I loved OLTL in 1987! Vicki and Clint had their best conflict and then resolution. And I loved the romance with Cord and Kate. I didn't like it when they killed off Maria, but she did a great job on the show for the time she was there!
Such powerful scenes throughout this clip with Viki, Clint, and Larry...the one with Viki and Larry really got to me! I can't help feeling sorry for Maria. The kids are so rude to her.
Maria deserves 0 sympathy considering she knew Alison Perkins kidnapped 'Jessica' and framed Viki (those kids mother) by making it seem like Niki Smith was back and that she was responsible for the kidnapping. Maria was trying to destroy those kids' family and replace Viki as their mother.
Erika is the best television actress of our time and it is a real shame that the public has been deprived of her for a decade. There is a true prejudice against daytime actors in Hollywood although they are some of the hardest working and some of the most talented actors in the business. This woman learned an average of 260 scripts a year for forty years; compare that to one of America’s longest running prime time dramas, “Murder, She Wrote” with a show running total of fourteen years and a TOTAL of 264 scripts. It’s a shame Hollywood cannot see the logic in that and Erika’s record six Emmys! Along with the prejudice against her daytime work she also faces the ageism directed at women in Hollywood as well. I am stepping down from my soapbox now!
It's funny you should bring up Murder, She Wrote. I have been thinking with all of the reboots, remakes, etc of the day, Erika Slezak would be a perfect replacement for Angela Lansbury if they were to do a Murder, She Wrote reboot. I hear that there have been talks, but AL felt that she would be too old to pull it off. If they didn't want to recast Jessica Fletcher, ES could be her niece or a colleague. I'd watch it.
Did Maria meet tom before coming to llainview? If so gotta love soap coincidence vikis deceased husband unknown identical twin brother knows clints long ago teenage gf & mother of his son & somehow these 2 met.
I get confused was it confusing for people who watched Victor lord prior to did story did u see anything weird when he first started some same was never supposed to go that way some say one of writer did this cuz their father was a prodimant figure and rich that it was a common thing and needed to be address what do y'all think
That’s when daytime television 📺 was daytime television 📺.
