Very good videos Barnaby. Thank you for all that information. I'm looking to EV an old Discovery TD5. 360,000Kms on the clock but the bodywork is lovely. So thought I'd give it a go. Look forward to more videos.
...and the cost??? This is surely the most important thing we all want to know. Could I buy this kit and convert my Land Rover myself? That would be amazing!
Hi George, the cost varies dramatically. Each battery in this pack is about £1,200. The best thing to do if you're looking for an accurate quote for your vehicle is to fill out this form. Then our team will work it out and get back to you. Doing it yourself is not recommended, the wiring looms, contactor circuits and canbus systems for example need expertise from a professional to make! www.electriccarconverts.com/contact
I use my land rover 90 for local runs to work 4-5days a week and off roading events a few times a month. I have been considering an electric conversion but have been seeing some frightening prices . With Monroe building an electric Ibex with a finished price of £55-60,000 spending more than that to convert my Defender seams pointless. Please tell me there is an affordable option that I can retain my air locking diffs, winch and big tyres.
Hi Graham! We set up ECC to try and bring the cost of converting down as much as possible - as we agree that some of the price tags are simply ridiculous. Please fill out this form on our website with a few details and we can get back to you with an accurate price which will be less than half of what you've put above! www.electriccarconverts.com/contact

Good stuff! Didnt know you could run these batteries without cooling.
There's always a lot to learn Peter! Stay tuned for more videos!
