The thing is that these are very specific conditions (small object, worse light, small focusing distances, huge relative changes). In real life, I doubt that many people would be able to recognize DFD from PDAF in a blind test. I was impressed by its capabilities in more typical conditions.
Hello, do you find AFC on the mk2 a significant upgrade over the mk2? AFC as such is meant, not the detection (60fps). I have a gh5, run/gun/point/shoot in 4k60, one area, AFC and hunting is mostly my gripe. Loosing focus, yes, but I can delete a clip as an amateur. Thank you, Frans/Bali 😀👍
There is not the best setting and it cannot exist at all. Like everything, it depends on what you want and the purpose. All the settings may be the best for different purposes and different goals. Mostly, I would recommend somethings like +0/+0 for both or slightly higher like +1/+1. But there can be a situation where -5/-3 would be the best. It depends on the situation and the purpose.
@@digimaniecz I can somewhat agree. I find that the AF works really well for me. If you increase the value of one, the other seems to work well at zero or above. But I would not necessarily go negative, or below negative one with the sensitivity at least… …
Chtělo by to nějaké srovnání s fázovým AF. Viděl jsem test Canonu R3, ale takhle detailní to rozhodně nebylo. Nikdo tam neřešil snímkovou frekvenci videa atd.

For video i think that manual focus is still the best mode. For stills it depends. When i take pictures of birds in flight it is completely different.
Thank U for the video. Actual AF test looks a lot worse than many reviews of youtube channels. Panasonic's still Manual Focusing only.

Pokud se dostanu k nějakému takovému fotoaparátu, test určitě provedu.
To as neni úplně potřeba. PDAF bude skoro vždycky lepší v AFC než slavné DFD.
