Yeah nothing wrong with the erc. Solid golf ball. They made some improvements from the last generation for sure. Also like that different alignment tool they have
These balls definitely have gotten better since the previous version, especially with durability. It’s still not durable, but I tried one for a round (brand new too), and had to stop after the third hole because the cover literally started chipping off (I didn’t hit a tree or anything, the ball just started falling apart after a bunker shot). I make a point to try all the Callaway golf balls, so I am praying that these survive a round of decent play.
Thank you very much for sharing your feedback. I agree I think they're better also. Every year if they just continue to get a little better than in a few years Callaway will have a real contender
@@GolfBallAddict I have always loved callaway as a brand. They have something for everyone, pretty much every ball is customizable, and they are generally good for the price. The only thing they don’t have is that tour level ball. I’m swinging faster and faster each year so hopefully by the time they make a contender to the ProV1 and TP5 I can play it for myself!
Hands up to Callaway, they are trying various things to improve the golf ball. No real consistency with the spin, low with the irons, higher with the woods. Low launch angle with the irons does not help in stopping the ball. If I see any here in Thailand I would like to try them. The alignment markings look like a real plus and could help many of us. All in all a great review of a decent golf ball. The Inesis 900 will stay as my number 1 ball but I will try others on your videos and comments.
i've been playing this ball for awhile. i find it interesting that your driver numbers were low, because for me the driver is super strong. it really launches off the club face for me. if you're interested, i use an 8 degree mavrik and my average carry is like 230-235 yards. i have no idea what my swing speed is.
love your reviews! going to try some of your top 10 balls. I had my foursome play with an old ball I had laying around, an idea from your vidoes, the Chaos. I shot my best round of the year and the group only lost one ball. Interesting in that you do not need Hi end ball of the year to score and save money for cocktails!
Thank you very much for the kind words. I am super excited to try the new Wilson chaos. I just placed an order and it will move to the top of the list quickly.
Love the kitty, what's is name? ERC is a very good ball, just costs way too much. Q-Star tour( and divide) much better for the same price or less if you get the buy 2 get 1 free.
I tried these a few months back. Performed a lot like the AVX very low launch and for me not great feel. Ended up giving them away as I need higher launch.
I have played the ERC more in the past 10 months than most any other ball. The alignment tool is nice. Dimple pattern very inconsistent and so are the balls. They are not the longest but they will hold the green better than Titleist AVX . I can spin enough to hold a green with hybrids or wedge compared to my AVX . I just have a hard time finding consistently quality in the dozen .
Callaway has struggled with that in the past too. I know they have gotten a ton better but I hope they continue to make improvements. I also wish they would improve the durability and stop with this proprietary blend stuff.
Played these balls yesterday for the first time and they felt hot off the driver. Felt like an improvement from the supersofts but price point is high imo. Solid ball but supersofts are what I’ll stick to.
I have been curious about the ERC for some time now. I don't like the durability analysis outcome here. Thats a deal breaker. 40 bucks for them when you can grab Vice Pro Air or Taylormade Speedsoft is crazy. I will take the later two any day. Thanks much for the review. Joe
I agree with you 100%. Calloway has been one of the main offenders when it comes to completely changing their proprietary blend on their tour and value tour balls. The result has not been great
I find these balls now and then and the only reason I use them is the triple track alignment aid for putting. Otherwise I think they are way over priced. I have also noticed poor driver distance like you had. I would much rather play the Vice, Tailormade Tour Response or the Wilson Triad or Staff balls for that price.
Yeah the performance wasn't quite up to par. Pun intended. I actually really enjoyed that fade alignment tool they had. It's been sticking in my mind over the last couple weeks
Yeah they are, especially when I'm losing 3 or 4 balls a round. I managed to stock up on Wilson Zip balls during prime days so I'm set for a while. Love the channel and looking forward to more reviews.

LOL I mentioned it more in detail in my last live video, but it's actually quite the opposite. My top 10 video blew up so much that all of a sudden their orders were 10 times more than they used to be. They only get stock a couple times per year which is common for most golf ball companies. It honestly wasn't their fault. I mean they have sales data from every year and all of a sudden 5,000 people per month are watching that top 10 and all of them want to try the number one ball. I've been in communications with them and they are extremely kind and helpful. But I promise you they're not going out of business, quite the opposite, 😁🥳😂
@@GolfBallAddict thank you you thank you for this update…that makes sense now!! Unfortunately I’m down to 6 balls and someone on eBay is trying to sell his for $140😡😡😡🤬🤬. I’ll have to go back to my TP5 until I can reorder… I knew I should have bought enough to last a year when you put that video out 🤣🤣😂🤣
Sorry man, good video but completely irrelevent if you dont add comparable numbers. You only add “smash” but is your AoA, swing path, clubface impact, ect…the same or extremely close with every test. We all have great/good/bad swing days. For me to put any weight into any test i want to see the numbers. Were numbers the same for Supersoft and ERC? 139 smash on driver isnt great and has very little to do with compression and alot to do with hitting center face with square club. My recommendation would be adding testing numbers, even just simple screenshots. Example. Driver. 2 degrees outside with clubface 3 degrees open is very different than 1 degree inside with 1 degree closed face. Is that really a fair test? Trust me, amatuers have alot more variance than that and cant feel it, only numbers matter.
I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. I definitely understand where you're coming from. But we'll just have to agree to disagree. The whole reason so many people like my channel is because of the human factor. It's so easy to find golf ball reviews with robots. The point of my channel is to collect data and review golf balls from the perspective of the average swinger. So in that way you're right, the average swinger has a good and bad days. However when I'm hitting 70 plus balls into a net and taking only the best shots out of the 70, I'm fully confident that the numbers I'm getting represent the performance of the golf ball. I also firmly believe this because of my track record at this point. Thousands of people have emailed me over the last 4 years to let me know they have found their gamer ball because of my reviews. If it was completely irrelevant then there wouldn't be so many people watching and trusting the channel. My advice would be stopped looking at it from a black and white perspective and just understand that not all scientific test are that clear. Have a wonderful day. Thank you again so much for watching and commenting. It really helps the channel out 😃
This ball isn’t durable at all! I chipped them in my garage simulator set-up. The alignment tool was good and I liked the performance, but I’ll never buy them again because the cover is weak.
A couple years ago all these ball company started doing proprietary blends and it's honestly just been a disaster. Maybe eventually it'll be okay, but there's been a lot of growing pains
Keep up the reviews! I like the way you do testing.
Thank you so much. I'm working very hard to have more time for reviews soon.
Asked for Chrome Tour for Christmas, but got these instead. Your review gives me some comfort, since I didn’t get a return receipt. Thanks!

I found a Callaway ball on the course that had a 3/8" chip out of it as well. I can't recall seeing that kind of damage on another golf ball.
I tried this ball this year…I liked it, but I won’t buy them again because durability was terrible.
Good video. I think even for the average golfer eg 10 handicap you are probably best going for the Chrome Soft. A bit more money but worth it.
It's really a much better golf ball. As it should be for the money you are spending

awesome!!!

Definitely positioned between the SuperSoft and the Chrome Soft. Closest competitor would be the TM Tour Response.
Yes. 100 percent. That would be another great comparison video
