I really like the sincerity of the scenes with Tom and Vicki before her surgery. Tom Dennison was a great character and while I never saw Vicki's relationship with Joe (I was a little girl then) I like the chemistry of these two together here.
Dorian is the uber diva!! Dorian had Maria's number yet Maria in her scene w/ mitch at the airport had him shook. Dorian " killed mitch so Dorian is the greatest! I never knew Dorian & maria spoke as robin hated Rauch & wanted out & left in 87. Quite a few 80s characters should have stayed on oltl even for visits or shaking things up. Like maria Roberts was a great character. She had a child w/ clint a son & 2 grandkids plus great fighting chemistry w/ tina & viki. I didn't know john Russell was still on oltl in 92 & the reason nora stayed in llainview. He was Marty's lawyer but he had too many cases so he asked nora to take on Marty's case ( she crashed her bike into the banner window!) I much rather would have seen john have been in the later role that sam took. Seems nora knew john from back in the day. They had chemistry in their scene too. I would have loved to have seen herb stay on & I believe he would have destroyed todd & powell on the stand he was the fiercest d.a. I'd ever seen. He won every case & could break anyone down.
Does anybody else get the impression that the 80's writers never really made the connection that not only were Mari Lyn, Joey, and Kevin close blood relations (cousins), but also Joey and Kevin's ONLY blood relatives on their father's side! They always talked about her as if she was just a family friend. And Tom was their blood uncle.
Robin Strasser was in some RANKDICULOUS outfits while she was on her last 1980's episodes. Paul Rausch must have been REALLY mad at her for leaving the show.
Robin Strasser is such a pro; between Robin and Erika Slezak, Barbara Luna looked as if she was at her first pro-am match. I am sure she is a wonderful person! In addition, I am sure she is a great actress in certain roles and mediums but daytime used to be for the best. It’s hard work and there were far too many big screen actors that could not cut it in their “guest star” roles. It’s a shame it was always looked down upon in the industry, if Erika had followed in her father’s footsteps and pursued the silver screen she would have been another Meryl Streep or better; and Erika was never better than when she played off a equally talented actress and no one was a better match than Robin. Therefore, Robin was equally ready for the big screen and honestly she could do comedy just as easily, more so than Erika though the character of Viki was not geared to have many light hearted moments save for the occasional splinter into her first alternate personality, Niki Smith. It’s shocking that no producers have sought out the power duo of Slezak/Strasser for a Broadway play. If Joan Collins and Linda Evans could draw crowds for “Legends,” imagine those characters in the hands of these great actresses.
Even as much of rivals as Dorian and Vickie were, they really did have each other’s back.
Love these scenes with Dorian vs. Maria! Dorian had her running for sure.

Why did Robin and issues with Paul Raunch???
I have heard Erika say he was one of the best executive producers OLTL ever hired …….
Dorian had Maria number
@shrinefilms1 that is so true Shrine. I never even thought about the fact that Mari Lynn is Kevin & Joey's cousin.

what about their cousin Julie and Aunt Eileen?
Yeah. I liked Marilynn and Tom. And I wished they were viewed more as close family.
Cord was the only person left in the world who still believed Maria was a good person. She surely exposed her true colors later on
Dorian is not the one for any of Maria's schemes she's on her trail like flies on shit
@ericlbrown2002 I like Kim Zimmer a lot but Maria could have easily fit into the Echo story going on right now.

I liked her outfits. I thought they were glamorous.
VICTORIA LORD RILEY BUCHANAN DAVIDSON
Why does everyone forget Vicki had another husband at the end? Banks the alcoholic had an affair with echo
Forgot Banks last one
@shrinefilms1 It's binding. It's some sort of scary hybrid of the 40's and melted Easter eggs.
I like that scene with Wanda and Tom. Wanda was in love with Joe, wasn't she? They should have had her fall for Tom.
