    Good advice. I tried sharpening mine which I don’t recommend. Just buy a replacement blade which was only 15. Now they hitting again !

    Nice review. Just here getting as much insight. I want to pull the triggers on these soon. I'm not a professional barber. I just line up my beard in between hair cuts. Other youtubers have mentioned that these come ready to go right out the box.
    I was under the assumption from what other users conveyed that SC Saber were already zero gapped out the box.

    Lazers I just didn’t think they could out cut my andis T outliners gapped with ceramic cutter and balds out and they give the most crispy lines and they are modified with cord and still the sabers gave them a run for their money right out the box zero gapped of course and my fx3 trimmer with the phylthy blend. Mod golden fx offiginal blade with the ceramic and they hit and still my hands are grabbing my sabers and the ergonomics are on point and the one cutter blade is in a league of their own they feel like a good buy and they are drilling into the line and lines i make.awesome content and I enjoy the all black saber 😅

      Doesn’t say anything officially anywhere but I have heard that. The gold blade may feed a little better but the black cuts nice as well.

      People say there is. They’re technically the same but the gold may feed hair just slightly better. Switched back to the black one recently and it’s crazy too so I don’t think it’s significant

    They don't irritate the skin after the zerogap? I zerogapped my GoldFX with the tool that was coming with it and I'm getting all cut up from it :(

      Just have to make sure they’re not over zero. There’s a fine line between zero and cutting people. Just have to take your time

    Mine came 0 grapped i think, it pulls my hair when i try to flick with the trimmer or when i press harder, is that normal, i feel like at some places i have ingrown hair,lol.

    I used the setter and even pulled back a bit and they f**ked up first clients nape even with a light touch 😂
    I find them hard to zero gap personally

      Shouldn’t be difficult just use the blade setter. If you hold it still and tighten it in there should be just right

    Do you zero gap for bulk removal bro or just leave as is.
    Reason why I ask is because they are pretty sharp as is.
    I’m new to the game but feel like the misperception is everyone wants to zero gap everything and I don’t only my hitters for line ups . The bulk removal trimmer I leave as is right out the box.

      Definitely have to be light handed. Also can’t push too hard just hold it against the blade setter. If you press to hard it can go a little too sharp

    Having a hard time zero gapping them do to the black on black blade. Wish they came with a contrasting still blade. They hit ok but I’m not that impressed. I still reach for my gold fx trimmer

      No way. Do it just like I do in the video no need to for contrasting blade. The blade setter gets it right to zero. These things cut absolutely crazy

    For all new barbers 🚨 never adjust your trimmer cutting blade equal to your back blade. Always adjust the cutting blade (evenly) a little lower than the back blade. Test it on the inside of your forearm etc and please don’t use the same trimmer on every client (i.e.) children, clients with sensitive skin etc. Watch different techniques on how to adjust your trimmers. It isn’t as easy as what he’s showing in this tutorial. Learn your tools, keep your tools oiled and clean and don’t burn and cut your clients.

      Also if you use your trimmer slightly angled away from the face in the direction of the still blade there's less chance of irritation because the moving blade won't actually make contact with the skin.

    Lasers 😅 just how I like them and I like them better than the instinct trimmer by preference of how my style is and I’m just use to using them and holding them and I just don’t have any thing to grab onto them at the bottom cause of the style and I just don’t enjoy the ergonomics of the instinct trimmer and yes they are powerful and they even have that vibration to make you aware of the power they have and they are awesome trimmers but they’re just not made for me and the sabers allowed me to instantly get use to and they are powerful and hit soooo crispy 😅 and it’s going to take alot to make me switch and my XTRIM clippers are just amazing and they are my favorite tool by far I love them 😅 more than my magic clips and even better than my gold magic clips and better than my instinct clippers and they have competition and my saber clippers are in second place and I still love my absolute alpha clippers with the modifications are still in the arsenal 😮 I just don’t pick them up I go for my XTRIM clippers and they are like the new seniors only XTRIM is on steroids and my ergonomics just takes them to another level and modified to my style. The black saber trimmer is flawless and that’s what my hands reach for and the color they are amazing 😅

    Zero gap tool does NOT come with Stylecraft “Saber” trimmer. I just purchased a Stylecraft black “Saber”trimmer. So I know.

    the blades are the same ? Saber gold , saber black ?

      They’re both x pro and the one blade. However lots of people talking about them being different. I haven’t noticed it much yet
