Great driving once again man, you are completely all-in and shows the full potential of our car. For all those that say "gt86 is a slow car", you are the living proof that it's not that slow. Love to see your videos, maybe we could meet some day in Spain, planning to go Ascari next year :p
People who says is a slow car is that kind of people who spend the time behind the computer screen watching numbers and statics, and practically nothing behind a wheel. Almost the 80% don't even know how to drive manual. Simple like that "The car needs a turbo" "Slow" "the timing laps in Nurbugring...." "My mother SUV goes faster" 4 classical phrases to recognize who understand about cars and driving and who don't.
@@GastonMaqueda I never said it was designed for drag races. I never implied that it's a bad car. I said that the car is slow at straight lines. That includes any racetrack with a straight line-ish part. 86 will be slow at those particular parts Why did you bring up the Ferrari?
The GT86 is not powerful. But it is wrong to say it is slow. It has enough power for the weight. And most people who complain that it lacks power, are too bad at driving to be in the proper gear at the right time, and to take corners correctly. These people who put down the GT86, need to rely on 500+ hp cars to be fast, because their technique is so utterly lacking. They need a car that can accelerate fast from 2000rpm without downshifting.
Very fast, indeed, but maybe a bit too nervous when other cars don't move to the right instantly when you appear behind them. They can broke you lap time attempt, but in the end this is tourist lap, so these things happen. For example the fact that the 991 doesn't run away so much in fast sections seems to mean that he is not so experienced, and others may be even less experienced. Even many rookies can be there.
Your really good! Im 10 years old i really want to drive a nur gt86 in real life i wish that my wish comes true i always use the gt86 in granturismo sport ill try to make it like yours!
I remember being just like you guys :'). 25 year old who's wanted the gt86 ever since it debuted in 2012. I was so happy to finally reach my goal of graduating school and buying a 2019 GT86. Keep studying and saving boys, you'll get there someday!
Great stuff. Excellent driving. I’m looking for a sports car at the min. Looking at a used Cayman for around £12k which is really old and probably going to cost a lot to run with maintenance etc. Then the GT86 springs to mind, you get a newer car that you can thrash all day long. I’m not bothered about the badge. I just want a sports car I can use everyday, thrash it down the back roads and have fun with.
Buy the gt86 but the 2014+ models because most of the problems of the early models were solved, the cayman will be a pain in the ass when it comes to maintenance and also they aint realiable
@@nigelsmith7366 No shit, but this proves that for 99% of people who put down the GT86 as slow, the real issue is between the seat and the steering wheel. Not under the hood of the car. The GT86 is a platform that can be pushed very hard. It has great driving characteristics. It is easy to drive fast. It is a great car to learn racing or drifting. But clout chasing "car enthusiasts" avoid getting one "because it is slow". And then they drive their 500hp car slower than a good driver could push a stock BRZ/GT86.
@@samisuhonen9815 the biggest problem with the gt86 is they should have put a 5thgen 3sgte... 260hp stock but room for so much more at a very reasonable cost vs having to do full engine swap to the boxer 6 or similar STI type set up
