@JulybornInDecember in Vietnam I see new about 370$ used about 200$. I bought S24+ mint condition 620. With how phone progress slowed down there is no point in overpaying for latest models
True. My friend has the pixel 9pro, he lost his 8pro. He says it's very good, but not much different to his 8pro. Only thing he's noticed is the better build quality
@@Petrovich2049from my experience pixels don't slow down . I still have an old pixel 2. It's still as smooth and fast as the day I purchased it. It also keeps up with my newer pixels
Nothing's wrong with 7 series. You don't have to upgrade phones every year. And there really isn't that much of a difference in 7 and 9.An upgrade Every 3-4 years is normal.
As someone who just bought a pixel 8a do you really think if I could afford a pixel 9 I would have bought this one? It little cost more than double. That's like saying don't buy this Honda civic just get this rolls Royce.
@paolo.cannizzaro anyone with a brain would compare it to stuff around the same price bracket, maybe cover the options slightly above and slightly below for comparison sake.
@@andrepower6 yeah I mean, when the 8a came out, it was compared to the 8 because it already had dropped in price, so it was just slightly more expensive than the 8a. That was a good comparison to make, and I believed it was a no brainer to spend 30-50 dollars more on the 8 as opposed to a msrp 8a. This time tho, of course the pixel 9 is a better phone, but it cost double that the 8a goes for right now, so yeah, no point
@@paolo.cannizzaroI was very close to buying the 8 but it sold out, it was around 30 euros difference at some point and of course it sold out instantly. At around 350 it's the best phone when it comes to cameras and by far software support in it's price range, my only issue is slow changing but it doesn't affect me much since I charge my stuff overnight anyways. I came from a poco F1 that I had for around 6 years and that phone was very good but the software held it back immensely, full of bugs and stutters even when new so this time I went the other route, no flagship specs but a strong software (hopefully).
There aren't many sacrifices when you're getting it at £379 lmao. Bezels are a little chunky but you don't notice after using it for a day, and the charging speed is fine cuz you can charge it overnight and it'll last you the day with moderate use (listening to music through Pixel Buds all day, some messing, some social media, and occasional bit of Google Maps)
Understand that Google is scared of iPhone SE 4 coming in Q2 of 2025 so Google not only have to move Pixel 9's before April but they have to sell off old Pixel 8/8a stock before Pixel 9A is released.
I got my Pixel 8a in bay blue for $399 at BestBuy black friday deal. For me its a no brainer, I could have easily gotten the pixel 9 but I rather save the money and I love the design/colour of my Pixel 8a 😊
Got a 8a in 235$ about 3 monts ago and previously used pixel 6 few months. I think its really solid upgrade. Phone size perfect for my tiny hand. Battery life is decent can stay with me whole day without any issue, charging speed enough too and also really feels comfortable with thick bezels 😅. I dont have any mind to pixel 9 series. Will later series.
And now im second! I am a Pixel 6 user, and I don't feel the generation difference as much because I use GrapheneOS - a privacy/security oriented os that doesn't have most of the pixel exclusives (except the camera!). I'm waiting for the Pixel 10 and then I'll switch!
I have a pixel 7a ( by choice) I honestly can't fault it . I prefer it over my pixel 6 pro. I've seen brand new pixel 8pros on sale for half the cost of the original device. To me the 8pro would probably make more sense financially, plus it still has plenty more OS and security updates to come . I'll most likely wait for the 9a or pixel 10. Pixels have never been strong performers, but do work very well from my experience.
I'm ordering the Pixel 8a from Google next week. I have the 8 Pro and I love it, but I just need a smaller phone to carry while trail running and hiking. I had the S22 but I didn't like Samsungs software. Google has it for $399 plus I have $25 in Google store credit so it's a no-brainer. Now to decide between the Bay Blue or the White Porcelain color 🤔. Great video thanks.
Nailed it. I will save that I didn't notice the modem from 8 pro to 9 xl, so the 9a might be amazing if you're solely looking at the "a" series. XL or nothing for me though!
Great analysis, thank you! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
I have the 9 Pro XL and the finger pint sensor still a pain as it take multiple time to work. Where as the 3 XL with the sensor on the back worked just about every time, it jus worked. So for me the front sensor take multiple time to open my phone, very frustrating. I still like the Droid with the pull out slider keyboard.
I think there's a little confusion about this video, or maybe I didn't explain my positioning well enough... If you have the chance to get the Pixel 8a on sale for $379 (quite a possibility this holiday season) or the Pixel 9 on sale for $550 (also quite a possibility), you should spend the extra money on the 9, which I strongly believe is worth the difference in price (I explain why in the video). As I said in the video, if you live in a country where the pricing doesn't line up that way, obviously it is not worth it. Happy to answer more questions if need be & happy holidays!
What is modern and what is not is subjective. I like the design of the Pixel 8A much better than the Pixel 9. The Pixel 9 is more angular while the Pixel 8A has more harmonious lines - in my opinion.
No they're not stopping the A series. There's a 9A on the way . The standard pixel 9 is a flagship device, the A series are high end mid rangers . Samsung makes different classes of devices, so why not Google
@@andrepower6 I've had most pixels since the 2. I've had Pro and A series pixels . I can honestly say I prefer the A series line 😉 I'm waiting to see what the 9a or 10a brings to the table
I always buy the Pixel A phone. But only when I get around £50 off. The value for money is excellent and I don't believe in spending a huge amount for a phone. With the 8a I don't think I will need to upgrade again next year. Ultimately if a phone is good enough these days I don't see the point of buying higher end models.
This seriously makes no sense. I got an 8a for 250 preowned. 9’s are staying at double that used. They seriously aren’t comparable as they aren’t even close in price. Worst idea for a comparison Ive seen.
