renealexander2703 Its hard to say that there is just ONE true love since she loved all of her husbands in different ways. For example Roger (Megan's father) was her first teenage true love.
@MagicWally My Mother and my Aunt loved this show also and totally got me hooked as a kid and I must say this is the greatest soap opera of all time!!!! Esp from 1985-1987
@@Goldenrod636 , Joe and Vicki are fictional characters. If the writers wanted them apart, they would be apart. It's not up to the fictional characters. This happens to most couples on soap operas. They break up. One could also view it as, it was meant for Joe to die so Clint and Vicki could be together.
this was when soaps had great actors and scripts oh the goo old days o 1985-1987. I hope someone posts max/gabby's debut on the show during the argentina storyline involving tina being held hostage by jamie sanders and plunging over the waterfalls to her supposed death. that was the best storyline of the show(1987).
@bluenail03 Julie Montgomery was the first Samatha and the third. she left in 1978 right after Jamesion Parker left as Brad. Susan Keith Played it for 3 months or so, then Julie came back. Dorian Lopinto was the last Sam
I remember when Viki Buchanan sliped in a coma and was asked away to heaven in 1987 and what was so stupid having them on a spaceship going back to heaven and Erica Slezak was 41 years old then ?
How would MEREDITH have handled the letter Victor Wrote confessing that he had sired Tina, would she have been more aceppting of Tina's claim One thing certian the killing off of MEREDITH was a HUGH HUGH mistake now that NEVER should have happen
Didnt erika date the actor who played vinnie wolek. Did fans like that Joe's twin brother was on the show ? I imagine it's not the same. Heaven was wild on a spaceship. I think every Irish boy born in 1979 to 83 was named kevin. In my school I had several Kevin's but seems that name is passed. People name their kids very pretentious names these days. Last names as first names.
What the hell is Victor (that monster) doing in Heaven? !!! I know that's before they re-wrote history. I guess this was Viki's version of what Heaven would be like.
It was a different team of writers, too. Likely they ought to have looked back over old footage, or scripts, in order to have some consistency later with the way things were here. First they made Victor Lord out to be an upstanding family man and publisher; later Dorian forced Viki to remember the ugly truth about what a depraved old monster sicko he was. Dorian has to stand trial for killing Victor, when it was one of Viki's alters, Tori I think, (the most dangerous one) all along who had done it. Stupid Sloane Carpenter put Viki up to that-- was he ever opportunistic. They also re-wrote Clint to be the heavy (and a homophobe) just so they could make it plausible that Viki would dump Clint for evil Sloane. Later, after all that BS, it came out that #1) the old coot Victor had not only been evil, but that, #2) he wasn't even dead! He was hiding out in some spooky remote estate he owned that was never before mentioned, which negated the whole heaven thing, on two counts. But your explanation for they way the writers dropped the ball is about the only one that makes sense.
I always stood behind my idea that Joe was Viki's one-true-love.
Joe was my favorite husband of Viki's
He was. It never was Clint.
I think Vicki has two true loves.

@@Goldenrod636 , I agree, but I responding to your statement that Joe was Vicki's "one true love."
I loved Clint Ritchie, God rest his soul.
That heaven set was one hell of a set! It wasn't too bad for a soap opera. That's why i've always loved this show.
They had mega bucks in the 80s. They spent a fortune on the eterna set & erika said" it's still there with all that money "

Same here.....But, it was my Mom on her days off....
Joe was Viki's true love.
Clint was also Viki's true love.

A shame most all of this storyline has been taken down.

lol!! I remember this! I was freaked ot when i heard the drill buzzing into viki's head!

I never quite understood why Heaven looked like a space ship...

It was cool to see Joe Riley again, it really annoyed me when they killed him off the show.
The actor asked for that to happen.
@@tjames9698 , I read somewhere that Erica Slezak wanted joe killed off.
wow viki looks so different!!!!!
Yes...I remember this....Weirdest "Gone to heaven" storyline on a daytime soap ever.....It looked more like a spaceship in the future than a place....
what about Clint and the boys?
She is torn.
Remember at this time Victor was a devoted father. OLTL killed a lot of story possibilities with that change

Agreed. The producers even admitted it.
@bluenail03 That was the second Harry
I believe this was 1989,not '87!
She was there. Viki had several major scenes between her and Victor regarding the affair and secret marriage that created Tina.
no it was 1987
