Claiming a winner here is a bit dubious. The penetration was so similar, minor variations in density across the wood panels could have made the difference. The slight difference in the angle of bullet travel could also be a factor.
I got a video in my channel (9mm 115gr S&B fmj vs 9mm 115gr Aguila fmj) where I fired five times each "brand" and the clear winner was Sellier & Bellot. Later on (unfortunately off camera) I shot five times 9mm 124gr fmj Sellier & Bellot and the winner still was the 115gr from S&B BUT by a very "SMALL" margin. I think Sellier and Bellot is one of the best out there ammo brands. Thanks brother!
@@jacktheshark7440 I found a site selling S & B 115gr FMJ @ $15 per box of 50. Seems like a good price for high quality ammo. What have you been paying?
@@kenhiett5266 I have stored a lot of 115gr fmj for the unpredictable future since I found how powerful clean reliable elegant and so available this Sellier & Bellot has been at present, I just know the cost went up several times I made the last purchases, but I love so much this ammo!
I personally only shoot 124 grain in 9x19. I bought 1000 rounds of 124 grain S&B FMJ just before the plandemic. Glad I did. I should have bought 5 times as much at that price (165.00 USD). Nice practice rounds. I find S&B to be clean and consistent.
@@jasko8121 The 115 grain recoils a little snappier because of the higher speed, so I personally prefer the 124 grain as range and competition ammo. They're usually the same price as the 115 grain when you get the big 250-round boxes, but almost none of the stores here even has the 115 grain.
Nice, thanks for the vid! Good simple quick test BUT you should have done that same test TWICE. Just so you can verify and show that the results are constant.
Strangely enough, I was trying to range my optic on short barrelled PCC and for some reason SB 124gr was flying all around the bullseye(center of group was correct), making me quite perplexed. I tried 115gr and the dispersion was somewhat what I expected. Another thing that surprised me was that 150gr subsonic SBs were flying higher than both 115 and 124 with dispersion similar to 115gr. Anyone had similar strange experience or did I encounter some bad box of 124s?
I look at this and it just reitirate the fact that when you get in a self defense situation , you really have to think what is behind the target and shooting downward is a better option mostly..
I personally think the 115 grain is a bit more snappy and the muzzle rises a bit more. If you're looking for range or competition ammo, better get the 124 grain, you'll be faster.
I use 124 gr but sellier &bellot should make it hotter. 124 gr mass but more speed.... This the only I have and I count on it while in the forrest in case I get attacked by wild boar which is not unlikely the other day we (me and my kids) met 6 of them maybe 360 pounds the largest. Taurus pt 92 can manage hotter rounds....
I would use 124 gr NATO rounds for that purpose maybe. Quite a bit hotter than standard pressure loads. I use them for practice since they match closer to my carry rounds, which are 124 grain +P Gold Dot. Using the NATO for practice gives me about the same recoil and point of impact as the +Ps
@@jacktheshark7440 S&B are good quality range and competition ammo. They are precise and consistent out of almost every gun. But I wouldn't necessarily carry them for defense against wild boar, there are hotter and more deadly 9x19 rounds out there for defense.
Love the thinner boards. Great presentation 😎
Great video. I will carry which ever round I can get a better deal.
Thank you. I really enjoy your videos.
Your videos weee just suggested by TH-cam I am enjoying them and your style!
Only difference for me is the 124 grain are harder to find than the 115gr or 147 grain.
Excellent demonstration. Thank you sir
Thank you for you fine work my brother

Great video. Try again with hollow points . With the most light weight ammo vs higher weight ammo of a g17
The winner is whichever is on major sale

Yes, S&B is very clean and consistent, i prefer 115gr because is a little bit more powerful.

It would be nice if you took the bullets out and let us see if they expanded or what they look like...
Where have you been, Jack the Shark?

Very good video. Separate the boards about an inch the results may change. I subscribed...
well, the big difference is their price per round, at least in Europe
Nice video bro.
How many inches this thickness off woods.
One inch of pinewood! Thanks!
Very nice penetration test,do you have 12 gauge gun and 3006 rifle?
Not yet brother, I never hunt but going up a mountain soon, thanks for watching!

Please do 22 LR from small handgun, revolver.
Watched a few of your videos. Sir, you MUST buy a holster for your weapon!
Nice video which had less recoil 115gr or 124gr?
The same recoil in both, and 115gr is a little bit more powerful.
Thanks
